Woody Island Eco Tours reviews
9 What a great little island beautiful surrounding water great for snorkelling and fishing
A beautiful place for a walking tour and camping is available to
We did a boat ride around the nearby islands spotting seals dolphins heaps of bird life and some fantastic walks over the island which is truly magnificent
The Tour guide was brilliant and so to the boat tour around interesting rocks and small islands
Your can have lunch and drinks at the kiosk or just sit and relax and go for a swim in the sheltered little and protected coves
Top spot folks of the day or a week camping in the campgrounds
Come and enjoy the weather and the natural surroundings
A pretty natural island with glamping. Setting and facilities are good however no sandy beaches.
We loved the experience. Great team of people looking after us, beautiful place, great amenities, snorkelling was wonderful, birds sounds magic
Great trip across the Bay to Woody Island.
The guide on the day, Linda, was helpful and knowledgeable. On the way we saw sea Eagles and seals. The day tour of the island was interesting, the views spectacular. We were blessed to see some native rats, king skinks and numerous birds.
Great place fantastic staff great trip over on the boat. The only thing a bit of tlc getting old
Pros: the couple's retreat glamping tent was awesome, very comfortable bed/linen/towels. Staff were very helpful and the tour of the island was very good. Camp kitchen well equipped (kettle, toaster, microwave, gas stove) and heaps of fridge space if bringing lots of food. Tap water drinkable so don't need to bring this.
Cons: we tried multiple days and times and left messages to contact the office and ask questions about our 3 day stay but noone returned our calls. So many mosquitoes, especially in the composting toilets and showers (use the only flushing toilets to avoid this). Menu is quite limited and not particularly healthy if you're staying a few days. Small bug - tea towels in the camp kitchen need a good wash, felt backwards to dry your clean plate with them.
We booked accommodation on Thursday to Friday one month ago, and we've got phone call about telling us to change to Wednesday before we started our trip, and we changed our plans to have a daily tour on Wednesday however they called us again, they asked us to change to Thursday. If we can't, they will refund us. I don't know what to say, just thanks for giving us a "wonderful" service and breaking our trip.
We spent two nights here on woody island and we had one of the best holiday experiences. The staff were amazing particularly Carie / Lo/ Nik / Trav thanks guys help for best time on island. Thanks Toby as well for taking us for the walk tour on his second day of job he did really well.
Les is a very kind man who took the time and effort to have a yarn with us. Knows this place like the back of his hand. Has alot of knowledge about the island and truly breathtaking experience. The guided tour was great with alot of history provided. Definitely worth the drive
