19 Advice - Check Expiry & Best Before Dates
I recently purchased 2L bottles of Pepsi Max from the Perth city store. I had two sips and discarded it. On looking at the best before date, I discovered it was 7 months past its best before date.
Upon informing their Service Dept. (Head Office), they advised me that there is no legislation that prevents them from selling products after their "Best Before" date (even by 7 mths). They went on to say that in times of focus on environment and waste, The Reject Shop prefer to sell rather than waste.
I explained to them that a customer pouring 6L of undrinkable Pepsi Max (sold at full retail price) down to the drain is what waste really is.
Also, by stating that legislation does not prevent them from selling a product after its best before date (even by 7 mths), it reflects poorly on their commitment to customer service and quality products.
As a consumer, I have felt that what should have been a business loss (stock too old), has been passed on to the customer.
Poor form by The Reject Shop.
Pity down so many steps, preventing older and less mobile people from entering, but then it may be you business model.
Just a pity the lift doesn't go down to that floor? Had to help an older lady down the steps with her little trolley
Always love this place.the store size never justifies the variety of items they have. Prize is always a bargain
Love this place go there every time I visit the centre and always buy their cards they are so cute
I go there quite a lot. The Reject shop is great for discount goods from beauty products to kitchen ware. They always have a great selection of sweets, cards and pet toys. To shop or browse it's always worth a visit.
Nice convenient store in the city but don't like going down the steps. Always a wide choice of stuff.
I was there in the morning today. It was my first time in this store, so obviously i didn’t know which side to wait for the check out as there was only one customer, who was getting served. But the staff (girl) was not very nice to me, she didn’t know how to speak with the customer and not very professional. Don’t judge people by looks.
Pity that the staff here seem miserable in their lives that the customers have to witness their impoliteness, rudeness and low esteem!
I've experienced lowest level of service in Perth but your team definitely is on top of the category
Only went there to get something specific which I got but ended up spending more. Customer service was excellent.
Lots of products we purchase from other stores are available at a discounted rate. Not bad at all.
Excellent spot to pick up odds and ends for a bargain. Much better than the $2 shop. Go below ground for some fun and useful bargain hunting.
Absolutely the worst service of any store in Perth. Was just there, Do they have any staff? Cause there was no one in the till when I was there, I put there stuff down and walked out. Truly do not bother, there really are much better retailers in the city.
I buy 100 pcs of wall here is 2 box for wall in i donate 35 wall to my work in creating stops blangkets for babies in i love it because i feel happy to donate to them is for charity
I use the reject shop for my site toiletries, chocolates and odds and ends! Convenient, central (City) and cheap!
Bric a brac, grab a present for someone, cheaper goods, as ll you need is loose change. Downside steep stairs, not wheelchair friendly
The Reject Shop is perfect for bargain hunters. If you are looking for reasonable and cheap prices, the Reject Shop is the place to go. It has a great range of bargain products from cosmetics, toiletries, and personal care, to kitchenware, housewares, hardware, basic pieces of furniture, confectionery and snack foods. They even have toys, cards, and home decorations. We went there last March 20,2018, to buy birthday party stuff for my grand daughter's party. The staffs were friendly. The shop is fairly small but it's tidy, clean, and well organized. The shop is open Mondays through Fridays from 8: 30 am to 6: 00 pm. On Saturdays it's open from 8: 30 am to 5: 00 pm, and on Sundays from 10: 30 am to 5: 00 pm.
If you don't mind functional over quality, and really reasonable and cheap prices, then this is pretty much the place to go.they have almost everything you need for the home, some hardware tools, some toys, some party needs, etc.staff here has generally been mostly friendly too.
