Zafferano

In what appears to have once been a house, lies Zafferanos, purveyors of some of the finest food you have eaten, their wares are full of fresh land meat and sea insects you have ever eaten. One of the few places in Australia where the beef tastes as good and tender as the best meats we normally export to other countries.

Great dinning experience, the waitress didn’t really understand any questions we asked and was hard to understand but apart from that it was good food and good service

Good service but was expecting a bit more flavour in the food. It was good but didn't make me want to go back there. Both my partner and I ordered a steak with potato, but the steak was missing some salt and pepper and the veggies were not cooked enough. We were one of the first clients in the restaurant on that Wednesday so they were not too crowded to overlook those things.

The atmosphere seems very cool from outside! Also seems like a fancy restaurant

To night went out with me brother inlaw gav for tea to zafferano in west perth one of the best place I have had the pleasure of eating at food is high class and mite be bit up there on price but worth It i be going back and taking me wife for lovley meal the staff were very pleasant and the chef is so good at his job

Beautiful food, service and atmosphere. It was so nice to go to a restaurant that the music was in the background. The wait staff had impeccable service skills and the food was impeccably sensational. Thank you.

First time here and felt welcome as soon as we entered the restaurant. Service was fantastic throughout the night, food was out of the world. I will definitely be back.

I have always been wanting to try this restaurant, the food is absolutely mouthwatering. Though I don’t know much about the wines but they do have good collection of wines, this hidden gem is a must try!

I attended a dinner with my wife's work colleagues. The food was great, the service fantastic. The atmosphere excellent, quiet enough to hold a conversation without shouting but the low level background noise reminded me that I was at a restaurant. Excellent, worth a visit.

Dined in on the 24th. Can’t fault Mark and his team although I’ve given a 3 star for the simple fact that the main meal size portion that you get for the seafood linguine is pretty poor for $49, expected a decent amount more.

Tasted delicious though. Keep it up.

My partner and I dined on Saturday evening. We were greeted by friendly and effient staff and shown to our table
We ordered scallops and prawns for entree. Both dishes were delicious and a good size serve. For mains we ordered rib eye steak and snapper with seasonal veg on the side. My steak was moist very tender and cooked perfectly med rare. I would say best steak ever! My partners snapper was outstanding also

We highly recommend this wonderful place to eat. The food was exquisite and vegetarian choices lovely. We had our 22nd wedding anniversary celebration here tonight. The staff are very attentive and professional.

This was the first time I have been to Zafferano since they moved into the old Villa D'Este premises. This "new" restaurant seems to have picked up the best parts of both the older restaurants.

They have a good menu, not as extensive as Villa D'Este, but still good. Extra seafood on the menu is the Zafferano influence.

My dining partner is vegetarian, so I was particularly impressed with the vegetarian menu. However, it wasn't initially offered. If I hadn't seen it on their website, I wouldn't have known to ask for it.

There was a very impressive wine list, covering all price points. The wine by the glass was a bit expensive but.

Excellent service - from the friendly greeting and throughout the meal. The decor is traditional (bit dated) so didn't fill us with high expectations but the food was exceptional. My lamb was cooked perfectly and my wife's fish (one of the specials - all of which sounded great) was cooked to perfection.

Way over priced. Food taste like nothing. Pay so much to be disappointed. Fish taste very bad and had no flavour at all. (snapper). Calamari was so bad came out in like 30 seconds taste like baby food and the sauce they served with it was soo bad. On a good note workers are super nice, respectful and very caring.

Now I have to make it up to my wife with a better birthday dinner.

We dined at Zafferano’s last Saturday evening. It’s a very elegant restaurant, classy and chic. The maitre’d is welcoming and very professional. The chef attended our table to greet us and welcome us back and the staff are attentive but unobtrusive. Service was slick although the restaurant was busy. The food was excellent. My husband had the seafood chowder to start which he thoroughly enjoyed and I ordered the scallops which were beautiful. We both ordered the duckling which was cooked well and beautifully presented. We shared a bottle of good red and a dark chocolate with honeycomb dessert, delicious! We love this restaurant and it’s always a pleasure to dine here. It’s a great place for a special occasion or just couples wanting great food, a nice atmosphere and an excellent overall dining experience. We will return again.and again.

Found this place about two years ago, have been five times each time super happy, I have wheat and dairy allergies and they always cater for me, very friendly and accomodating. I always rave about this place. Credit where credit is due.

However last week my partner and I took a friend for a birthday lunch there, didn’t find the service as friendly as normal but not unpleasant. My partner ordered the lamb and had no faults. Myself and our friend ordered the snapper, I took one mouthful and could not eat it, I don’t know if it was the oil that tasted burnt or old or if it was the fish itself, but it was so greasy (I even asked the waitress to ask the chef if they had poured butter over it), but I am fussy I said I didn’t want and they took it away. My friend had a few more mouthfuls and is not fussy like myself, even he couldn’t eat it. When the waitress asked and I told her, nothing was done about it an “ow sorry” as it was taken away. My partner paid and I do not expect a free meal but nothing was even offered or taken off the bill not even an apology as we left. For the $300 we where charged, we will not be returning customers. I don’t know if they changed chefs or management but very disappointing.

The service the moment you step into this beautiful Mediterranean restaurant is outstanding. A beautiful atmosphere, clean glasses, table service, clean table cloths, The food is beautiful we had the seafood chowder to start lovely flavours and nice to start. Then had the steak with the balsamic field mushroom and roast potatoes was the best steak I've had in a very long time. Had a lovely Toblerone cocktail. And to finish the night I had the pleasure of having the limonchello and mascarpone tart and wow amazing. Thankyou for making our kid free night a beautiful experience. We will be back
