The Roastery reviews
64First time I have been here and was impressed the food was good and great service in a relaxed atmosphere will be back to try some more dishes
What a family friendly place staff is absolutely beautiful and kind and welcoming especially Carmen and Lak thank you ladies for your great service God Bless you both Miss Maddie Canning Vale
Quick and friendly service. Have only ever ordered coffee for take away but the food looked really good - must try sometime. The coffee (mocha with full cream milk) is done well.
Just popped in for a lunch snack iced- coffee and tomato bruschetta, delicious! Appreciate the ability to order half serves for some menu items. This enjoyable lunch was the perfect quantity and cost $14.90. Very happy.
Once again a delicious lunch and coffee here. Flexibility when ordering food to cater for dietary variation. Spaciously set out tables and chairs both inside and outside. Hand sanitizer at the door for entry. A relaxing environment and friendly polite staff.
The mexican egg dish withe poached egg was a disaster. The poached egg was the size of a pigeons egg and the food dished out was warm and no presentation. When I complained the waitress gave the excuse the menu was new and they were still trying out, she went and spoke to the Chef who cares 2 hoots about it. Unfortunately in a lot of places here they employ people who are nor Chefs they do not have experience. They are amateur cooks but liked to be called Chefs.
The service was excellent. The food was delicious and came out quite quick and the decor has a nice rustic feel to it.
I don't particularly leave reviews but was very disappointed with the service. Plain rude. Will not be back.
Great large space and a nice environment. Menu has plenty of options although there is a rude statement at the bottom saying they won't make any changes to anything so they don't cater for allergies.
Food was nice but very spicy and over seasoned which is strange for avocado on toast. The coffee was far too hot, plant based milks burn at this temperature.
Edit - tried it again. They put dairy on the vegan (i.e. Advertised as non-dairy) breakfast.
Friendly service at counter, beautiful food and delicious coffee. Wait time wasn't long even though it was busy! Highly recommend for breakfast or lunch. Great menu as well with a variety of sweet and savoury and lots of options to choose from
Food came out quick and were all tasty! The tiramisu french toast was particularly nice. Would come back just for that!
Very nice place with ample space and a good menu to pick from. Food was generous in portion and good value for money. Not your cheapest buy far but good coffee makes up for it.
Hip alternative for breakfast or brunch or a coffee. Enjoyed my eggs benedict with generous serve of bacon which was pleasingly grease free. Reccomend
Went for breakfast this morning, friendly staff, bit overpriced but good food, basic cafe I would say
Good service, easy to find location with lots of parking. Inside of The Roastery is quite spacious with a variety of seating available, plus a couple of outdoor tables.
Drinks arrived first, then food (both in good time). Coffee didn't seem to be at the right temperature and wasnt filled to the top. Nice creamy crema on top. Coffee had a bit of a bitter taste but I think that's just the variety used as it was the same last time I was there, not keen on the coffee. Iced chocolate was nice but definitely not cold enough!
Food was presented beautifully and in large serves. One meal had coffee brisket added and there was a lot if it, definitely not a skimpy serve. The brisket was juicy and very tender. Poached eggs cooked perfectly.
Scrambled eggs on second dish were light, glossy and cooked to perfection, decent sized bread and chorizo and fresh ingredients on the plate were great quality.
Cost was just under $50 for two breakfasts and two drinks so quite pricey. If you are looking for food that offers a bit more than the norm and is nice quality then give the place a go.
Delicious breakfast & coffee. This was my first time to the premises and enjoyed the ambience. Will come back
Tried this place a couple of times for breakfast. The French Toast and pancakes were superb. Muesli was one of the best. Highly recommend this place.
Food was very good with enough portion. We tried burgers and the chef's choice burger was very nice. This is not a pretty little cafe you may want to visit for a date. It's a big place in a shopping centre and a bit unorganised.
We eat here a lot. Tasty food (with variations happily catered for) and great coffee. Interesting themed decor too.
Good coffee and good food. The venue is a bit noisy but spacious. It's a pity they don't use panela sugar anymore. It used to give a better flavour to the coffee.
Front counter needs to communicate to cooks they forgot our breakfast, the place is very noisy talking over people
