Ugly Duckling Wines

The location isn't the best in the valley as it sits right on a busy road. I was part of a wine tour so the wines brought out weren't very good. We had the summer duck, bubble duck and red duck which were all way to sweet.

The platter was quite nice and the live acoustic guitarist singing was a nice touch.

Friendly staff. Nice live music, perfect for a hot lazy Sunday afternoon. Good cheese platter, loved the olives. And the foie gras. And the rest. Close to the road but the noise didn't bother us at all.

Very casual place for a drink and meal. Markets are held here occasionally also. Ugly Duckling is a rather small vineyard offering locally made wines. The outdoor seating is very relaxed and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and although we didn’t eat anything, from what we saw the meal sizes were very generous and platters to share seemed very popular. They also offer a range of gourmet pies which we will definitely try next visit! Very popular place along West Swan Road with both locals and tourists.

Cute place but very misleading sign that states "free wine tastings" whwn you go in they are too busy or you have to book which defeats the purpose of the new hop on and off bus service

One of the highlights of The Valley and one of the few places that will open on a public holiday. We appreciate you are paying penalty rates and still open so we have somewhere to go on our days off. Other local venues take not, it's not 100% about your profit margin on just that one day!

Great place to stop for a bite to eat and a glass of wine. Beautiful spot in the Swan Valley. Nice covered out door area, with live music on the weekends. Delicious menu and a wide range of wines to match all the menu items. Popular spot to stop any time of the year.

Great for a relaxed Sunday afternoon with live music. Food and wine were delicious and nicely presented, was glad to find the kitchen open until 16.30 as opposed to some other SV wineries on a Sunday.

Nice cafe style winery with friendly staff. The food platters are OK, just a couple of choices, and pies on a Sunday. I'd wished for more selection of food to be more versatile. Wines are good, try the chenin blanc indeed. Great two piece band playing slow jam sessions which match the vibe and scenery. Lots of doggies, nice staff. You can also picnic there ordering their food and wines. Folks from all backgrounds. Very relaxing ambiance.

Nice ambience, sat and watched the world go by. Small and not as commercialised as the larger vineyards. Shiraz very nice, live music, didn’t have food.

Like others have said, food is brilliant, wine is amazing, staff are happy and helpful. Great in winter too

Best unblocked view of the vineyards into the valley. Quaint and charming, not a splashy sleek winery. Dog-friendly. Only cheese and wine tasting; platters would likely fill 2 girls up though. I was surprised by how good the wines tasted for what looked like a small winery. Nice staff even when busy and overworked.

Went there today with my dog and three month old daughter. The staff were incredible did everything to assist us with our child and other patrons. Even warning us of incoming rain and moving us. Amazing warm beautiful people made my day so special so thanks:)

Great food and wine, friendly staff, a great spot for lunch, could of stayed longer, was no problem catering for my dietary needs.will come again on my next visit to OZ.
