The Tap reviews
44Just happened there were 2 weddings taking place when we visited. The place is not porch but have nice atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seatings were quite conducive. Nothing fantastic about the food. But looking at all the traffics and happiness on the faces, already made you made your day! Worth exploring!
The Brie was overcooked that it was split. The soup was pureed that it was like baby food, sorry cant recommend this at all.
Just been to the Tap for lunch and I have to say it was one of the worst meals we have ever had we ordered 5 sharing plates from the Tapas menu every dish was served cold the croquettes that came out first we’re warm and crispy on the outside the inside was stone cold we sent that dish back and the girl apologised the four other plates came out soon after all cold very disappointing considering the money we paid, we have been to the Tap many times previously and have always had a great meal there we haven’t been for a while since the menu has been changed today we thought we would go for a nice drive and try the newer menu not worth the hours drive there and the meal that was served. Very disappointing experience.
Pizza was nice, wait was quite long and it wasn't exactly busy. Friendly staff though.
Went on a Saturday for early lunch. We were sat inside - we tried to see if we could sit outside but apparently they didn’t have room due to the wine tours they had coming that day - but it ended up being fine as we preferred being in a more quiet spot anyway.
The food was beautiful, there wasn’t really any that we didn’t like from what we ordered. The only critique on the food would be that the pork belly definitely needed more salt. Other than that, dessert was also yummy - definitely recommend the salted caramel panna cotta.
The other thing we noted was the service could’ve been better. It was a little slow but a lot of places have been understaffed lately so I just thought it might be for that reason.
We went for the pizza, but it was served cold, and honestly it was really average, also we had Calamari and it was grease. Service was very good. The old menu was way better and pizza was great before.
Vibes are awful here.
Came with a party bus and was told we weren't allowed to walk around the venue save for our designated area which was in full sun. It was such a weird experience being paying customers but treated like preschoolers. Would not recommend, wish I could give it less stars. Also the funk cider tasted like urine, clean your taps.
Love the food here and normally come during the week for lunch. Did a Sunday lunch and they had same amazing food, but the wine tour buses also kept coming, which resulted in people vomiting in the carpark, definitely put me off going on a Sunday ever again.
Stopped for after work drinks and food. Booked very last minute and they were accommodating. Staff were friendly. Food was very delicious, really enjoyed the pizzas and the fact they cater for vegans. Great cocktails.
Great food and atmosphere, staff very friendly. My wife and I had lunch there and walked out "full as googs". We'll be back with friends or family. Highly recommended.
The vibe to have beers and sitting outside with the swan view always awesome. Moreover, their collection of songs are good too
Wow! Chapel Farm is so Charming absolutely love this beautiful Winery the food was lovely and fresh the Wine was Delish the garden has heeps of shady areas outside this is a fabulous place for Weddings and Family gatherings and Business events a must visit I Highly recommend Chapel Farm.
Highly recommended for the Undead
If you enjoy cold, moody, and dark eating conditions for your horde then this is your place. However, if don’t like kind waitstaff, fast food service and delicious grub, then perhaps this is not your place.
Visited the chapel farm the other night, for a special family event. We had modest expectations, given the climate of hospitality, but we were surprised to start a special evening out in the cold, with no lighting or heating. This was particularly alarming as we had 3 seniors and 8 young children with us. After my partner made an advance booking, no manager or member of staff contacted us to let us know well be dinning gothic alfresco next to the ice machine in a very cramped corridor. Not sure if they broke any OSH or Food Safe rules that night? The shining light on this gothic experience, was the waitstaff and the food. They were kind (after several verbal inquires) in bringing out candles and our food in rapid speed. We were quite surprised to have found the food quite tasty. Must have an exceptional kitchen, given that there was also a function and inside was quite busy.
My advice to the ownership and general manager is discipline management, and reward your waitstaff. This eatery has such potential, but communication and hospitality have truly fluttered away like a bat out of hell.
Delicious again, love the share plates and the cocktails/ mocktails.
Two share plates definitely enough for 1, could sit all day and graze if open longer.
I was here for a wedding, excellent venue- looks like you can head out here without needing a function which I'll be sure to prioritise
A friendly relaxed home style atmosphere. Everything from the service to the amazing food was exceptional. Well worth the visit.
Food wasn't the greatest. The menu was hard to read. Would be better with classic pub menu. Not just pizza. The actual place is beautiful.
Not bad, not good either. Food very average at best. Meatballs were dry like meatloaf. Pizza base was too thin and under cooked. Beer is good. Won't be going back
Very cold.needed more outdoor heaters. Great venue for warmer weather. Pizzas were delicious but there were only pizzas plus assorted sides. Good service.
Such a quirky, beautiful place well worth a visit. I'll be visiting whenever I can!
The sticky date pudding is so bloody yummy (and for a gluten free desert it's well worth indulging!)
