Turkuaz Mediterranean Restaurant Hillarys

What a disgusting experience we were faced with.

We were a party of 8, and we got seated on our table, and as soon as we sat down, my 3 year old stood at the window looking over the water. Then the lady owner came over and screamed at me, telling me “your child has to sit down, right now. ”

It was totally unnecessary. We had been there for less than a minute, my child wasn’t running around, he wasn’t being unruly, and to demand a child standing at the window (it wasn’t a safety issue) to sit down immediately was an absolute joke.

This was obviously a sign of what the night was going to be like. So we packed our things and left. It was totally unnecessary to be spoken to like that. And it was unnecessary to demand a child to sit down who isn’t a safety issue, or a disruption to other people.

We visit hillaries every Saturday. Sometimes as groups of 20-30 plus, and every week people ask to eat at your restaurant, and every week I tell them how disgusting your service is, and we eat somewhere else.

The service at this restaurant left much to be desired. The middle-aged lady at the front counter consistently displayed unprofessional behavior, being consistently grumpy, unprofessional and overly talkative. It was evident that there was a lack of respect for customers. While the food was of decent quality, it failed to stand out in any significant way, especially when considering the steep prices charged. Overall, the experience fell short of expectations, primarily due to the subpar service and the high cost relative to the food quality. I do not recommend this restaurant.

This place has amazing views. The food is very good and probably authentic turkish. I had one beer and couldn't eat so had a small entrees and one dessert the kunafe and costed me $52. Iv been to a lebanese and turkish ALL you can eat buffets for less then $40. Not worth the drive or cost.

We had a great lunch with turkish mixed grill, pides and turkish tea.

The flavours were really good and the waitress was friendly and very accommodating. The decor had a nice ambiance with Turkish touches.

My wife is from Türkiye and said this is her favourite Turkish restaurant in Perth, so despite living South of the River, we will gladly be back again.

I went there a few times and everytime they ask for if im happy with price of bottle of drink, i dont really get it, its already in menu and we order it and still asking if im happy with price rudely!

I am absolutely surprised with the quality and taste of this restaurant, one of the best dinners I have had in my whole time in Perth… All I have to say is just Go and try. I will be back soon. Also the staff member who served us was great, explaining all the menu and really attentive. Congratulations guys

Nice and good food with great Raki drink, nice staff and welcoming atmosphere and great design. One of the bests.

Over priced and a very average tasting cuisine.the kunafe had a weird taste and the serving size was pretty small

I went to this place three times, every time, some staff are grumpy, especially the lady on the counter, the last time we went, when the counter lady on her way to show us a table, she asked us if we want a dinner, we said no, we just want deserts, her smile was replaced with dry face and she left us in the middle of no where, very rude, me and my friends decided to not go to that place ever again.
Kunafah were very old and smelly, we couldn't eat, I couldn't put less than a star, otherwise I would have.

This restaurant use to be my favorite but not from now in 22/4/23 because of the bad service i rescived from a middle age lady idk her name but she's not wearing scarf she treat us really bad we was trying to find available place to sit but she was really rude and didn't offer her self to look for us really well. The other workers were really nice and they have very good customer service. I wish this lady next time learn how treat customers good and act her age coz she seems old enough to have some respect

Good meal, great flavours. Value. A little high for the meal size / presentation. We did really enjoy the meals.

Had a fantastic lunch here with my wife and daughter. All dishes were delicious and generously sized. If you like your meat with a delicious chargrilled smokey flavour, this is the place to go. I had a dish which had a selection of their different meats (I think it was called a "Turkhauz Special"?) and left incredibly satisfied. Also had a mint lemonade drink that was very refreshing. This restaurant is now probably my favourite on the Hillary's Boardwalk.

We have visited a vast number of restaurants in Perth but I can assure you that this restaurant serves the best meat! It has been a while since I personally have had grilled skewers this good, and the last time I have, it was abroad. The dips and naan were delicious as well and are must try. Turkuaz restaurant provides you a full experience from hospitality to ambience. It is especially beautiful an night due to lighting and entertainment that the restaurant has in store for you, it is all simply a beautiful cultural experience. Additionally, I cannot not mention Paula, who is manager and simply a true gem! She will make you feel like you have known each other your whole life and you will always feel like you are welcome there. I would recommend this restaurant a 100% to anyone who haven’t tried it yet and those who have are probably eating there again tonight ;)

Amazing night out to celebrate my wife birthday. The food was very traditional and very tasty. Great service and atmosphere, this place is a must.

Hands down to the best kebabs in the town. This beautiful restaurant keeps surprising me on every visit. Food, service and location are spot on. Truly an authentic experience of Mediterranean cuisine. I highly recommended Kunafe which is a warm Turkish desert serving with scope of ice cream. The food is being cooked and served with love and that’s the secret behind any successful business. I hope more people get a chance to experience this joy in Perth.
