Wing Soon Chinese Restaurant reviews
46Delicious, yummy, good food portion. Favorite Chinese restaurant. Their squid and fried chicken with fried rice are not to be missed!
Had a booking for 6pm for 7 pax. Wait Staff (Young Adolescent) showed us to the Table on arrival. Took approximately 20mins to take our table order. 30mins later the Entrees arrived minus two dishes we had ordered. Enquired with another Wait Staff Member who said they would check with the Kitchen. Another 25mins passes and I enquire again. Wait Staff said he will confirm with the Kitchen - again. Returns to the table with our order which was completely incorrect and missing not only our Entrees but also had incorrect Mains. Wait Staff apologised and walk off. Comes back to confirm order again - still no Entrees. Mains begin to arrive - staggered over a 25min period. Finally settle into our Mains just after 8pm. Meanwhile, other tables that have arrived after us have eaten and departed. A steady stream of UBER Eats and Door Dash Drivers come and go - all seemingly prioritised over seated patrons. 2 other tables, also with large group bookings, waited over 2hrs for their meals also. One of these tables requested to speak with the Manager - Manager never fronted and left the situation to the adolescent teen Wait Staff to sort. Poor showing by Owner/Manager. Never again. Avoid at all costs!
Great quality food! As a dine in regular, food has always been fresh and tasty! Definitely will be back!
Tasty food and good sized portions. Been here many times and always kicks in my taste buds! A hidden gem among the other restaurants and should always give it a try!
We all really enjoyed our meals.
Fresh, tasty, thankyou for the Gluten fee options.
Delicious. We didn't have to wait very long under 25min.
Out if 10
Fryed Rice 8. Mongolian Beef 8. GF Honey Chicken 9. GF Steam Duck & Mushrooms 7. Sweet n sour pork 6.
All were full of favour
Thankyou we will be back
I ordered through Uber eats & when I got the order which was on time the Satay beef tasted funny. I contacted the restaurant & they told me they marinate the beef overnight. I believe this beef I tasted was off & they won't admit to it. Is it me or has anyone else had the same problem with quality control of food & consistency from this place?
Good Mongolian Prawns
Not bad Vegetarian Fried Rice
Not good Satay Chicken? Unusual flavour.
You order by phone and they tell you it will be ready in 20-25 minutes. We arrived after 35 minutes, previous experiences showed that they are always a “bit behind”. This time was a total joke, we ended up waiting another 30 minutes. Which made it over an hour in total. When asked when it will be ready they don’t even apologise for the inconvenience, they just say “5 more minutes”. Last time I came here
Food is fantastic, prices are fair but inside could do with a little bit of work. Nothing that detracts from the food but.
Very unorganized and dirty place.
When you order a pick up, they say 15 min.we get there in 20 and still have to wait another 10 minutes or so as it's never ready on time.
Also the staff have no manners.
The food is ok.but had better.
Andy Dufresne - who trawled through two delicious large Seafood with Beancurd Claypots and came out clean on the other side.
Good food. The honey chili chicken is a bit sweet though. But the egg fried rice is delicious along with the Mongolian beef
We drove 20 minutes to try out this place as it was suggested by food forums on Facebook for their ability to cater for people with food intolerance and allergies. They certainly did not disappoint! The staff were familiar and confident with handling food allergy requests. My son has wheat allergy and was able to enjoy his first ever restaurant quality Sweet and Sour Pork and he loved it. The coating was crunchy and you wouldn't even know it was wheat free/gluten free. We will certainly come back!
Terrible food. I ordered Teriyaki Chicken and this is what they gave me. Worst food I have eve encountered.
Wing Soon - More like wing later!
We ordered on a Friday night but we ordered well before 6 pm (through Uber) so we should have beaten the rush. 100 minutes later, the restaurant was still preparing our order.
Beancurd veges - the tofu was shrivelled and tasted like old oil fish had been fried in. Veges were edible but among the worst chinese vegetables I've ever had in terms of taste. Very few green or coloured veges, basically all onion and cauliflower.
Honey king prawns - they weren't sticky at all. There were no crispy noodles or sesame seeds. Batter was a bit soggy. Sauce was overly sweet (yes, I know it's meant to be very sweet, but this was just like sugar syrup with no balance of flavour at all).
Fried duck with "peking sauce" - The duck had no skin, it was just battered, the meat was chewy. The sauce was nice but tasted nothing at all like peking sauce.
The steamed rice was good and the prawn crackers were good.
So $70 dollars and 2.5 hours later I had steamed rice and prawn crackers for dinner.
We lodged a complaint with Uber and 5 minutes later got an automated reply saying they had investigated and settled the matter: D yeah right!
Really bad service tonight. I waited 50 minutes for 2 items. The lady who brought my order out from the kitchen apologised but the two staff at the front couldn't care less. Never coming back
I have never felt compelled to write a review before but I ignored the recent reviews and I want to stop others from doing the same. I ordered take away, I had to throw the whole order out. I'm not a fussy eater at all, usually I will push through but honestly I couldn't. The lemon chicken was extremely dry but also oily at the same time the sauce was watery and barely lemony, the satay veg muxt have been extremely overcooked, it was mushy and tasted floury, the steamed rice had a weird flavour. Just disappointed I wasted my money.
Found this little gem not long ago and they truly have the best Gluten Free Chinese we have ever tasted. Been back several times and will keep going, always had a great experience! Thank you)
Absolutely love this place. Excellent food wait times can vary but it definitely hits the spots and very reasonable priced
Went there as they cater for ceoliacs. Absolutely beautiful food. Can't wait to go back. They can do most of the menu gluten free. 4 ceoliacs in the family and no issues for any of us.
