We recently stayed here and can only compliment the place! It was a lovely location just out of town. We had a lovey spa retreat overlooking the lake and it was just beautiful. While there was no wifi or phone reception, this made the stay more enjoyable, as we were able to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. The waterfalls over the road were just lovely to walk to and explore as well. The place was just perfect for this. Thank you so much!

Superb location. The setting is pretty magical. Nice, clean and comfy. The water is sooooo soft to shower in and who needs Internet when you have bird song from daylight to dark TV never went in once. The Margaret River is right there as well which was pretty special. Well worth the stay.

The area is perfect for couples. The outing will help in mending your relationship. It's a cottage with everything inside like kitchen, living room, queen bed, bathroom, internet, etc. The area is located in the bush and hilly place of Margaret River area but nearest to most major known tourist areas. In short it has what I was looking for a vacation.

Great place for family of 6 with elderly parents and children. Easy check in and check out. Very convenient location from tourist location.

We booked in for 5 nights in June 2022, stayed for 3 of those and that was a night too many. Firstly - the owner had CLOSED THE PLACE DOWN for 6 weeks, failed to advise us and had a caretaker in place. We found that out only after we had tried to contact her because the dvd player wouldn't work and spoke to him instead who said he couldn't help with anything electronic/electric. He was just there to answer the phone. So, no dvd watching or listening to cd's. Internet connnection through the supplied tv was non existent so free to air tv only. The place smelled atrocious requiring us to leave the front door open for fresh air, bugs and spiders etc. Three was an odious smell from the fridge. Missing flyscreen on the one window you could open - and oh yeah - that was gaffa taped shut - which didn't stop the bugs, spiders etc. The mattress is in serious need of replacing as it was saggy/sunken. After 3 nights we were barely walking. Same situation with the 2 seater lounge seat. Even after putting 4 pillows on that couch, you still couldn't sit upright. The foam is worn out and needs replacing. The 2 outdoor wrought iron chairs were bare of cushions/ padded seating. You had to sit on the iron rods. We had to request to borrow a broom to sweep the floor as it wasn't provided. Lighting in the bathroom was very, very dim. We told the caretaker we were leaving and why. He told us to email the owner. We told him we left a 2 page list on the table for her. Now - 5 days after leaving, we have not had either a response or an apology from the owner. Would not recommend staying here. Very run down.

Cottage badly needs repair- aircon and fridge were very noisy. Full cooking facilities are provided so it was an added convenience. TV was not able to connect to any channels, wifi was working properly at least. No housekeeping unless you pay extra. Location is a good distance from town, stay here if you don't mind having to drive in and out. There are wild wallabies to see in the nearby area. Overall not the best stay and would opt somewhere else if we return in the future

Stayed here several times over the years/ we were very disappointed as they are getting very tired and need to be cleaned and refurbished. A fridge that does not fit properly under the work surface. Missing a from left leg. Shower drain stinks, bed sheets are meant to be white, but are discoloured. Sofa springs are shot, very uncomfortable. Probably our last visit, shame but to pay that amount of money and stay in a place like that?

Our actual stay here was very nice, beautiful setting amongst the tree's. But, I think matenance is a problem, our main windows was taped all the way round with masking tape also although clean and towels were nice and white we can't say that for the bedding. Looking very grey.

Didn't even get to stay!

Booked online a Studio Cottage, called ahead to ask for a porta cot for our 19 month old and was told that they don't allow children, after reviewing the information on the website about Studio Cottages, it would seem a bit contradictory the information provided.

Studio Cottage (Waterfall Cottages Website)
paragraph 4:
The small cottage is another option for couples who want more space and a wood fire, for twin share accommodation or for small families without toddlers.paragraph 6:
Two luxury spa cottages are also available, with stunning lake views for couples such as honeymooners who wish to indulge themselves. They are also an option for families with one or two young children who don't want two storey accommodation.

The lady I spoke with was insistent that she refund our money and would not even offer us any other options! I've stayed there before and mentioned this to her and her response was 'well that must have been before you had children'!

Image if I had not called ahead and drove all the way to Margaret River from Perth, only to find we were without accommodation! Never again!

Stayed in one of the Studio Cottages. The room was nice, it wasn't huge but I wasn't expecting anything big. Good little kitchen facilities, an oven, a microwave, a little fridge, a sink and reasonable set utensils to go with it. The place was clean but the tiles on the floor are starting to show their age. (Not that that negatively impacted my stay at all.)
I was disappointed that their free wifi was pretty much non-existent. It certainly didn't work in my unit. I wandered around and found it does work when you are near some of the units. As there is almost no mobile access (I have both Telstra and Optus phones) I would recommend specifically asking for a unit that has _working_ wifi. (Alternatively, the owners could simply add another couple of access points to extend wifi to all units.) The lack of wifi would probably stop me from staying there again.

Fantastic 5 nights in the family cottage, enjoyed feeding the birds in the morning and seeing the kangaroos at night, great ammenities with a clean central BBQ and laundry facilities, we will be back in winter to enjoy the fireplace - thanks for the jump start when the car battery went flat

Great value for money, staff are friendly. Rooms are clean and it is very private. Could not see or hear our neighbours, only birds chirping. Lots of animal interaction. Worth my 5 stars

Room is clean with fresh linen etc. But showing signs of needing a refresh and our bathroom drain had a massive hairball just sitting under the grate. The photos on the website didn't truly reflect what you get when you arrive. T. V.tiny, very slow or at times no internet. Some nice features but I feel, I wouldn't rave about or recommend this place. We stayed in a studio room, maybe we would feel different in one of the different rooms. Overall not bad, just average, good enough for somewhere to put your head down at night and head out each day.

Nice grounds, decent accomdation. DO NOT stay in unit 4, ridiculous windows above the bed let the light in so you are wakened at sunrise!

Cottage was very dirty on arrival, ants and millipedes everywhere, had to move all beds away from the walls to try and keep the bugs off the beds. No wifi in the cottage which is advertised as included and no phone coverage with Telstra. Was told to stand outside cottage #5 to use the wifi as that was where the modem was located. Brought all this to owners attention, didn’t care whatsoever, was told their cleaner was too busy to clean everything.in off peak season.in the middle of a global pandemic.seems legit! Wouldn’t stay here again anytime soon.

Stunning gardens and location, views to die for, really private. Bed was lovely and comfy. But could do with a bit of a spruce up, things were a bit worn out, like the rugs for example, we're quite old and dirty. Could provide more towels.
