Urban Revolution

I absolutely love Urban Revolution. Jo and her team are fantastic.

When I first came in a few years ago, I didn't know anything about permaculture or even aware of all the wonderful eco-friendly products available. Now that I'm all stocked up, I usually just get seeds for my garden and Bokashi mix for the compost bin.

They also have a small recycling hub out front. Terracycle bins can be expensive so I love that Urban Rev gives people a chance to recycle a few things (e.g. Contact lens packaging) that can't go in the yellow bin for free.

They also hold talks (e.g. How to compost and worm farming) and carry the Pip Magazine in-store. Love having them in our community.

Great range of seeds. Helpful young man shared his knowledge with me and he gave me some free sweet potato slips.

I attended Urban Revolution's Composting Workshop last Saturday arvo, and was impressed with just about everything about the presenters Jo and Bec and their shop!:) An ex oil and gas engineer, the main presenter Jo delivers the workshop/demo with a clear passion for sustainability, wealth of information and science based facts, plus you get a comprehensive 30 page book to refer to! As the workshop is kept quite intimate in size, there is time to ask questions of the super friendly presenters, and you may even learn something new off your fellow workshop attendees! And not only that, you also get to feast on an amazing variety of afternoon tea nibbles and 2 types of ice tea to die for - courtesy Bec! Then you can walk out and explore the shop full of locally made eco-friendly products. I left the shop with a gorgeous scented 'Lovespell' natural soap and a sample of shampoo/conditioner bar that I have been wanting to try - and that was only from a quickish look! I now feel empowered to take the composting further by thinking of 'waste' as inputs into a compost system that not only sequesters carbon into the soil but also creates better soils for food and natural beauty:) Thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us and keep up the amazing work guys to make this planet a better place for everyone! And everyone else - definitely worth to add a visit to Urban Revolution to your 2022 list:) I will be back!

I have really loved the products I have purchased from Urban Revolution, including a compost bin and watering can. Other items also including door stop, nail brush and toothbrush holder. The customer service is excellent. Many thanks, I will be purchasing more. Thanks to the team.

Really fantastic store. I've been a handful of times over the years and have been impressed on each occasion with just how comprehensive their range is. They have all sorts of things that I've had trouble finding and I always see something new that helps me to reduce our waste. On my most recent visit I was impressed even further as Jo spent lots of time with me working out how to make the best use of the Greensmart pots I was buying. Their range is amazing, but it is their knowledge and willingness to help that is the most impressive. They are well worth the visit!

Good range of eco-products for the home and garden. I recently bought soap nuts there, but have been using them for ages. I think they're fabulous. Ever since I got a free sample pack I've been hooked on using them! Don't think I have bought washing powder in at least 3 years. Still got half an old box to use up, that I only use if my washing is very visibly dirty. And I have a dog with allergies and wash his bedding with them every week and been successful with that - no more scratching! The nuts don't get rid of the dog hair though.
The store is quite small and I'm in a wheelchair so it's hard to see everything. But I browse their website before going and make a list of what I need, then get the staff to get the items!

Great store doing some important work. The owner is fantastic, stayed open late on Saturday just to chat permaculture with me and my mum. Very knowledgeable on the products she stocks, and where they come from.

This shop is just AMAZING! I have been waiting for a store like this to open and my hopes came true! I like the friendly staff and i like the products they sell. Very Sustainable:)

I don’t get to visit often enough and just browse the wonderful array of products they have, and sometimes online just isn’t the same.
Great range of seeds and gardening products that are at a wonderful quality hard to find anywhere else. Good variety of homewares and all sorts of things you have possibly not imagined you were looking for.
Have always had a wonderful customer experience in store.

A gem if you're into anything to do with conservation or eco-living. Just wish it was a bigger shop with even more products. My go to for my fully compostable bin bags. Very grateful to live near it:)

I love this place! It offers a fantastic system to recycle things that can't be thrown in general recycling, such as shampoo and toothpaste products. All staff members are so knowledgeable and friendly. I went to their composting seminar recently, and I learnt so much. It's not a cheap store, but they have some fantastic products that are worth the investment.

Wonderful renovation just completed this week! Now stocking bulk laundry powder, moisturiser and eye cream.yay! Lovely staff and so many great things. Love this store!

I really enjoy visiting this shop. Jo is a treat to talk to and very helpful. The range of locally made products is impressive. Helps you believe that you can make a difference in your own home even if it is a small rental.

This place has heaps of cool stuff. Just bought some pet waste compost but it also had lot more eco friendly stuff!
