It was just a place to rest a weary head. Stange layout, living space downstairs, beds upstairs, which meant (when I was there) that is was cold in the living area but warm in the sleeping area, could be uncomfortable in Summer. No TV in the sleeping area. Free WiFi which worked ok but was nothing special.

With the exception of the exhaust fan and a bit of a funky smell, the bathroom was clean. The water from the shower was not well contained by the shower curtain, making a bit of a mess. No shortage of hot water and very good water pressure. Needed to unplug the TV from the wall several times to get it to work properly, just wouldn't change channels via the remote. The aircon was a little noisy on the roof and I did notice that the filter was blocked with dust. Kitchen was basic and I was disappointed to see a thick coating of grime on the rangehood and a dead fly in the fridge which isn't acceptable. Needless to say I chose not to use the kitchen.

My room and my adjoining room, had the aircon system mounted on the roof of my room directly above my bed, when the neighbours had the aircon on it sounded like pl anes were on the roof.

Upon arrival staff were friendly and helpful, which is largely where the positive experience ended. The room was stuffy and dated, but functional. Very noisy location - heavy truck traffic makes for interesting early mornings, as well as the slamming of surrounding doors and sounds of showers and yelling at 4am from the FIFO workers. Spoke to reception on day two, enquiring as to the “streaming services” listed on both the booking site and their own website as available to our room, only to be told by the manager hiding in the office that “you get what’s there” - which was nothing. The thick black dust on the extraction fan in the bathroom and dead insects in the ceiling light should point to the level of care applied by staff to this facility. Had to approach reception on day 3 for fresh towels, as housekeeping had not serviced the room. On day four, after a disappointing conversation with reception, our room was serviced, then ignored for the next three days. One of the laundry facilities was out of order, and the second facility was disgusting - half the machines were out of order, the floor was strewn with rubbish and the ceiling thick with black cobwebs and PowerPoints so dusty I’m surprised they didn’t start a fire. The much lauded bbq area was filthy, with practically mouldy food on the hot plate - not to mention the water fountain in this “relaxing” area was green and stagnant. I’ve stayed in caravan parks better maintained and serviced than this “four star” hotel. No brochures or information about the facility were available for guests in the rooms. Once we returned to Melbourne we were charged an extra $30 credit card surcharge that was not explained to us when booking or upon arrival. The staff member we spoke to - Maddy - was rather abrupt on the phone with these concerns and responded to our concerns with “well, we have 128 rooms, you can’t expect them all to be serviced everyday! ” Actually, for a four star hotel, yes you can! Ultimately, if you want a location close to town, and a bed to sleep on, it will meet your needs. If you’re actually expecting four star accomodation - look elsewhere.

The room old and tired. Road noise dreadful. The bathroom drains extremely smelly, stank the room out. No offer to move when informed about the stinky room. "That's just the way it is". Also had a RAT in the room.did move rooms then when I stated I could stay in that room. Staff x3 stand-offish to rude.
Obviously I won't be going back!

The receptionist I had named Maddison Martin. First she mixed up my payment with some system issue that she couldn't explain well, then she was being extremely rude to instruct me to come to the reception to provide my credit card details. When I was asking her if I can come first thing tomorrow morning, she said I couldn't. I explained to her that I'm extremely tired as I have been up and running for 24 hours due to the nature of my job, she replied "so do I". She also raised her voice saying that it is not her fault and it is not her job to solve my problems over the phone. So I was forced to come to the reception in my pyjamas when I was already half asleep. Finally, when she was processing my credit card details, she was typing so hard on the keyboard to show me she was unhappy too. This is the worst ever and ridiculous service I ever received in my life. While I totally understand that the system mixed up happens sometimes, it would be so much nicer if she can word it nicer, being understanding of everyone's situation instead of being entitled to instruct the customers.

Great rooms and location in town. Comfortable beds and I enjoyed staying here for the 3 nights we were in Kal. The breakfast spot was spacious and it’s a plus for their opening times to cater FIFO hours. Will be choosing here again when we are back in town.

Reception staff were good with checking in. The room is clean and comfortable with the normal tea and coffee. Restaurant was more of a buffet and set up more for workers but it was still good.

