Once again the Web & Brown Neaves and MSWA combo have given us the opportunity to win a magnificent home at a great location. Great fund raiser and inspiration for us to buy heaps of tickets for a chence to win.

Confronted by an unnecessarily angry, violent and aggressive tradesperson near one of their sites. Called their office twice, emailed once to report. No follow up at all to date. Shocking to say the least. Clearly in this regard they have no value in their reputation.

WB Homes provides a 6 years warranty on their plumbing. They will not stand behind their workmanship or product a day over 6 years. I have just discovered a burst pipe in the wall (obviously this is not a plumbing that is serviceable as it is buried within the wall). This is obviously a problem that had developed within the warranty period and gradually got worse. It is 6 years and nine months since my house was completed. Obviously I will need to fix this poor workmanship / plumbing myself. My parent's home was built in 1982 by a private builder, we have not seen a single burst pipe event to date there. We chose WB Homes as they have a good reputation for building quality homes and they use good quality material and trades. I don't think that impression we had was correct. And whilst I understand from time to time you may get a "lemon" but the fact that the service team and even the General Manager choose to not accept "reasonable expectation" and stick to the hard line of 6 years warranty is disappointing, I used to recommend friends to go to WB Homes (and many have built with them on my recommendation) but no longer. Its a shame. Imagine this; you get a home built by someone, as soon as warranty is over pipes started to burst within walls and you will be left standing by yourself to tackle the problem. Not a nice place to be.

UPDATE (20/12/2022)

Today I had a plumber come through to fix the pipe burst issue. He advised that all the water pipe in the house installed by WB Homes were Iplex polybutylene water pipes that is currently subject of possible class action against BGC. When I started talking to WB Home's maintenance department (Home Assist) I was told categorically by them that WB Homes DO NOT USE Iplex polybutylene water pipes. Here is my question, were they lying or worst they have no idea and no control of what materials were being use in the homes that they built.

I will advise WB's General Manager of this and will update this ongoing episode.

UPDATE (31/5/2022)

After my return in March, I arranged for a plumber to trace and excavate the burst pipe. To my surprise, upon inspecting the location of the pipe split, it was evident that the pipe had sustained damage during construction and appeared squashed. I reported this matter to the General Manager (GM) of WB, who then instructed the GM of Home Assist (WB's maintenance arm) to conduct a site inspection. A few days later, I received a call from them informing me that WB would repair the pipe and address all damages resulting from the burst pipe. I am pleased that WB recognized their responsibility to rectify the issue, even though the plumbing warranty had expired. It's important to acknowledge their efforts. Consequently, I have upgraded my rating of WB to 4 stars!

WEBB & BROWN NEAVES DOESN'T CARE ABOUT PUBLIC SAFETY AND PUTS SCHOOL CHILDREN AND THE ELDERLY AT RISK TO MAKE MONEY. This builder doesn't care about any one except its bank balance. After watching two nearby homes being poorly built (with one requiring constant maintenance and parts of one rebuilt multiple times), having put up with unprofessional and bullying behaviour from its employees (including damage to our reticulation by the placement of a noncompliant 2 metre tall advertising sign on our verge without our consent, this company consistently refuses to comply with local council and state government regulations regarding advertising. As a building business, they are not entitled to place any temporary advertising signs, but regularly place signs, designed to draw the eye of passing motorists on both sides of an already rather unsafe pedestrian crossing location on a busy, 60kmph road. Motorists travelling in both directions are distracted by these advertising signs as they approach the (unmarked) pedestrian crossing location. Hundreds of people cross this road every day including many school children, the elderly and people with disabilities.

Despite repeated attempts to have this building company comply with advertising requirements and having been verbally abused and threatened by their employees on several occasions when I have removed the signs in the interests of public safety, I now feel I have little choice but to write this review to warn people about this company. Multiple complaints have been lodged with the local council who I suspect have been paid to look the other way since after more than two years they have yet to enforce their own policy on business signs. Both local council and Main Roads W. A.clearly state that a business may only have ONE sign located on the premises of the business. A 3m tall permanent sign is located at the property boundary. It is important to note that regulations regarding advertising signs for real estate "home opens" do not apply in this case since Webb & Brown Neaves are not a Real Estate Agency and the property from which they are conducting their business is not owned by them, nor is it for sale.

