Windsor reviews
46Great local cinema with excellent range of mainstream and indie movies. The staff are super helpful and chilled. The cinema is old school but great. Nice little wine bar and cheese board available… such a great experience!
Have to agree with Tommy Dobrzanski on this one regarding cinema 3, the floor lights shine on the right hand side of the screen obscuring that side of the screen and the picture itself is poor as if the contrast has been turned right down so all the detail is lost. Everything he said is accurate. After half an hour of this my wife and I walked out and got a refund on the tickets. The blonde girl who refunded our tickets said there was nothing wrong with the picture. It's a shame because I would prefare to support a smaller independent cinema than the large ones but the quality needs to be there. Sadly it wasn't in this case
An excellent old school movie theatre and the seating has been freshened so its extra comfortable
Great Cinema in Nedlands. Easy to get to, comfortable, and has all the films you want to see. We love it and like the low-key atmosphere of the place.
I love the Windsor theatre for the great movies showing and for the comfy just around the corner community feel and discount Tuesday.
Only 5 people in the theatre. Nice to be able to have a glass of sparkling while you watch a movie but very easy to spill your drink.
Nice to support independent cinema - whilst the seats aren’t like hoyts the old school art deco feel and the home made rum and raisin choc tops and their delicious pop corn make up - plus they have far more interesting shows than the big cinemas
First time attending for the British Film Festival. Impressive line up of films. I saw 4 films all in Cinema 1 which is quite large and can fit a lot of guests. The box office staff were friendly and quite prompt during a popular showing on a Tuesday night. Bus stop right out the front and ample parking behind the cinema.
A family favourite whether going to see a popular blockbuster (with younger family members) or Arthouse films (with serious film fans) or even a fundraiser for a good cause …
This Art Deco theatre has 3 screens (vary in size) from intimate to almost a multiplex size screen but retains a sense of coziness and intimacy …A little sitting area for those who wish to have a drink and discuss the movie, the option of alcohol with a well priced cheese and crackers selection as well as popcorn, chocolate, various snack options and a superior Choc top ice cream selection (they make them in house - they fill them up and my kids have always said they are the BEST in Perth!) make this so much better than the soulless big chains ….
Darren and the staff are unfailingly helpful, patient and quick to help with disabled or elderly patrons requiring aid …Local treasure indeed ….
I haven’t been here for about five years but went last night to see a documentary called Everybody’s Oma which was brilliant. I remember the seats being a bit creaky before but they have obviously had new seating installed in the large cinema. They are made of very firm foam and so not particularly comfortable. The arm rests are just a thin piece of plastic which I couldn’t even rest my elbows on. Also no cup holders so you either hold your drink or put on the floor. If you want old time cinema feel come here but I’ll stick to the larger chains for comfort…
Great theatre and a little nostalgic as have been going there since they had the 'gardens' (outdoor) in the 50's
Absolutely brilliant atmosphere at this little cinema. Staff engaging, excellent service. Fantastically funny movie "How to please a Woman". Laughed through 80% of the movie.and not just me the whole audience was laughing. Brilliant afternoon, great company. Ps filmed in WA.
Lovely cinema but the projector in Screen 1 needs updating. The picture is dull on colour and not as bright or sharp as many other cinemas around. I found a similar thing from the sound too - just a bit dull and lifeless. Just food for thought.
Love the Windsor! My wife and I have been going for, 45 years and still love it and how it has changed but still has the same charm Magical place, and Darren is so enthusiastic and welcoming!
Lovely cinema, great staff Luna cinema go out of there way to make films an experience especially during the Festivals. Thank you
I enjoy the Windsor and have going there for 30 years. Saw the Bond movie tonight and was almost deafened by the high volume. Also, it was hard to understand some of the movie’s characters apart from Craig who is always easy to understand even when is life is hanging by a thread. Please lower the volume in future.
Great service from front of desk. Witty, relevant and effective. The Paradiso lost out. The movie barely adequate but the chocolate icecream helped wile away 2 hours of a poorly interpreted Graham Swift novel.
Love this beautiful old cinema, full of warmth and character. Perfect place on the cold winter afternoon I went to see a lovely French movie. I felt totally comfy sitting in comfort sipping my glass of Prosecco while I watched the thoroughly enjoyable movie.
Saw "The Courier" movie. Very interesting and emotive. So good to be able to get to the movies again.
Lovely clean and comfy cinema and lounge area.staff were very friendly and service great and the cheeseboard and house wine very delicious.we look forward to another visit soon
