Vebas Aquariums reviews
57Store was well stocked and plenty of selection unfortunately was too busy to ask for help on somethings
Has everything fish and aquarium needs. Never seen so many fish etc. Staff are very friendly and helpful. I live in the foothills but that won't stop me travelling to Vebas Aquariums. Great place.
Lots of fish and supplies, you can't go wrong. From gold fish to sea fish, they have all the fish. Did you say tanks? Yes, they have lots of tanks.
Lovely selection of fish, seemed quite healthy too. Aaron and Rhys were knowledgeable and easy to get advice from.
Knowledgeable staff, good range of fish varieties and products, will order in asap any rare speciality items. Watch out for selling fish, especially with the manager, you will be ripped off. Should always be a third cash back value of what thier going to sell it for, always look around the shop first!
Great range of fish with helpful staff who have an excellent knowledge of fish, tanks, and setup
Massive Range of Equipment, Plants and Fish. Staff are super helpful and the store is extremely clean and well organised. There's plenty of room so you can browse without getting in people's way. Some interesting fish and display tanks
What a beautiful store. The staff are incredibly friendly & can handle loads of questions confidently. I was served by Cooper today & he was patient and knowledgeable.
Good service, help is always on hand, shop has everything you need and more. Won't disappoint.
Love this place for all ya fish and aquarium supplies. Great staff willing to help and give advice
The staff at Vebas helped me with absolutely everything to set up and maintain a successful aquarium. Staff are friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Any little problem or query I have had they have given me the right advice to fix it. It is very relaxing and enjoyable watching my beautiful fish.
Great store for almost everything you need for your aquarium. Usually really very hot in there but understandable given the amount of tanks running. Favourite thing about this store is the variety of saltwater fish, freshwater fish and corals available for purchase. A wide variety of tanks on display for sale as well.
Nice place to spend a few minutes and get introduced to an aquarium shop in Perth. Lots of many options
Pretty large and getting bigger. A decent selection of Saltwater coral and fish. Decent selection of cichlids and a few smaller fish. But plants are the big winners here. Would really like to see more variety in smaller hardy fish. Rice fish. Gourami. Etc.
Great range of aquarium products/supplies. Helpful team when it comes to finding products they sell. Large range of saltwater and freshwater fish.
Would not recommend buying coral from here until they get their aiptasia under control, you are almost guaranteed to find this pest in your tank after you buy from here!
(Staff should definitely advise new reef keepers about the aiptasia before they purchase coral).
Unprofessional team, low knowledge base as well as rude, DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED
An amazing aquatic store, vast in size, selection and quality of dry goods, fish and aquariums. Display tanks are real showcases and of extremely high quality. I picked up a superb display piece of spiderwood and some large show size fish. A+
The best professionals in the field, from ponds, aquriums freshwater to saltwater and all that can make aquatic animals and plants a viable past time, in your garden or home.
Great range of fish to chose from and great service too…. Special thanks to Ray who served us. He had so much knowledge about the fish and was very patient through all our questions and confusions and answered all our queries efficiently.
I have a reef tank and after getting a hand full of fish, I thought I'd ask for some recommendations from the staff in what kind of other marine life would be a good fit with what I already had. I was recommended a Banded Coral Shrimp, which I got.
Well, that shrimp caused me great problems. It attacked my other fish and damaged my coral. My fish started to get sick and my tank started to have some problems. I even got two new fish afterwards (at separate times), which the shrimp ate. Overall, this shrimp caused hundreds of dollars of damage to my tank, and I decided I had enough.
I asked Vebas to take the shrimp back, and asked for another fish in exchange. What I wanted was for the shrimp to be exchanged for a fish I bought previously, that the shrimp ate. Vebas wasn't happy with this deal, in fact, wanted to give me nothing for it, but hey, they were happy to take it from my hands.
That's not even the only issue I've had with Vebas.
For a fish shop, they clearly have no idea how to take care of fish. The tanks there are filled with aiptasia, so when you go to buy coral, you are guaranteed this anemone pest will invade your own. Whether they're present on the coral you buy or not, their spores are everywhere.
I've also had issues with other pests from this shop like bubble algae and snails.
They've also sold me sick fish before, that infected the other healthy fish in the tank.
Staff also don't seem to know what fish they have in stock and what they don't. I asked for one specific fish, which I was told they didn't have, only to be approached later saying that, actually, they did have it.
The one good thing Vebas does, is be the only fish place that sells reef fish South of the river, which is the only reason I continue to go there.
