Winthrop Hall reviews
35Great venue, always a pleasure to be there. It was raining, thunder lightning.which made the night at the hall even more special.
Winthrop Hall is one of Perth's most spectacular Halls. This was a Mozart Concert of one hour, which suited our family as our 2 boys had High School the next day.
Amazing venue, and had the pleasure listening to my daughter and her fiancee have there solo performances singing Beethoven.
Steeped in history.
A wonderful location for performing arts.there are stories everywhere in the Hall.
An institution within another institution (UWA).
Special!
From bus stop one cam easily reach there thought underground walkway. Outside view is beautiful. It would be memorable background for picture clicking.
Winthrop Hall is a nice spot at UWA to relax, and of course take great photos! I recently shot a wedding there and unfortunately the water wasn't reflective and quite murky, but still the archways and buildings provide for a beautiful location.
Attended a graduation ceremony here.this building i'm sure is steeped in a tradition, the time when building looked like fortified edifices.big sandstone structure, with a gothic, cathedral-like interior, with massive oak (?) wood bars holding up the roof.truly magnificent
This is a magical place that evoke sense of place and your achievement there. Beautiful architecture inside and out.
UWA and many of the older buildings here are absolutely beautiful, and Winthrop Hall is no exception. It's worth visiting, whether you're a tourist, local and/or a student.this building is beautiful both inside and out. It might not be much for Europeans who have these types of buildings scattered across Europe, but for Perth, it's one of our gems.
Winthrop Hall is a very characteristic building this is the third time I have been here for my children's graduation.
Nice place. Comfy seats and very scenic views would recommend to anybody who needs a place for a large gathering.
Visited during upmarket which is a quarterly market held here offering food from many different countries and also lots of stalls with lots of little craft things from jewellery, candles and fashion wares.
If person has a knee problem or requires assistance to walk this a no go as there is a lot of steps. Great venue, went there for chorale performance.
Iconic Clock Tower of UWA. I had my lunch sometimes here. It is also a popular photo spot for wedding and for student after graduation ceremony.
Amazing place! So much history and one could feel the old indigneous spirits. Highly recommend a visit even if only flying to Australia to see the opera house.
