Toodyay IGA reviews
15Very expensive. Went for shampoo and conditioner, as well as baby wipes. Very overpriced, new to town and will need to drive to Northam for shopping, and IGA for urgent things. Doesn't have much range of baby formula, have to drive to Northam for that too. On the positive side the new renovations are looking good, the new food bit near the checkouts is a good idea and have had a few things from it that tasted good. Friendly helpful staff.
IGA Toodyay is expensive, it is more of a convenience store.
Because of that fact, when a shop like this holds the monopoly in a small town they charge what they like, if you can drive THE APPROXIMATE 50kms RETURN to the Northam and shop just at Aldi's and Spudshed drive back with all what you possibly could have purchased at IGA Toodyay, you would definitely come home with a huge savings in your pocket but covered the cost of your fuel as well, but Northam also has woollies and Coles, bunnings, hairdressers doctors, dentists fast food and restaurants, etc,
It is beneficial to the service industry in your local town to provide affordable products and services for the the well being of those other businesses around you because you need each other to survive. Force people to chase the bargains and we all suffer in some way.
By one store being so expensive it means that all other businesses in Toodyay suffer as usually people while shopping elsewhere shop in other stores, causing our local shops to suffer in town.
A really great small town IGA, has everything you need, very friendly staff, and has good food, fresh, cooked, it has pre-made meals, Pies, pasties, egg and bacon rolls. Top spot for a tradie to grab some tucker.
Staff are absolutely wonderful, can't say enough positive things about them, but the owners of this store must be smoking some serious product to think their prices are OK, have had many people tell me they can't afford to shop in that store anymore since the new management, they have to drive all the way to northam.
A good selection of a lot of things. There are many pre-made, fresh, salad rolls also available in the fridges near the deli. They have a fair selection of magazines and cards.
Brilliant country IGA with everything you need. Bread rolls were beautiful and fresh and the vegetables here are some of the freshest I have ever tasted, compared to some of the rubbish sold at the supermarkets in Perth.
Looks like a great store staff very friendly, can't wait to go back and take my time in the store
Great
Good big store with plenty of variety
Including lotto n scratchie
Plus fruit n vegies etc
Always enjoy popping in there when in Toodyay.
Love the home cooked roast beef in the deli.
I arrived in Toodyay as an invalid. (Only temporary) on crutches and with no car. The lovely staff offered and delivered my stores to our home. Awesome old school country service. One devoted local loyal customer now. Thankyou.
No competition for this store but they have everything you need and more, competitively priced and kept clean and tidy
One of the best ranges of produce from basic to gourmet. Ingredients through to ready to eat meals. Fresh with local touches.
The staff are some of the best, always friendly and smiling cannot fault them. As a pensioner I’m glad to have one near home for the essentials, but I do find their prices are a little expensive those extra cents on some articles can add up so I am guilty of driving to Northam to Aldi for my regular shopping.
When you are having one of those hectic for of days (can't get your thing together.you know) just ask the people in the IGA to direct you to your stuff. Calming? A little. Nice people, they seem to understand.
IGA is our local supermarket which we shop at regularly. The staff are very friendly and helpful. IGA will try to get things in which they may not have. The fruit and veg are not always the greatest and sometimes prices can be a little steep for the quality of the product. I am a New Zealander having lived here 14 years, my standards are high. Fruit and veg are way different here and it doesn’t matter where I shop fruit and veg are never quite as fresh contrary to what we are led to believe. But it’s wonderful to have a local IGA, they stock quite a variety of things to cater to most tastes. We prefer to support local businesses where possible.