If Webb & Brown Neaves are this unscrupulous about public safety and unprofessional regarding treatment of people living near their building sites and business premises, what kind of build do you think you might get from them? I know of at least one person who built with them recently and who would likely tell you to choose another builder after constant, avoidable issues with their build such as unbelievably shoddy brickwork and the failure to finish roofing correctly resulting in water ingress which damaged finished internal features such as wall plaster and floor coverings.

If you visit a Webb & Brown Neaves display home, take the time to speak to people living nearby to find out their opinion of this builder. We have seen what lies beneath the pretty finishes and witnessed mistakes being made that the homeowner is ultimately stuck living with.

I have plenty of photos and video evidence to back up this review including video of their staff verbally abusing and threatening me and jamming a large metal spike into our verge on top of our reticulation.

After 8 years we are drained and left disappointed with WBN after numerous issues during the build and having to be left to recognise mistakes and point them out during construction with some of them not being able to be rectified.

The lack of Supervision during the build left us to deal with trades for months after it was constructed and having to hear there contractors making derogatory comments about myself and my family left us uncomfortable in our own home.

I could go on for days with all the Items as this just a small summary but the most recent issues involve a Hot Water System that was non compliant so Rheem refused to replace it. When I contacted WBN they refused to believe me and even questioned me to what style of hot water system I had turns out they forgot to update there plans. They eventually agreed to send a plumber out and he took one look and agreed it was non compliant. It was installed in a area that was designed by them to have an enclosed outdoor area for my Bengal Cats which has lead to potential early death of one of them and potential long term carbon monoxide poisoning health issues with the other. They then decided so we could have hot water to put in a Temporary System that would be compliant for the short term.

Atco Gas inspected this temporary system and defected it in 5 areas for non compliance! This then began a long drawn out process of trying to rectify as WBN continually tried to take the easiest way out and give me something that I would have never accepted. We eventually came to a agreement which included getting a Down Pipe installed that was forgotten during the construction of the house.

During the works there was further damage done to the house some accidental but mostly due to no care taken or contractors not knowing how things were put together. Fast forward a year and 27 meetings later after I was told no more would be required. Several other items were damaged, broken, not originally installed correctly, forgotten and other defect work that had to be carried out and I am now left to argue promises that were made to us for compensation and accommodation flat rate fees for me having to constantly take time off work and now getting told that was never said and argue out other damage that was done to my property. I am still waiting for my stacker doors that has fallen out twice to be repaired but due to no stock and transport delays it is yet to be done.

I have held back putting a review up of what has happened but now feel after the way we have been treated I decided to. I have had several meetings with there Executive General Manager and even they told me I would be compensated and now denies it.

Update
Instead of discussing it further and resolving the issues I have also received a letter from their Lawyer claiming they dispute some of my review and if I post anymore reviews they will take me to the Supreme Court. My Review is the Truth so it is not Defamation

I had my house built in 2004. I was a young widow at the time with four children. All I can say is the roof has been like a sieve, I’ve had at least twenty leaks. Now with the recent storm my house has been flooded out for the second time in the seventeen years. The engineering side has completely failed as I’m told by people in the business that they didn’t put in enough soak wells, one in the front which clearly didn’t take the volume of water from yesterday’s storm, the back has no soak well just a few tiny ones which doesn’t help much. There is no major soak well in the back of the property. So between the leaks and the lack of soak wells I don’t look forward to winters. Also the garage roof was sagging Webb and brown did replace that, reluctantly I have to say!

I’m in applecross, anyone want to buy it

UPDATE: 4 years on and our experience with WBN remains unchanged. Over the past 4 years several small issues popped up as you would expect. Gotta say each issue was handled with a customer first approach. So refreshing to know that even after 4 years the team are prompt in their responses and genuinely wanting to assist. Can’t recommend WBN strongly enough. Thanks guys for all the support since we moved in. The house is still amazing.

