Distasteful mean nasty ppl esp the manager. Depending on ones class/affluence i would presume?
Approx 6-7 months ago I went in and asked what he'd charge me for a tune-up on camry station-wagon 1999. Reply was between $1500-$2000 not including spark plugs or timing. He'd charge me alright just like a wounded bull!
The really ugly thing was the way his employees along with his nasty mechanics surrounded me in case I was offended by being ripped-off and told the manager/owner to get stuffed.
Went to another place and got it done for $89.00!
Over the years i've spent thousands of dollars preferencing this garage because it was an independent local.
Obviously my loyalty was not appreciated.

Traveled from far Nth Qld car due for 60k service Joel and his team couldn't do enough to get me in for this service. Even tho his team are extremely under the pump Joel got me in no problems. Huge shout out to Shan who worked on the car going well and truly above and beyond to going over the hole car to attend to any minor or major issues it may of had True credit to Joel and his team.
Good old Aussie fashioned service that you just don't seem to find anymore.

I was amazed to see driveway service in action, very pleasing to see especially for the elderly gentleman ahead of me.

I also had an issue with a charger stuck in my rental car's cigarette lighter, and a mechanic happily offered to have a look and even got it out with his special pliers. I am chuffed with their can-do attitude even though they loooked pretty busy in the workshop.

Hats off to all you guys!

The chain broke on my bike while I was riding past. I was looking at a very long walk, but the mechanic offered to repair the chain after I was unsuccessful and succeeded. Excellent service and cooperation which was well above expectation.

A Tale of Two Cities

An uncle, who is over 70 years old, rented a car from Alpha Car Hire. A tyre suffered a puncture. He was due to fly out of Perth in a couple of hours.

When we called the Alpha Car Hire help line on his behalf, the lady asked us to call the number in the purple Alpha Car Hire brochure. When we looked into the brochure, there were three numbers to call, RAC Queensland, RAC Victoria, and the Alpha Car Hire help line.

When we called the Alpha Car Hire help line again to tell her there is no WA number, the lady made us wait ten minutes, then disconnected the call.

When we called a third time, she finally told us to call the RAC Australia number. There is no RAC Australia!

We finally changed the tire and drove it to the nearest United service station at Servetus Street, Swanbourne. The manager of the workshop, in spite of a garage load full of cars, dropped everything to help us repair and replace the tyre quickly so that Uncle could get himself pack-up and checked-out to head to the airport.

You can name the two cities yourself and have one guess on which business is doing the right thing.

One of the few places which will offer driveway service, if you need it.

My Tyre popped when I was driving just up the road, and I pulled in here and they put on my spare Tyre for free for me. I’m seriously so grateful thank you so much, you saved me hours of waiting for a call out. There truly are nice people out there, thank you for helping a stranger with no idea on anything car related

Been to hundreds of mechanics in my life. Those that wash and hoover your car before handing it back are a rarity, so I was VERY pleasantly surprised. The service was good and work well done. Highly recommended.

They fixed my rear tail-lights in no time. 10/10. Previous service 10/10. Very happy. Will be using them again for car servicing and fuel needs.
