The Shoe Man reviews
20My favourite brown dress boots had the seam on the back coming apart - another store said it was unfixable but the shoe man did a fantastic job on repairing it for me and now I can keep wearing them!
40 years this great unique Park Centre kiosk has been operating to cut keys, repair shoes & bags, supply remotes, fix car keys & program, engraving, sharpening, watch & remote batteries, et al. Friendly knowledgeable, expert service with a smile and fast a real pleasure gentleman, thank you for my first class key copy's x 8, see you soon
Friendly service with quick turnaround but i was very disappointed with how my Doc Martens were treated. First of all the laces werent even undone and the tongue was left unpolished. The yellow lacing around the base of the shoes are covered in black polish which is impossible to get off. And lastly they were just excessively shiny and still had polish coming off them when i tried to wipe them down a bit afterward. Just felt like a rushed sloppy job with zero care. Won't go back and won't recommend.
Really friendly guys, great quick service. However polished my shoes with what looks like the wrong colour, scratched the boots in two different spots and nailed a new rubber heal in. Was under the impression they had RM heels for my boots like other cobblers.
Friendly, professional and fast! Cannot recommend these guys enough, they have fixed multiple things for me and exceed my expectations every time. Thank you!
These guys are my go to! I used to get keys cut at a 'large hardware store' but you get what you pay for, as I would often have to return multiple times when they wouldn't inevitably fit or work properly due to their slow and ineffective machinery designed for unskilled staff to use.
These guys however; deliver quality service, decent prices and are never too busy to help. Highly recommend.
John and Mel are such delightful men to deal with whenever keys are in need of being cut, or belts are in need of additional holes. Their work is of great quality and they're very efficient at what they do; plus they get bonus points for their punny sign at the front! My boyfriend and I have come here a few times and always been greeted with a friendly, light-hearted attitude and a smile, and will continue to come back for the great service and chats.
Mal has been repairing mine and my family's shoes for 33or so years and I couldn't recommend anyone else as he is absolutely brilliant at doing Shoe and bag repairs.
I've been coming to these guys for 10+ years now and have had many items repaired including handbags, shoes, ugg boots, runners, as well as keys cut and dog tags engraved. The service and workmanship has always been great!
Phoned this repair shop.
And a week later I have still not received a call back.
I'll take my business elsewhere
Paid $72 for re sole and some minor stitching, the shoe man was not friendly, didn't fix all the stitching and didn't polish the shoes. Not value for money.
Expensive for key cutting. 3 keys cost just under $30. I did get coloured keys tho. 1 key was cut wrong from movement while being cut. They fixed that for free when I returned. Friendly, happy guys.:)
Really knows his stuff. Found a key for my 1989 Rolls Royce in seconds. Good at shoes and keys.
My wedding shoes that I ordered from America had a bit too much of a heel on them and they were able to remove part of it and stretch it so it my foot perfectly. Thank you so much- have already been back for my husbands shoes and will continue to come back for your fantastic work!
I have been to this shoe place last 15 years. The owner offers great service, unfortunately, the other guys rude manner spoils the owner's business.
Bring my Salvatore there to stretch the size a lil bit, he said it got a bit of dark stain on the side (the fabric was completely in perfect condition), offered to clean & shampoo it, I was a bit worried but he convinced me that they’re expert in shoes & has been doing shoes for 20 years. Ended up the fabric has completely come off, rubbed vigorously, & even got holes on it. The fabric has gone darker in colour as well & there’s a new stain too. A lot better condition when I dropped it than when I picked it up. Paid $40 to make my shoes worse than ever.
Poor service and extremely arrogant. I took a shoe to be repair only to be told it's not worth it and I'd only get one or two wears out of it. He wasn't happy that I said that's ok I really want them fixed. On another occasion I went to have a key copied and once again arrogant and rude. Here is a suggestion - get out of customer service guys if you hate your job so much.
Have been going to this shop for 30 years.always courteous service and my old boots look like new.
Very poor. Treated with hostility when my goods weren't able to be found.
When they were finally located a week later there was no apology just continued attitude and rudeness. The item had belonged to my late partner and was to be part of his recent farewell. Unfortunately that was not possible as they couldn't find the item when originally time for pick up.
Very distressing.
Would not recommend nor use this business ever again.
Excellent old fashioned personable customer service. Mel and John are priceless and add value to this shopping centre
