Vetwest Animal Hospitals Ballajura

The staff at VetWest Ballajura have always treated us and our animals with kindness, understand and respect. This was particularly true when our elderly cat fell ill and ultimate passed away - Dr Theo and the Nurses/Technicians were gentle with him and us at a very difficult time. I am truly thankful we were in their care.

We will continue with them for our younger cat, since its clear they are a group of passionate and committed individuals, who do their absolute best for their patients and pet guardians.

The vets and vet nurses are just wonderful, apart from being knowledgeable, understanding and patient, they are extremely helpful and personable! Nothing is too much trouble and they always make sure we have what we need. Jo especially is a superhero!

Always a pleasant experience. The team are very friendly and helpful. They always follow up with a phone call a few days later to check if my dog has improved etc.

Every visit to Vet West has always been extremely positive. With this particular visit, the vet assuaged my fears as she checked my dog's paw and the lump on his leg. He's a happy and healthy boy thanks to the brilliant team of Vet West. They even take his hyperactivity in their stride. Thanks guys!

The team at Vetwest Ballajura were so supportive and helpful with helping us say goodbye to Agnes. Dr Antonia was so compassionate and understanding. All of my dealings with Vetwest for many years have been positive.

Vetwest Ballajura has been our fur-baby Tiger’s vet since we rescued her from RSPCA 9 years ago.
The team at Vetwest Ballajura has always been amazing and professional to the extent that our fur-baby had a personal bond with each and everyone of them.

Recently, with a heavy heart, we had to put our fur-baby of 15years to rest due to old age and medical complications.

During the last one in the half years, Dr Antonia and the vet team were absolutely amazing treating and caring for our fur-baby.
They were so compassionate, supportive, caring and loving even after her passing.
We will always fondly remember the professionalism, care, kindness, empathy and support provided to us by the vet team.

A sincere thank you to Dr Antonia, Dr Zoe, Dr Jo, Dr Georgina, Dr Courtney, Dr Elena and vet nurses Brooke, Emma, Kylie, Melissa, Tanja, Bessie, Alison, Shaye, Mikaela, Fernanda, Lindsey (and everyone, too many to mention) who always treated and welcomed our fur-baby with big hugs and cuddles.

To all of you, always remember you are making a big difference in pets and peoples lives and your work is greatly appreciated.

Place would be ok but staff are rude.
Would be a zero star but I will give them one star for free.

I was 5 minutes late due to the fact I had to stop along the way to try and calm my very stressed cat. The way we were greeted by the nurse was you are 5 minutes late and I'm not sure the vet can see you. She then went on to say due to the fact that only 15 minutes are allocated for appointments I will be responsible for causing delays by being 5 minutes late. Given the fact that many people are at the vet due to their animals being sick or injured there was no compassion or understanding and it felt mechanical. The vet was great but very rushed and I wonder how they feel about having to push through so many patients. Very disappointed

No wonder the services are all about dog care and not about kittens. Wish I had read their reviews however am myself an inexperience animal owner, my first kitten, hence you take them to a vet when you’re worried. My kitten has racked up hundreds of dollars in vet bills since we brought him here at 8 weeks old for an ‘ear infection’. Due to the lack of communication and information they gave us on the medication they supplied our kitten’s skin bunched up and completely fell off on his head and stomach leaving him bold, uncomfortable and sore. 5 weeks later he is finally recovering. Would not recommend this vet.

The team at vetwest ballajura are absolutely amazing! From their knowledgeable and caring vets, to their compassionate, skilled nurses. They have been wonderful with my 16 year old dog who has multiple health issues. I can't thank them enough for their care and compassion to my girl and myself.

Always a great experience when we go in. Been with them for about 7 years all up and every vet at multiple locations have always been super friendly and helpful

I used this clinic for an emergency as my usual vet wasn't available.
My poor kitty was attacked by another cat. The efficiency, kindness and help was fantastic. The set up of the waiting area is excellent too. Separate Cats from dogs. Highly recommended

Our Miss 9 1/2yr old Dalmatian is not very well. She is not eating at all and is really not herself.
She is very anxious when Vet time comes.
The staff are currently investigating what her actual diagnosis is. They are very helpful and kind. Nothing is too hard for them.
They are very compassionate as tho your pet is theirs.

The purpose of a Veterinary Clinic is to help heal our beloved fur babies! This Vetwest Ballajura Animal Hospital is nothing but a greedy money-making machine who employ extremely rude reception staff that go against the advice just given by the Vet? How is this allowed? Why do we bother paying for a consult with the Vet? I will be taking my four fur babies to a more reliable and reputable Veterinary Clinic. Be aware people about the actual care given to your pets.

Would not recommend this place to anyone.had to say goodbye to my beautiful childhood dog of 11 years yesterday and my experience at this place made it 1000000 times worse.my dog had a large tumour growing from his hip and he could barely walk to begin with.since we were still in lockdown (even though my appointment was at 4: 30 pm and lockdown ended at 6 pm), only 1 member of family could be there in the room.we came to our appointment on time and i went inside to wait in the dog waiting area and my boy was so scared because he knew something was wrong.he couldn't even move and he was laying on the ground in fear.one of the workers told us immediately to get out and wait outside, just to let us back in 2 minutes later.there were no other dogs/people that were in the waiting area/came out the door during this time.i understand it's to be covid safe but this is compassionate grounds, of all people vets should understand that dogs are like family.and i still had my mask on.i got in to the room and they made me wait again for so long.when she finally came, she made me sign the form, then wait again just to come back with the credit card machine while i was holding my dog in my arms during his last moments.it's just common courtesy that you pay for procedures AFTER your appointment.i didnt even have my phone or credit card on me at the time and i had to tell her to go outside so my family who was waiting in the car could pay.it was just very rude and insensitive.the vet who put my dog down was also unprofessional; you're supposed to put them to SLEEP first then euthanise them.my friend got her dog put down at the exact same place and this is how they put her dog down, why is the procedure inconsistent? It was so traumatic to see my dog die so suddenly like that and not slowly go to sleep.my friend also got to keep her dog's pawprint but they did not offer this to me.the whole thing felt so rushed and just an overall disturbing experience.by far the worst thing i've ever been through in my life.this place don't know what they're doing and their staff are incompetent and not understanding at all.they also told us that they could carry my dog outside but then asked my dad to help carry him even though he didn't want to see him dead in the first place.don't go here if you really love your pet.

Honestly such insensitive rude disrespectful experience. Was personally going through a big loss in my life and they decided to shove the EFTPOS machine while I was saying my goodbyes. I am disgusted, disappointed and ashamed to have brought my beloved pet in. Would not recommend unless you prefer an unprofessional selfish service.

Can not recommend this practice in anyway shape of form. Do some research and look for another vet.

Professional and very personable service! I felt my cat was in the best hands possible.it was very comforting to know especially when you're worried about your furbaby. I love the fact that there's 24hr service available. Reassuring to know such amazing care is available at all hours. Highly recommended!

I had to make the hard decision a few weeks ago. The staff were wonderful. I walked away heartbroken but confident that the right decision was made.
They have always been caring and sympathetic with every visit.
