The Richardson Aged Care reviews
7 A wonderful & caring team. I can't praise them enough for thought shown to my 92 year old Mum. It was a short visit but all the right decisions were made by the team.
Thank you Mini & all involved. Jill W
Very impressed with both the hotel-like facilities and the care being provided to my family member. A huge thank you to Aimee and Mini for their help arranging the admission and for helping with settling in, to Kelly and Helen who are always so welcoming and helpful, and to the nursing team, carers and allied health team (especially Daniel) who provide such exceptional care.
I am very unimpressed with the level of communication in this facility. My mother's 2 week respite period was cancelled and I was told the deposit would be returned to my account. Nearly six weeks later, three phone calls plus an internal email sent to two relevant people by one of the workers and no-one has responded. And I'm still waiting for my deposit. I have also emailed the facility and am waiting for a response. Shortly after posting this review and emailing the facility I received a prompt response, profuse apologies and was told the money would be returned today.
It is hard for me to believe what goes on here. I hope I never end up in a place anything like this. Quite a dismissive response from the Richardson but not at all what I am referring to and I strongly disagree with the 'high' level of 'care'.
I urge all ex-staff members and others to speak up about what they see.
My mother entered the Richardson in October 2020 after knee surgery and then a second surgery on her leg. She was 92 years of age then (now 93) and couldn't live on her own in a big house any longer. She had physiotherapy several times a week and has made a remarkable recovery, given her age. Nine months later, she has now settled in very well. The family is very happy that she is well looked after by the fantastic staff. There are activities and functions for residents nearly every day, even movies in the theatre. Happy hour and high teas are a regular event.
The meals are very good and plenty to eat.
Thank you to all the staff for their kindness and patience.
Very pleased with the courteous and respectful way everyone at The Richardson has helped my mother's transition to aged care. Also very impressed with the accommodation choices, with my mother opting for a really nice suite. I look forward to this (hopefully) continued quality and respectful lifestyle for mum.
