Woolworths reviews
465: 30pm and no staffed checkouts open. Expected to scan your own groceries and deal with a scanning system that treats you like a thief. Ask yourself where you can spend $200 or more each week and get treated like a criminal.
The most helpful staff ever.
It was a shame they had to be so helpful to make up for the appalling mess up the woolworths APP created! The app was totally useless
This store sits on top of the underground parking area. When you walk into the doors, there is a elevator to get down to the Post Office. The elevator has had problems for sometime now and I was told it wont be fixed this year.
Unimpressed by my recent visit. I purchased multiple boxes of tissues which displayed a yellow specials tag of $2 ea. Upon going through the checkout they displayed $3.50 ea. An assistant went to confirm, coming back with a picture showing an everyday price tag (white tag) of $2.60 for tissue above. She denied removing any tags but I know there was a yellow tag. If I only had my own picture of proof but until you get to the checkout how would you know. Just be honest
Jessie didn’t have time to serve me on the quick checkout as she was hovering over the phone with her co worker, I was greeted with ’ please don’t do that’ as I started to place my items on the counter. No ‘checkout closed’ signs, just ‘please don’t do that’
Can anyone remind me who pays Jessie’s ages? I think it’s the customer.
I have been shopping at Woolies Melville for years and I always find what I need at great prices. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the store is clean and well-organized. I love their range of fresh produce, meat, deli, and bakery items, as well as their weekly specials and catalogue offers.
I hate grocery shopping, but the friendly staff make it a lot less stressful. The fresh produce guy (Troy?) So helpful. Also the sushi is hands down the best!
There's a first time for everything. Today I experienced the rudest checkout operator ever! Definitely needs some official training.
Bloody awful.
Required an item of mens clothing, that I've bought before which they had but in different colours.
I requested that they
order from manufacturer.
They advised me that can only had what was sent to them.
Eventually ordered myself direct from Bonds.
Underground parking bays are wide enough for easily loading shopping in the car. Aisles are well labelled so you can do a quick shop. Shelves are kept well stocked. Great variety of fruit and vegetables, bakery items and a sushi section. There are several ways to pay - with self service checkouts always busy. There's always a staff member to help.
My favourite place to shop.
So many familiar faces and kind assistance from the people who work there. Some I even know by name.
Wishing you all a safe, healthy, contented and Blessed New Year.
With much affection.
Freida Young.
I love shopping at Woolworths Wilagee. Park underneath store, lift up to shop, easy to get around. Cant walk very far so, Great and easy shopping for me.
Woolworth is the store to visit for the prices, the variety, the friendly staff and especially, the quick service going thru the Tills. It beats Coles any day in my book. I always feel I'm getting fresh produce which looks and tastes great when I get home.
Love the variety here - great deli, hot food, sushi bar -awesome! But parking there and traffic around that corner can be a nightmare (especially during peak hour). And watch the speed bumps outside - they hurt
I quite like shopping at Woolies, but this was a little outside of my normal territory with terrible access and exit. I suppose locals are used to it!
Store is good, parking underground is easy but up top it gets hectic. Some of the checkout people are friendly, some aren't.
Smaller Woolworths with BWS, main entrance access is via Stock road, with Post Office and parking underneath
At the moment the butcher and the delicatessen have combined and renovations are occurring. Quite chaotic. Woolworths has said this will be finished by August 2020.
Went in today (27 June) Despite the forecast being 18*c with rain, it was actually 21*c with 91% humidity (my car has outside weather detection) and they had the f'g heaters on- it was humid & warm out side of fridge/freezer areas. Talking of fridge areas, they have all the fridge stuff spread across the entire store, so if you want sea food which is at the front of the store it will sit in your trolly for however long it takes to get to the back of the store for ice cream, I think they're trying to be clever with the whole psychology lay out thing but it's ridiculous, people know what they want and where to get it so put put all the cold stuff together at the back of the store so it's the last thing people put in there trollies (simple really). Other than that the staff are nice and very well presented and the prices are normal!
Stammers or Stock Road. Don't forget to swipe your Rewards card. Woollies is my pick of the big boys. More out of geolocale but never disappointed. Admittedly I fruit n veg shop at different localities.
