Beautiful spot, great food and great people. So relaxing. The owner Jim is a real character and goes out of his way to make your stay enjoyable and memorable. Totally recommend Wilderness Island. We will be back!

If only there was a 6 star option. Wilderness Island is amazing and quite easily the most unique holiday experience Western Australia has to offer. Jim, Kim, Richard and Sonia have nailed every last element of the island and my partner and I couldn’t have been happier. We didn’t quite know what to expect when flying over from Exmouth but once we arrived, we couldn’t have felt more comfortable from the moment Kim picked us up from the air strip until the moment Jim dropped us back.

Wilderness Island doubles as a great location to spend alone time with a loved one or for a group of friends to catch up. In just 3 nights, we fished, swam and even shucked live oysters on the beach with champagne. All meals are included and Armeil, the resident chef, is a super power in her own right. Most meals were caught fresh from the island and included the best Panko crumbed Mangrove Jack we’ve ever tasted.

Looking forward to returning next year with a group of friends to show them this amazing part of the north west.

Had the most amazing time on Wilderness Island. The cabins are very comfortable and the main camp has superb views over the gulf. The food was fantastic and the whole experience was just so relaxing. Thanks Jim, Kim and Armiel for making our holiday one of the very best!

We have looked forward to our time on Wilderness Island and it has surpassed every expectation. Pristine environment, comfortable cabins and hospitality for days. We have swum, snorkelled, fished, walked reefs, explored and laughed. Our sincerest thanks to Jim and Kim, Armiel and Niamh for the incredible food and adventures. This has been the trip of a lifetime and one that will sit long in our memories.

We had a wonderful time here. Wilderness Island is the perfect balance of nature and comfort. You can do as much or as little as you like. We opted for beach-combing, swimming and mostly sitting on our private deck soaking up the serenity and the stunning view. Being lulled to sleep by the waves lapping on the shore, seeing the brilliant moonlight reflected on the waters of the Gulf, gazing at the stars whilst cleaning our teeth.so many special memories. And then there's the food.the BEST lamb cooked on the fire. Thank you Jim, Kim & Amil for a truly relaxing back to nature experience.

More than a fishing destination, Wilderness Island is the perfect place to go and refresh, recentre and reinvigorate. Kick back and relax, go snorkelling or enjoy a picnic on a secluded island, Jim and Kim (and fabulous new addition Amal) will ensure your experience is more than you could ask for. And don’t even get me started about the food Thank you for the experience of a lifetime, we will definitely be back x
