Typika reviews
57 I never expected to see the fusion with the Asian and Western in the food here, but you know what? The food is pretty spot on. That dang dang beef bowl might even trump over warung food back in my hometown in Jakarta. By memory I had the char siu pork belly buns here also and it was more than alright.
The coffee was still a bit too milky for me though, but I just like my coffee strongggg. The service was also a bit typical. Was a bit hard to flag anybody down that I had to actively find them myself. Still, it's not a bad spot to get your morning coffee and read WA's favourite tabloid, the West.
Stunning cafe in claremont
Really enjoyed the food and the coffee was great
Will be back soon
Was invited to try some of the new summer menu today that will be available in the near future. Lovely food always.
This has to be one of my favourite places to go for brunch. Top notch coffee and the food is always delicious. The French Toast and Dang Dang Beef stand outs!
Used to be great. Unfortunately gone way downhill. See pic - Angry Bird sauce black and bitter. None of us enjoyed our meals.
Service was good, atmosphere was good, food was great! Nice little spot here in Claremont. If I remember correctly I came here a few years ago also for a coffee and I still remember the coffee being amazing too! Great establishment guys, will def be back with the rest of the family
Typika is a lovely cafe. The floor plan is open and airy making it an inviting space to spend some time. The Dang Dang beef was soooo delicious. This dish was beautifully presented, and full of flavors of chili, basil and coriander. The croquette was indeed crispy as promised. I highly recommend popping in for a meal. There are a lot of options on the menu! I'm definitely going to stop in every time I am in the area.
Great brunch spot! We split the eggs benny with chipolatas and it was plenty for two people. Great atmosphere and loved the art on the walls. Only negative is that we received our meal before our coffee
We have been coming here a lot. Always good food. Service can be a hit or a miss depending on how busy they are.
The beef rib is amazing, very soft and tender! The environment is clean and tidy, there are many places, suitable for eating with friends and family!
Consistently good food and fast service having eaten here over a number of years. Agreed the prices have risen, however it's more an industry reflection, and looking at the owner's responses here we will continue to come.
Everything was just ‘okay’ but the prices made the experience painful. $24 for a ‘deconstructed san choy bao’ which is just half an iceberg lettuce and a tiny bowl of chicken filling would make my ancestors turn in their grave. Same goes for the hot chocolate which was $7.
Yesterdays experience was a little disappointing. Coffee was luke warm, 2 of the breakfast dishes arrived cold.
Really reliable cafe. Easily accessible from Stirling Highway, with parking outside the front. However, depending on the day that you visit, you might need to do a few rounds to find one!
Their coffee is fantastic. As the menu is well thought of, there are lots of options to choose from! They are also extremely accommodating for food allergies. Lastly, their presentation of food is great, but the taste is even better!
Great place for breaky. Food isn't overly expensive and is really tasty. The fusion aspect of the breakfast menu is quite awesome as there aren't many places in perth that do it. Would recommend
Coffee is always good. GF banana bread/cake is nice. Wait staff are.very friendly. Just stop in if in Claremont.
The food here was underwhelming. The angry bird wasn’t appetising as the waffle was stuffed with too much corn and the chicken didn’t taste fresh and wasn’t flavourful. The dang dang beef was packed full of chilli rather than being seasoned and the pulled pork quesadilla was just rather plain however the chips were great and the aioli that came with them paired quite nicely however we wanted sweet potato chips and they apparently ‘can’t’ do a whole serving of them instead they mix them in with plain chips and there were only about 6 sweet potato chips in there which was rather disappointing. Overall the food was disappointing and the atmosphere wasn’t that great either, wouldn’t return unfortunately.
A great cafe! Always a delicious experience. The only downside was the salsa on my dish wasn't good (a wee bit too old) but I was able to scrape it off. In many years of going there that was the only time a dish wasn't 100% so its not a negative as they are bang on with consistent quality and taste. Definitely recommend!
Good friendly atmosphere. Fast courteous service. Professional staff. Tasty food and beverages. While the chairs are a bit uncomfortable, the tables are ridiculously small. There were three of us and there was no space left on the table. But otherwise, a pleasant experience.
The coffee, food and service here has always been on point. Depending on when you visit, be prepared to wait and it will be worth it.
