Victoria Hotel reviews
19We held a function at The Vic on Saturday night for around 50 people and we could not be happier. From start to finish staff went above and beyond to make our night fantastic. From the glittery sprinkles on the tables to the abundance of delicious platters of food – we would highly recommend anyone looking for a function venue to use The Vic.
Stqff very friendly and Bloody good meals here. Steak cooked to perfection and reasonable prices.
Last 3 times we have come for dinner the food has taken hours to come out or been told they can’t serve food at the moment as a local place with great food normally they should try harder to make it available so they don’t constantly loose customers to Macca
Hawaiian chicken burger. One of the best burgers I've had in a while, definitely worth trying! Good size, plenty of flavour, good value meal for its size.
Customer service was fast and done with a smile.
Very nice place to have a family lunch, highly recommend!
Wow! We were so glad we did our homework checking reviews before choosing a dinner venue last night in Collie. We were very warmly welcomed by the staff, the food we had was freshly prepared and perfectly cooked and on the way out were wished a good night by all the bar staff. We will definitely be back there next time we're in town. Having the choice of half or full size servings was a bonus, we both had half sizes and they were more than enough. Thanks for a lovely experience!
A friend took there for lunch recently even though it was busy we didn't wait long for our meals very tasty & filling.
I guess five stars is a bit over the top for a pub lunch, but as it couldn't be faulted that's what they get. So much better than the overpriced pub at the other end of town. We both had the Tuesday $25 Scotch fillet special and a $22 bottle of a perfectly good Cabernet Sauvignon (not a ridiculous $35 like the other end of town!), a nice thick and tasty steak with a very good char and pretty close to the medium rare we asked for, the chips were crisp and plentiful, salad fresh, service quick and friendly from both the Kiwi bar server and the waitperson (so much easier when we were allowed to say barmaid and waitress without causing offence), table nicely set with quality cutlery and napkins, and now our go-to place for lunch - not too difficult a decision given some of the truly awful meals we've had elsewhere in Collie. No complaints about this one, though - typical pub grub, but it ticked all the boxes, and we will very definitely be back. UPDATE - lunch again, reef and beef $28 special, first class, a very good piece of steak (Porterhouse?) perfectly cooked medium rare, plenty of prawns, again perfectly cooked, not under, not over, covered with plenty of a delicious cream sauce - the chef knows his/her way around a kitchen, and there's nothing about the meal I could fault. Fish and chips last week, again faultless. The Vic probably offers the best food in Collie now - certainly the best pub food, and the lunch specials are an absolute bargain. And no, I don't own the Vic, I don't even know who does own the place.
Had a booking for my 40th birthday celebrations, we reserved a table in the upstairs verandah area, and was very happy with the service that was provided and the staff were very accommodating. Meals were also great.
Loved the Read headed barmaid. She made my drink taste yummo. And she was fun to talk too.
Had a Mexican Chicken Parmy. It’s was Excellent and I eat a lot of Parmy’s! It was far superior than the pub at the other end of town. Staff were very friendly and service was excellent. Keep it up and we will be back again.cheers
Shared our new Heritage Tour here with visitors from Perth. Explored the Jarrah stairwell and the heritage interior. Staff and customers where all pleasant. Neat, clean and comfortable areas to dine. Thank you Tracey and Collie Community.
Great place to sit at the bar get around the boys. The black dog was chasing me down the Main Street in Collie and I scurried inside the Vic to shelter from it. After that first sip of ice cold 3.5% SuperDry touched my lips.oh my days.my ex misso can go pay her own child support. If not for Blokes Advice and The Vic, I reckon I’d have driven my Patrol (4.2L) down the long highway years ago.
Love the Vic in collie had a beautiful meal at a great price recommend anyone travelling down south to go in for a meal you won't be disappointed
Enjoyed the pub lunch (steak meal) the pub had to offer. Again, a friendly and welcoming bar with perfect service and attention. I felt that a real effort was made to make us feel at home. Victoria Hotel is a great advertisement for drawing visitors to town. I'm look forward to a winter lunch in the near future. Highly recommended.
Nice people and venue. Bar is small and cosy but there's a pool table and outside seating (smokers area). Fireplace is a nice touch and they have Little Creatures Pipsqueak Cider on tap; delicious! Enjoy a decent meal and a bevy at this fine local pub in Collie.
Nice friendly staff, locals and warm fire. Sadly very little beer and wine choices. Also nothinf local available.
Took about 2.5 hours for a meal which was below average. Very disappointing for I have had nice meals before.
There's no place like Home and it's always warm and welcoming to each individual that walk's in the doors save my corner Beck
Nice pub good atmosphere hasnt changed much at all since we were there there 6-7 years ago.food was really good and reasonably priced