Was booked here through the company. Plenty of off street parking behind the units. We needed a secure spot for our cargo. 2 storey apartment style rooms with kitchen area and shower downstairs.
There is also a small seating area out the front.
The room smelt overwhelming of disinfectant. Opened the bathroom door and wasn't impressed. It smelt like urine.
It may have been the long shower cutain still sitting in water that may have been the issue. Plenty of clean towels.
Room lighting was unusual. Couldnt turn off the downstairs light from the upstairs bedroom.
Breakfast in the morning was buffet style. Fresh and well presented.
Overall the staff both at check in and breakfast were friendly and helpful.
I thought it was a little expensive for a bed for the night seeing as breakfast wasnt included.
The company also got charged a credit card surcharge. Surely that shouldve been included in the rate.

I cannot complain about the accommodation - it is sparse but more than ample. It is older accommodation and kot so upmarket but plenty of spare blankets and pillows, plenty of tea and coffee in the units, very clean and i felt secure in it.
The only real downers for me were that
A) The restaurant closed at 1930hrs. Our virgin airlines flight was delayed by hours so no food available at all when I arrived and that was not grand.
B) The wifi would not connect - essentially the router needed rebooting from the message I got back from it when i tried to connect. It was late and I couldn't be bothered taking it up with the front desk but that wasn't great actually.
The desk staff were pleasant though.
But anyway, it was one brief overnight staging stop before the next flight today and it was ok.
I would stay here again if booked in by my organisation. Even with the two grumbly bugbears given it 5 stars

The name suggests it has a view, it does not it also suggests its a hotel, it is not. That being said if you book direct on line you get a free breakfast but beware breakfast runs from 4am till 8am and its got all the stuff a man can eat ie toast scrambled eggs bacon sausages beans cereal drinks juice etc but you need to get in before 8am. The rooms are basic they are clean and tidy the ensuite is also basic but clean and tidy, mine smelled slightly damp not enough airing. The staff are friendly and accomodating I needed a flouro light replaced over the mirror and it was done before I got back from my walk. Also beware they ask for $100 deposit on each room when you get there it is a bond in case of damage. It is close enough to walk up Hannans Street to the Pubs or eating places so also only around $12 for a taxi from the train station. The beds were comfortable so not bad value the only thing I would have liked would have been security screen on the window facing to the walkway this would be great for single ladies staying.

Fabulous value. The motel dining room has a television running (seemingly) non-stop, however. This is a pity, as is the somewhat ordinary eggs that form the backbone of the 'continental' breakfast. Room had some door knobs missing, small stains on furniture and carpet and overall the site was a little tired. Still, it was clean and cheap, and cheaper yet when rooms are ordered online.

When I stayed it was flat out busy. Nevertheless the staff were excellent and the Accomodation was clean and well appointed. I didn’t eat dinner there but HS a takeaway lunch and it was good. The outside bbq area for guests was a particular highlight.

Parking is tricky but what do you expect when every single car is a massive 4x4.10/10 will stay again.

Just watch a grown man being belittled by a staff member in a crowded restaurant for coming in just after 7 pm. I feel her attitude towards him was discussing and uncalled for!

Stayed in unit 107. No secure parking, 2 Car break-ins at rear alley parking including my own, poor maintenance broken lights on bed head rain leaks through air conditioner runs down wall. Complaints made to management, no action. Better value elsewhere, won't be back.

Staff at the front desk was helpful.
Room was ok for the price.
Checked in Friday and then had to ask for a rubbish bag on Sunday afternoon as not had the room cleaned, new towels or rubbish removed
Was told they don't clean the rooms in Sunday.
But did see room cleaners at other rooms on Saturday, maybe they just missed mine?
They did remove the rubbish bag I left out the front of my room, (very quickly)
Would I come back again? Not sure, maybe I could try another place of equal value.

Basic mining camp accommodation with a rude arrogant receptionist. Franky, I'd rather throw $154 out the window than stay at this place again.

Not sure if we stayed in the same hotel we booked but by the rooms given, this is not a 4 star hotel.

The room smelt terrible. Had to leave the door open and aircon on to try and get some fresh air in. The furniture and and bed covers are just out of date, worn out, seemed dirty and could do with replacing. The bathroom steps down about 3cm and the drain couldn’t seem to keep up with the amount of water, this resulted in a flooded bathroom after a shower.

Leah at reception was helpful with checking in. Although our car did have a trailer and we asked if there was space available, showing us on the map the places that are empty and plenty of space available for our car within the hotel parking. Once we pulled around there were no places available as the car park full.

Over all it was a warm bed at the end of the day. The rooms were spacious, water pressure and temperature was nice. There was some noise in the area but the rooms blocked it out nicely. Pricing is meh.
Would look else where if we find ourselves staying the night in Kalgoorlie again.

Bed was okay, room was okay size.
Slow service for food in the restaurant but was worth the wait.
