I don't mind paying extra for better quality but this place is highway robbery, the only thing missing is the balaclavas. Mortadella $30/kg exactly same product at the Re Store $26/kg, $4/kg difference, come on! Really expensive store. Good selection. Good butcher and coffee cake shop.

This is my fav place to get supplies when I visit Perth. Great coffee and cannoli, excellent quality meat and veg and lots of yummy, homemade options to go. Always love visiting Tony Ales.

Ignore the small handful of negative reviews, this place is an institution. Marcos fussy meats with their excellent pies, sausage rolls as well as their excellent butcher range, Dolce and Salato with their rolls, pizza, desserts and coffee and Tony Ales own deli section are all excellent, the only problem is deciding between the three for breakfast/lunch. On top of that the produce is great, imported smallgoods, range of pasta, sauces, cheeses both local and imported.the list goes on. Just be prepared to dodge other customers, it's a small place and always busy. Can't recommend enough.

Great vegetable shopping - with deli, butchery and cafe selections. Reasonably priced and lots of interesting food items to browse. Cakes, cannoli, eclairs etc are cheaper than most Perth places (can choose large or small). And the coffees very decent. Outdoor seating area could benefit from expanding into the carpark.

The butcher is great in there and the pies from them are absolutely delicious and I can definitely recommend
The fruit and vegetables are good quality at Tony Ales but the section with the precooked meals from Tony Ales are a bit of a ripoff
I had curry with rice from there a couple of times now, just to find rice covering all the bottom of the container and half the container on top with only a little curry (half) on top so it looks like from the top it’s half half
Spaghetti with breadcrumbs was lots of crumbs on the top and almost a cm of crumbs covering the bottom of the container with a bit spaghetti in the middle
It’s ok for fruits and vegetables even though they’re a bit more expensive
The butcher Marco’s fresh meats and the bakery are great and very friendly staff too

Just a great shop for fruit/veg/deli/butcher. Dunno about the bread. Good vibe. Butchers are very friendly.

I have been shopping here for years, I have always been an happy customer, however I have been disappointed lately from the customer service from the deli ham section. I believe they changed the staff and I have been served by rude ladies lately. I still did not complained and I am always polite but I have to say they rolled their eyes like they didn’t want to serve me and I did not go there at closing time because I understand it is annoying for them to get there at the last minute because they are cleaning the machines. Few weeks ago I asked for thin sliced ham as I usually do weekly, (I spend lots of money as I also get prosciutto which is expensive and other few cold sliced meat). That day I had my kids with me so I was distracted and didn’t check that the ham was sliced thin (usually they show me the first slice and ask me if I am happy with that) but also I should be able to trust them if I kindly asked for thin sliced ham and I also made her repeat if she understood thin please. After spending 50$ at the deli and more in fruit veg and other things I went home and next morning opened my ham and found thick sliced like steak not able to give that to the kids for lunch box that morning and feeling really disappointed because the lady said yes I asked her twice if she understood thin and I also apologized for the inconvenience of having to slice 300 grams of ham thin but that’s the only way I like it and can eat it. I also purchased lemon pepper chicken and I could not eat that either because it was so thick and isn’t supposed to be that way if I asked it to have it thin right. So next day I went back (I did not touch the products I had the receipt) I kindly explained the situation to the till lady who was very nice and understanding and she tried to call management with an announcement. I waited 15 minutes apparently they were on lunch break (it was around 2.30 pm). Finally a young guy came and I was surprised he was the manager because I expected someone who has been there for long time considering the name of the shop and the quality I always experienced. He told me he could not do anything for me because the product was sliced already. He didn’t apologize about the customer service I received even when I told him
After the first lot I needed something else and the deli lady was not giving me attention and I felt I had to ask her twice to get me something more so the attitude isn’t right at all there. I explained I could not eat that and he just kept saying it was my fault for not checking but I asked it to have it thin and I usually get the lady to show me the slice thickness … I told him I am loyal customer who goes there every week and spend lots in fruit veg and deli and if he didn’t fix this I wasn’t going to shop there ever again and he said that was fine. I am a mum I work hard full time and this was a big deal for me because I didn’t have my kids lunch for the morning and as I said I am working full time and no time to waste. I am also Italian so I know how ham should be sliced and I worked myself in a deli in the past and their service was really unacceptable. I never complain and I have lots of patience but this time I wasted my time and my money as the product could not be consumed the way the lady sliced it! I am so disappointed by the way the “ manager” dealt with it and I will never go back ever again! If you want to low your quality and customer service then I am sorry but I can see your business going down and I told all my friends not to go there again so unfortunately that’s what it is.

The butcher (Fussy Meats?) is exceptional. They are located inside Tony Ales, at the back of the store.

Their steak & pepper pies are one of the best pies I've had.

For some reason every time I order a roll from here the price seems to change from what's advertised on the sign above counter, eg ham and salt roll price $ 5.49 go to check out $ 6.49
Eg 3 meats roll advertised $6.99 go.to check out $8.50.
Please stick to price you advertise.

Clean and organized.
Veg's and fruit look so fresh.also they had veg's and fruit already cut up, which is good for people who have sore hands or quick meal prep after work.

Fantastic selection of food and vegetables, worth going to. I would recommend them, and the staff are polite and knowledgeable.

As always, the food is very good though expensive. Overall the shopping experience is stressful due to lack of space, particularly at the checkouts where there is very little room to unload and organise groceries. What little open surface there is is often taken up by boxes of various goods. Admit that. Recent changes to the layout have made parts of the store easier to manoeuvre in. Would not recommend this store to people with any sort of mobility issues which is a real shame.

Tony Ale &Co has the most amazing products and produce with separate butchers and bakers within all with outstanding products that you might not be able to find elsewhere, combine it with a specialist butcher shop and an Italian style deli within and their own gourmet deli and you've got a winner ️

A bit disappointing since the new owners moved in. You need to check your receipt every time. Today, I was charged twice for one article and not given the marked down price on another. Although they sorted it, this resulted in time wasting and disruption to other customers.
