Zappeion Apartments - West Perth

The apartments are spacious and large, a great balcony, the Brazilian at the reception is super helpful and polite, there is a need for some adjustments in room 12, noisy air conditioning in the room, the pans were stored dirty, the bathroom has a huge leak and needs to be sealed better, and the supermarket is quite far to walk, the rest was fine the area is very quiet, when there are no other uneducated guests around, I still recommend

I would never stay there again. The carpets were grotty and lots of stains. The screen in the door to the balcony was in disrepair. It wouldn't keep insects out. There were 3 aircons, but two remote controllers weren't working. There was a hole in one of the lounge chairs, which had feathers coming out. A hole in the bedroom wall. Scorch marks on a wooden table. There was a huge amount of rules. One rule of stated there was a limit of 4 adults and two children for this two bedroom apartment. We had 4 adults, yet there was only cutlery and dishes and coffee cups for 3. We stayed for 3 days, but there was dishwashing detergent for 1 day, but rules about leaving dishes. There are no spare rubbish bags but strict rules about rubbish. And unadvertised $200 bond for noise complaints, the second noise replaint gets you booted with another $200 fee. $200 if the room isn't let to their satisfaction, $200 if the room needs servicing during the stay. $200 if you get locked out. There were more rules here than any other place we stayed in WA, especially considering the standard we found the room in. $200 dollars for smoking anywhere on the property.
We turned up, and there was no reception. We had to go up to a 1km down the road to another accommodation building to get our keys.
These were some of the issues we had, we were very disappointed considering the price we paid.

Our experience with Zappeion was not great. We had several problems with our room, to which the staff at the other hotel checkin counter (as there isn't one at Zappeion) didn't really seem very interested in rectifying any time soon. We contacted them several times about the issues and in the 5 days we were there several of the issues were not even addressed. Both toilet seats were partly broken, the toilet in one room was dirty and not cleaned properly (took 2 phone calls and speaking to housekeeping directly to get this cleaned), the shower leaked in several places, there was a door handle missing and in pieces on the bench in the laundry, there was washing left in the machine for several days, neither of the ovens in 2 rooms we stayed in (1 night and then 5 nights) have oven trays, missing bits on the door in the fridge and the shower head had quite a few nozzles missing.

Stayed for 1 night and had to have a cold shower, carpet was filthy, stains on the bed sheets, no cool aircon, so much noise from things in the building if it was squeaky water pipes I'm not sure but every 5mins i would hear a sound like a dog yelping is the best way to describe it, and on top of that there was also a sound like an extra loud kettle boiling every that went on constantly throughout the night. The worst nights sleep ever and a cold shower just to make the experience just that little bit better. Oh and the 4,250ml bottles of water placed on the kitchen worktop with a $3 sticker on each of them, seriously. I'll leave it there and have it straight from the tap

This would have to be the worst place I have stayed at in Australia, Air con not working dishwasher had been removed and sink leaking into the cupboard below, the afterhours contact is ran from another country so no help what so ever.
Will never stay with this organisation again.

Recently had the opportunity to stay at Zappeion apartments and I can ensure you that if I ever head back to the West the Zappeion apartments will somewhere where I definitely won’t be staying
They had cancelled our booking on arrival and My family tried to sort it out after a long travelling day with myself coming from Queensland and the rest of the Family coming from NewZealand they were not helpful so we had to find alternate accomodation
on our return visit to Perth despite the stressful first night we gave them a opportunity to amend their mistakes but the apartment they gave us which was suppose to have city views had garage views there was no air con working when Perth was extremely hot and they had also taken the dishwasher out and to top it off because the dishwasher had been disconnected they forgot to plumb the sink so when more daughter poured some liquid down the sink it ended up being on the bottom of the cabinetry
Staff were not helpful at all trying to solve the accomodation issues
1st and last time for me at the Zappeion
If you are considering booking here do yourself a favour and don’t stay here

Neat and clean with good views back towards the CBD.
