19What an incompetent insurance company. ABSOLUTE SCAMMERS! Strongly urge anyone to reconsider using Coastal Insurance for any insurance. Compare your quotes and see for yourself, unless you have money to burn. Staff are incompetent and lack of checking their invoices. Coastal Insurance is very pleased to take as much money as possible but never accountable for any mistakes. What a disgrace! Any positive reviews for Coastal Insurance are questionable. DON’T BE FOOLED!
Not a client but Coast insurance provides a full suite of insurance services to suit any sea craft. I was treated with utmost courtesy by the staff and I have no doubt they are best in what they do

Disgusted in their attitude towards Queensland Houseboat/Cruiser owners.
They did not enter into any discussions with owner on his merits as the owner of vessel. Seems they only want to insure vessels that will make them money but no regard for the owner and sleepless nights.
Money making is all they care about.
I quote, insuring houseboats is not financially sound for them.

Found the people very helpful, pleasant, and a pleasure to do business with. Insured my boat and the price was by far the best price available. Rated them 5 stars clearly. When I sold my boat and cancelled the policy it was handled the same way. 5*

After calling to inquire about boat insurance, the man we spoke to displayed a poor attitude and suboptimal customer service throughout the whole phone call.
If they don't treat their customers with respect during initial contact, there is little chance they will treat them with honesty and respect when you try to claim insurance.
We will be looking elsewhere for insurance.
Great to deal with when I needed to claim something. No hassles and will stay with them for a long time
Have had 3 boats insured over the past 9 years with trident and never made a claim until this year when the boat and trailer were jackknifed, it has been the 2 months and the worst customer service I have ever had. They will try anything to get out of paying you for damages even after getting multiple quotes that say the same thing, very unprofessional.
Trident has handled our insurances for years now and I would really like to highlight the exceptional service we receive from Belinda Caunt, a Senior Account Executive. Belinda has always been very thorough and diligent in her dealing with us, however recently she went over and above the call of duty while trying to help us find some insurance.
I cannot recommend Belinda and her team highly enough!

I've always had 2 vessels and never kept all my eggs in one basket,
the vessel with Trident marine was a total loss and they would not pay out due to the wording of their policy.

Called for a quote for my first boat, gave all my details to a very unenthusiastic sounding young man and, after a providing all of the information, was told that they would have to decline me due to the size and nature of the vessel (29ft cruiser) ? !
That info would've been great at the start of the call!
Have had a boat insured for approximately 6 years and released I had not heard or received a renewal notice for a while. When I made contact had been told the boat hadn't been insured since 2018. Very disappointed with their customer service. Have decided to get insurance through another company. Wouldn't recommend if customer service is something that appeals to you.
I'm impressed by the service. They are easier to understand and appear to be more thorough than my previous brokers. Tried many and I think Trident will be able to keep me happy, love their work so far
Don't claim of Trident. I was a customer for 4 years and I made one claim. I was then given 'A Refusal to Renew' notice. So they will take your money, but they dont like paying out!
Did the quote online (very easy) did a confirmation call just to check a couple of things. The staff I spoke to were all over it
done and paid, great to deal with
My 47ft Yacht was written off due a slippage accident. My dealings with Trident on this significant matter were prompt and without any incident.
I can not recommend them highly enough for professional and prompt service / settlement.
They insured my Hobie Pro Angler kayak the process was quick the staff were knowledgeable and professional.
Even just getting a quote was an inconsistent and disappointing experience. Trident Marine Insurance is best avoided.