We took possession of our keys a week or so ago. The home took us over two years to plan and then build, (our decision not the builder holding us up) Now we are at the end of the building process We could not recommend WBN strongly enough. The whole team were professional, courteous and respectful at all times during the build process. Nothing was too much trouble. We never expected to be able to build a home without the odd problem and indeed having a few issues is not the sign of a bad builder in our mind, It’s what they do when we hit those issues. To that end we can confidently say that WBN were second to none. Whilst there were no major problems there were offcourse small mistakes and oversights on our part and the builder. Each of these was handled professionally and respectfully. Thats the sign of a great builder to us. From Simon our sales person through to Stuart the GM the whole team were fantastic. Oh and the home is amazing. Thanks Team WBN

A huge thank you to ZAC MORROW! He has bent over backwards to help us decide on the best house to build within our budget. He has given us design advice, located reports we needed and also talked us through and explained all the building jargon. Very professional and patient! Thank you Zac!

Insightful and helpful professionals. All questions and suggestions I have had throughout the entire process has been answered in a friendly and quickly manner. The people handling my build have been nothing short of amazing. Yes, the upfront cost may seem higher, but the end result is a house that is premium and unique to you in every way. Looking forward to seeing how my house is built and if I ever have to build again, I'll be coming straight back without a second thought. Couldn't recommend more!

It was nice, but nothing edgy or to make it really stand out from other builders in their price bracket. I also noticed a lot of wasted space in the house plans. I like every m2 to be value adding

Been dealing with Zac Morrow right from the initial stages of our planned second home build. We have been through the process once before with DAH, but did not engage them prior to sourcing the block. This time was different, Zac has been with us from the first step of block selection, we approached him numerous times for different blocks on the market and his experienced advice coupled with information on pricing, services locations, easements, block aspect, slope has assisted us lock in the block of our dreams. Now to nail the house.

I own a house next door to the WB display at Burns Beach. Of course, during the build our yard became a bit of a mess, but we worked closely with the building supervisor JAMIE SHARMAN and he promised all would be cleaned up on our side of the fence after the build. I have to say WB has been great. All but one small job has been completed thus far and the last job is being booked, so our home is mostly back to normal. Also a great big thank you to ZAC MORROW, the salesman from the WB display. Zac went out of his way to introduce himself to us and offered his help with any issues. He has stayed in contact and we chat regularly. ZAC would have to be one of the most professional Salesman there is. I have personally seen how he relates to his clients and I'm impressed. I say this and I'm not even a WB customer. I just wanted to say thanks to Jamie, Zac and WB for all that has been done to clean up our place after the completion of their display. It's definitely worth a look. Beautiful inside.

We came to WBN after a really bad experience with another company (they couldn't retain staff, impacts to us were that they couldn't even provide costings for many months on end, then blew the budget discussed 12 months prior by an astronomical amount). Knowing this, WBN took things by the reins and all was looking good in April, getting very close, just needed to make selections & small dwg tweaks. Downhill from here - we couldn't even get them to correctly make a simple change to a bench height or come up with a tap ware solution to THEIR/the agreed original design from January without it being a $1k upgrade PER SET in September! Feet dragging. Couldn't give us a slab date then when we escalated they had the audacity to say "we didn't think you were in a hurry". We had been constantly talking about it! It's their job to manage it.
Just way too much stress so we have walked away - if this is how the admin side goes, imagine how the site side goes. No thanks.

We have had the pleasure of working with W&B for a number of years now, their quality, designs and professionalism is second to none. They are always a pleasure to work alongside and we are so proud of all the projects we have been a part of. We look forward to working with them for many years to come.

Worst building comoany. Have built with them before and quality was descent up to the 10 year mark where roof leakages were constant. Then built with them again, however within the first week of completion, plastering was cracking, lights were flickering, switches got stuck, wiring unfinished, other unfinished installations such as airconditioning have been delayed for almost 2 yeara and they have not contacted us back even til now. Air ducts were not installed correctly. Terrible quality is an understatement for such a reputable building company but that's what happens when companies sell out and just want the most profit.

Thank you to Webb & Brown-Neaves for building me the coolest house on the street. The construction quality was superb and you made the process so simple from start to finish.

So far my experience with these guys (ABN group) has been good. Met with our designer that we might go with and he was going to draw up all our plans. Communication with them has been great and so far impressed with the help and professionalism from the team up to now. I will review if that changes in the future.
