Picked up a car and after recording the damage on it (they said there was no damage) I headed off to an appointment and then noticed the car had only a half a tank of fuel! Great. Lots of pics for evidence

Thrifty are the best of them all. I have used other big name rental companies and been ripped off with fine print bond deductions. Thrifty are 100% honest.

Had a great experience and a smooth handover! Kelvin was great to deal with. Would use these guys again! Conveniently located next to the Jetstar and qantas terminals and only a 200 metre walk!

Rented a moving truck van. Came with a nail in front left tyre. Tyre pressure was low, poor maintenance; had a really hard time pumping the tyre to get the job done. I think they charged me for the tyre repair as well; so far i had no time to sort that out but I must.

Not happy about being charged additional money for petrol! Filled the car up 3 km away from the airport on the report it said 7/8 Full and I’ve been charged for 11.52L I don’t believe a Kia Sportage has a petrol tank that is larger than 90 L as 1/8 is supposed to be 11.52L & at $3 litre.

Service terrible

When I rented a car online, I promised that it was a 4WD that was guaranteed the day before we picked up the car. As a result, when we got the car, what did we say that the 4WD had an accident? Does your company have a 4WD since it can’t provide the 4WD that I want? Notify us in advance, it broke my planned holiday

Returned car with No damage emailed 7 hours later to say there had been damage.
Informed by claims that even though the car was in there possession I am still liable.
Then they stole $1015 from a card they were not authorised to use and still did not communicate this to me.
Very very illegal whilst I was receiving treatment for cancer.
Shame shame shame on you Thrifty.

Always try to use Thrifty, great Auto Club discounts, there cars are always week maintained and reliable. Customer service is top notch, which is also very important for this industry.

Counter is located just outside International Arrivals, so that was convenient. Presented my booking reference number and picking up my keys were easy. The SUV was in good condition and clean, and easy to locate in the car park. We had no issues with the vehicle, and the drop off was easy as well. All done within minutes.

However, I must highlight an issue, especially for international visitors. When we picked up the car, we were told we need to put in AUD385 deposit on a credit card. Didn't think much about it because this is very common with other car rental companies as well as hotels. So the surprise came when I got my credit card statement. In my experience, other car rental companies and hotels will block AUD 385 from the credit card that's given. But, not in this case. I was charged AUD 385 when I picked up the car, and I was refunded AUD 385 when I returned the car. Now, do you see the issue for a foreign credit card? Yes! It's the forex. To cut the story short, I paid an additional AUD 30 for my rental just because of this. So, Thrifty, please.just follow industry standards and practices and block the amount in the card instead.

Took a renta Fromm welshpool. Was told to take out the “ ultimate insurance” Paid $36 on top for 24 hours.

Needed to make a claim
And guess what terms and condition which they don’t make available rule out almost any type of occurrence. It’s a con don’t buy it!
