Tomato Lake reviews
36Good experience here the people who have booths here are friendly no trying to get you to buy good selection of various goods. It even has a barbers and hairdressers.
Always a pleasant stroll, lots of bird life. When picnicking, beware of sea gulls! Cafe facilities available.
Massive park with several playgrounds, footpaths, benches, and areas to explore. There aren't heaps of trees for shaded space but nothing a small tent or marquee couldn't fix.
Awesome place for a gathering with the people you enjoy the most, perfect spot for BBQ or eat from the cafe that have a great range of food to accommodate any dietary.
Had a great walk around Tomato Lake with my family the other day. Still can't believe that I didn't know about this beautiful place until now. The scenery was divine and the walk was very enjoyable. There are several playgrounds for kids and some bbq facilities so a great spot for families who enjoy doing outdoor activities.
Great place for a gentle 1.6 km walk by yourself, with friends or with the dog, around the lake. Some exercise equipment and several playgrounds on the walk around. Very popular with families. Excellent Cafe. If you are looking for peace and quiet not the spot in school holidays.
Love the wildlife, the birds are spectacular. It is a very special place in the middle of suburbia. Walk around the lake, enjoy and relax.
A beautiful, expansive park that has a little bit of everything and is pleasant to visit all year round. The park’s lake is surrounded by vibrant foliage and is home to various waterbird families.
Great place to jog, walk your dog or bring your kids to have fun at one of its playgrounds. Plenty of picnic benches, bubblers, bins and poop bags around the park.
Nice lake! Short walk around it where you will see nesting Ibis at this time of year. Playground, Cafe and toilets. Good pathway all the way around. Suitable for those with mobility issues as it is easily accessible.
Lots of open space, green grass, shady trees, the lake itself, a nice easy walk around the lake, wildlife, public toilets and Cafe. Great spot for a BBQ, picnic, birthday party.
Beautiful park. Highly recommend. Awesome play equipment and workout facilities.
Ducklings and cygnets at the moment qlso so very cute!
Such a beautiful place! Quiet, great walking pathways, amazing amount of birdlife and the water is beautiful. Plenty of parking too.
Great range of play equipment and if you go for a walk around the lake, it's a rewarding experience full of wildlife and serene scenery.
We, Circle of The Sword, train our sword fighting group here every second Sunday.
The park lands opposite the kiosk are wonderful for our purposes. A great kiosk sustains our food and drink needs, the "conveniences" are exactly that, well cleaned and maintained. The shade trees are in abundance.
Just a great place.
Love this place. Great for exercise, fun place for the kids & to spend time with the family
Nice place, and great animals to watch while walking, and there's a small coffee shop near buy. What more can you want.
It had beautiful scenery, really nice playgrounds for the kids and a lovely community based atmosphere
Really nice well maintained park with the ability to feel like you are out in the country rather than inner city with lakeside or bush tracks. Lovely cafe for well earned breakfast or a cup of coffee.
Not so healthy. The lake is stagnant and blooming with algae, with signs up saying water is unsafe- avoid contact. The water is high following recent rains, but the bird life seems to have divided its numbers. No turtles or frogs were noticed on a liesurely stroll around the park, but generally the park was neat, clean and maintained.
