I agree with earlier reviews - this place is a gem. We should support places like this, as they bring variety and interest to the strip. It's not the typical "cheap and cheerful noodle house" or "bubble tea" place, so please support them. We need this variety, don't we?
The menu is small but perfectly formed. The ambience is modern, restrained and stylish. The service was attentive and friendly. The more senior staff clearly set a good standard, because the youngsters were spot on too.

On the day we were there, ordering was "self serve" at the counter. I am not sure if this their usual, or was due to shortage of staff. Personally i think this is a great idea - it frees up the staff to do more important things, rather than waiting at your table while you think about what you are choosing. It also means they can cope with the difficulty in recruiting staff right now, as they can cope with a full house even with lower numbers of staff. And it must keep costs down, which helps them keep their prices in check, and make a profit. And we do want this place to succeed.

Both dishes we had were lovely - spaghetti with crab and prawns, and swordfish. A few more prawns might have been nice, but it was still delicious, freshly cooked, and perfect consistency. The food is not cheap, but in my opinion you get what you pay for.

The wine selection is small but good - I was impressed that they carry a few unusual wines. Notably a yummy "Pecorino" which is an unusual variety from central Italy, which i discovered on holiday there not long ago. It's not what you expect from Aussie whites - it's quite fruity and fragrant, yet still carries enough dryness and acidity. Worth a try IMO.

Why not give this place a go?

Visiting from Melbourne… would happily get my daily coffee from here - it was great coffee!

Food & service was just about on par with the coffee.

The only let down was having to switch tables 3 times - they had both front & back doors wide open - allowing a cold breeze right through the line of seats/tables where we were sitting.

Would happily return.

My family of 3 dined in for dinner tonight, this is by far the best Italian on the strip!
Absolutely delicious food and great cosy ambiance.

If the lady who served me actually had 1/2 a smile on her face and greeted me in some sort of friendly manner, i would of given this business a 5 out of 5. The roll i ordered was delicious! Very nice food.

The food here is absolutely astonishing. This business deserves more attention than what it gets now. Larder is an amazing Cafe and I highly recommend that you visit.

Went for lunch and had the truffle mushrooms with polenta and the osso bucco. Both were excellent. Coffee and service were also great. Very unassuming deli with tasty dishes.

Firstly I'm kinda writing this review as an apology!
I went to the Larder today for the first time. I was sat chatting to someone and kinda lost track of time so we kept your tables occupied after your closing hours.
I am so sorry!
But your coffee was amazing and the melt was super filling! Amazing little spot and I think I'll come back again for a visit. But this time adhering to the open times
Also, shout out to the unnamed blonde lady who served me and offered to be my wing woman! You're amazing!

I simply love the Vic Park Larder ️
Doesn’t matter if I’m chasing a cooked breakfast, coffee n sweets or a continental roll.this is becoming my go to place. Friendly staff. Loads to choose from & a great selection of continental foods to take home. Really love the vibe

If I have one slight negative.can be a little noisy.
Definitely give it a go if you’re in the area.

Coffee beans were super burnt I asked nicely for another one and the owner was really rude and told me the beans weren't burnt and then gave me a really weak milky coffee even though I'd paid for an extra shot, first time there definitely won't go back

Great little place, so different with a breath of fresh air. The coffee is so good, proper full bodied, full flavor. Not this flavored milk stuff that other places are now giving out. Gino's food options are fantastic too, not matter what you feel like I would say you;d find something that would tickle your fancy.
