The RISE reviews
28Very nice community space for everyone. Maybe say hello & greet people as we walk past, otherwise great space.
Nice gym, price for basketball court is a bit higher than other places but overall very good quality.
Great gym, new equipment that has been maintained well.although, the staff at front desk are rude (except steve he’s a lad) and never acknowledge you or say hi even though it’s there job to greet you. Forgot my gym card once and asked if they could open to door for me and it seemed like a huge hassle just for them to walk upstairs.shame
Helpful information and staff nice gym with amazing new machines clean yeah 5 out of 5 for sure
This is a really awesome venue and we were really impressed by the helpfulness and professionalism of the staff.
Lots of things here - the Maylands library, a gym and many meeting rooms as well as a desk for dealing with some Bayswater City issues. What is missing is somewhere to buy a good coffee, the café shut some time ago. I believe there was a visiting JP available at specific times, an appointment was essential.
The reason for my middling rating, I have problems walking to The Ruse now that crossing Railway Parade is almost impossible as is crossing Guildford Road. Both of these roads appear to favour drivers not those of us who choose other options, cycling or walking for instance. A crossing on Railway Parade was shut down and removed when the level crossing closed. The only ways of crossing without taking your life in your hands is at the lights of Grand Promenade or past the Maylands train station, neither of these favour pedestrians.
Guildford Road has a crossing at Eighth Avenue but you have to wait forever and run when it changes. Slow walkers would be hit in the rush of traffic. These need to be fixed as a matter of urgency.
We went there for the RSPCA pet check, the event was very well organized & very much appreciated. Even if has to eat 'skinny' biscuits

Wonderful place for everyone like gym, Tennis courts, Library, Function hall, Carnivals Once in while.especially kids can enjoy outdoor play area, and Creche.
My school forced me to come here. The event sucks but the place is very good.
The food really bad other than the vending machine. Great place, bad event.
The speakers in the ceiling are terrible they were crackly and sounded blown. The poor person trying to do the sound and music for the event struggled. Everytime someone stood near each other with a microphone it squeeked because everything was in the roof right above where you stood. Was terrible.
Very nice gardens, the people who look after the gardens must be very hard working. Well done on these facilities
Beautiful place staff at reception are really nice and friendly always willing to help.they have rude umpires.
One of the best libraries Ive ever been a member of, now Im at a different library which is good but the Rise has a better setting
Excellent facilities
Great equipment and courts
Bit hard to make booking sometimes as it's very popular.but I love this place
Well done Bayswater council.
Great spot.
A beautiful looking building. Really lovely views from many of the windows. Not sure what events are held there but will find out more. I was attending a Marriage Celebrant OPD update. Excellent day thanks Qualtrain Australia.
Great modern sports complex with plenty of natural light. Very accessible on Guildford Road and close public transport.
I go there quite often to enjoy the great selection of books and DVDs at the library. There's also a gym, sports courts, conference facilities and parking in the back. Though there isn't much parking.
In Reply to the Owner's comment. I was invited to a wedding reception (after party). Which I'm guessing was the functional room on Saturday the 4th of Jan 2020. There was no paper towel in the male bathroom and also the hand dryer was not working. How are we supposed to dry our hands? On another note there were cleaners in the building who seem to not care when I asked them about the issue. Other than that, it was a good experience.
Very modern building. Very comfortable atmosphere and good facilities. A credit to Bayswater city.
