Toymate Super Store

We had a very disappointing experience in this store.very expensive, repetitive items and rude staff!

I visited toymate in Joondalup on Friday.
I went in, frantically trying to find a waterslide for my sons Christmas present (I had ordered one on Amazon over a month ago and they decided to change the original delivery which was set for 3rd December to the 10th of January!)
I walked to the back of the store where the water toys are, but couldn’t see them anywhere, there was a lovely man staking some shelves, who I asked to help me, I explained my situation and asked if there was any way I could get my hands on one, most retail workers would take one look and just say “nup, can’t see them” and that would be that.
He was very helpful and said that he couldn’t see any on the floor but he would go out the back and have a look for me, not only did he manage to find me one out the back, he also took it up the the register for me, helped me load it into my car and took my trolley back to the store for me, which I was using to cart my other purchases!
Extremely impressed with toymates customer service and not only their customer service but I have also noticed their prices have become a lot more competitive too!

Highly recommend!

Manager yelled at a young staff member on Saturday, he was quiet loud and unprofessional, it wasn't very kid friendly tbh.
Other then that, the store is alright it used to be better!

Huge store, with lots of products. Massive range of Lego from budget to high end. Purchased some bargain Buzz lightyear toys for my son and the staff were friendly and helpful. Will be back.

Oh em gee! The range! Love this store, good sales, and a big thankyou to the fab customer service at Christmas time for playing along and helping me keep the toys I was buying out of my child's sight. Wonderful staff. Highly recommend but please get afterpay in store and online

My Daughter had a Discount Card n My Grandson loves the Shop, knows where every Toy is.

A lovely store with exceptionally helpful staff. Thank you so much, Alec, for your wonderful manner and for going above and beyond to help me! This store has a huge choice of products at reasonable prices and they have very good sales discounts too. Has easy access for wheelchairs and plenty of parking in front of the store.

Some great deals, however, their prices on many dolls were way more expensive than Other toy provider. They have a huge selection though

I purchased an item from the online store and for some reason I had to return it, the store was absolutely amazing in processing my refund, no hassle, contactless even due to covid

*UPDATE* I'm saddened to say that nothing has been done about the music in store. I will not be bringing my children back here, rather I will purchase online from the newly re-launched and loved original Toys and Babies toy stores!

For a children's toy store, the choice in music is questionable! Blaring loud adult themed music is not ok.
And this has not changed over the last few visits to this store, even after bringing it to the attention of staff.
I am not the only reviewer who has noted this. Toymate: please read what your visitors are leaving in their feedback.
I will return in a few weeks and update my review.

Have purchased 3 faulty toys now and have been told they’ll do nothing about it, if it was purchased more than 2 weeks ago. Terrible customer service.

I really love coming here to get hotwheels and nerf guns and some lego city but I’m a MASSIVE mega blocks fan and I would really love if you guys could ship in some mega blocks halo I basically brought out the small sets you had there but other then that I love the shop

Awesome place for variety of things for children. Bought all that I needed for children's activities.

Open most of the time, friendly staff, very patient with the kids riding the electric bikes about. Awesome.

Awesome toy store. Absolutely lovely staff, so helpful with a great sense of humour and endless patience plus there's a huge variety and reasonable prices especially items that are on special are often cheaper than the shopping centres!

Make sure to review pricing elsewhere. I can guarantee you will find better prices online or even from other stores. They say they will price match but dont even honour that with a competitor website stating they offer that price on pick up. They lost over $1200 sale on a sunday, as the item we were looking at was not the only thing we wanted.
Would not recommend to anyone.

Love this toy shop! Always has the best sales.a much better company to fill the gap that Toys R Us left!
