Villa Da Vinci Restaurant reviews
57 Great food, huge serving sizes.
Edit, 4 years later. Went with group of 18.10 of us ordered steak but all steaks poor. Noone could finish their steak. We spoke to chef but he seemed not to care. Very disappointing. Sometimes cooking process can go awry or quality of product can be low but restaurant needs to own it. We had 10 disappointed customers and restaurant didn't care. Unlikely to return.
I dont know what happened with this restaurant but the quality of the food have gone really bad, we have ordered take away lasagna and scalloping fungi (i have had chicken instead veal), lasagna does not tastes any better than the one from Coles or Woolworths), chicken was way overcooked it was not edible! We used to go in this restaurant quite a bit but like a mention earlier in the review the quality of the food is really bad!
Another beautiful meal and friendly service.
I can honestly say that I have never had a bad experience at Villa's.
Great food, service and atmosphere
Have taken so many people here over the last 20+ years and everyone has loved it ️
What a great restaurant this is! While it is a half hour drive for us to get there from the southern suburbs, it's well worth the effort.
For our second visit last Saturday we took two friends who were also impressed by the beautifully cooked, fresh food - simple but really, really good. And for a very busy night the service was excellent - very friendly and very quick - and it was not noisy (unlike like far too many Perth restaurants). Despite the number of people you could easily converse - hear and be heard.
We look forward to a third visit.
Went there for Dinner on Sunday Evening & were greeted well & taken to our table & very nice young man took our order & the food came in promptly.
There was a young girl who we asked if we could get some Tabasco & she said that they dont have any.
There was an elderly lady whom we asked for the same & she had a smile & brought us the Tabasco in a small bowl.
Felt disappointed & let down by this sort of behaviour & will think twice to go there again. There is no need for me to give any advise, however the owners need to look into this kind of behaviour if the small business need s to thrive &
Really not authentic Italian, go to pasta cup or dominos. The quality you're paying for now a days is just not up to what it used to be.
The fettucine carbonara was like stir fry noodles, and they put spring onions in it too, so it just doesn't taste like an authentic Italian carbonara.
The pizzas tasted very store bought, doesn't have that puffy thin crunch that stone-oven usually gives on pizza, this is average at best.
I'm surprised there was no wine on the menu aswell, for the price you're paying, it would be nice to end with wine.
Service was good. Only thing that's good really.
I have been dining at this restaurant with family and friends for years and over the last 12 months it has been getting worse every time. The service is appalling, the wait time for the meals to come out is approximately 45 mins and never are they served at the same time as everyone else on the table. I can't even say the food was fantastic anymore. Very disappointing.
Very good services; quick food, tasty food & very nice & friendly services. I would recommend this place.
Excellent Venue. Real Italian Restaurant run by Real Italians. Pizzas are huge and tasty. Made for a lasting memory of a great function
Love this place every time we go. The food is always good, the staff are always friendly and the cakes are delicious.
Reserved a table for a family gathering this past weekend. Local but hidden away in a nice location. Menu options were very much to our taste. Staff great, prices realistic. Pizzas! 5 stars.
Have recently had pizza and the seagood pasta in white sauce (not carbonara) both of which were beautiful and I can recommend. Service was very nice and helpful too.
I was at Villa Da Vinci today for a family celebration, at approx 1pm (while the restaurant was fully seated) I noticed one of the staff interacting with one of the elderly patrons which pleasantly shocked and amazed me. Normally when asking if someone would like a drink or anything, a server would usually stand normally, however this staff member knelt down to eye level, most likely so she could be at eye level with the elderly patron and not having her strain her neck or head by looking up.
Shortly after I spoke to the staff member, who turned out to be the owner, said to me that she always lowers herself like that, to eye level (with her mother especially, she said).
As adults, we “look down” on children, standing high above them, but there are times when we lower our body down to their size to have that bit more of connection. I believe that this, small act, is a personality trait which is very rare to be found especially in a restaurant. It may not seem so big of a deal, but someone who can easily adjust to the elderly especially should be thanked and praised.
Pros.good food.
My hubby, toddler and myself went for an early dinner here at 5pm last week (13th Jan) the sign said Open. We were asked where wed like to sit, i told the waitress id like to seat outside but in a shady area, another elderly asian lady came over and actually snapped at us saying we came early and the area wasnt cleaned.
She was very rude and I politely said we would sit somewhere else.
It was only after we ordered about 100$ worth of food that she was more pleasant.
I was not happy being treated this way.
Popped in around 5pm on a Wednesday without a booking for a coffee (not food). 3 people 3 coffees. We were treated second class and put on an unprepared table, had to ask for complimentary water from the waitress who was setting them down on empty tables. Place was empty except for a couple with a toddler. 2 coffees and an iced coffe3 took 25 minutes and the coffees were only just luke warm. Only positive was the managers service when asked to remake the coffees and came back in a reasonable time frame with warm and better tasting coffee. Such a shame for a place that used to be known for its food and service and the pleasant setting overlooking the park and lake.
Great friendly atmosphere, the chicken parmigiana was delicious! Definitely recommend this place for a family dinner or date night.
An absolute gem of Italian cuisine. Friendly staff and great service. They bring everyone's food to the table at the same time. Tried the Penne Arrabiata and 100% recommend. The Italian sausage and their pasta sauce are incredible. Will definitely go back.
It's fantastic. We brought a from them today, I feel like more healthy than others I tryed before.taste completely fresh. I ll try another time soon
Oysters where off and smelt so bad got a crook stomach told the chef they where off and he denied it saying there from the freezer from yesterday
Nice staff and atmosphere is fine but the food is very much quantity over quality. Salt use was over the top. Enjoyed the calamari.
