The Olde Shed Cafe / Mr Foster's reviews
39Incredible food. Best burger and chips I have ever had. Fast and great service. Truly talented staff.
Had a great breakfast here. I don't normally have the big breakfast, but after riding 40km from Nannup, decided to go the full hog and have the full cooked breakfast. It was great- I hardly needed to eat again that day. The mushrooms especially were very good.
Also a thank you to the staff for holding a rain jacket I left, until it could be picked up.
Had such a delicious lunch ~ the nachos didn't just look pretty but they tasted amazing, absolutely lovely space and staff.
Amazing service and delicious Mexican beans made vegan, very accommodating to dietary requirements. Hubby loved the meaty cheesy lasagna also- great place!
Best pepper steak pie in the state! We’ve travelled and sampled many but this is hands down the best.
The best little gem of a café in the South West. I tried a chicken & salad roll and it was, quite frankly, the best I’ve ever tasted in my time on this planet!
The roll was awesome, the chicken was warm and tasty and the salad was multi-layered, generous and wholesome; clearly made with care and fresh ingredients.
Well done Mr Foster, you and your staff are a credit to the region.
Also, the very interesting local history museum in the building was a surprising delight.
Excellent food, however as regular customers have found size of servings have virtually halved but at the same price.
We will continue to go there, but not as regular as there is no issue with the quality and cheery atmosphere.
This is one of my favourite places to eat out! The curry is just so nice, the service is always really lovely and the coffee is great. I also really like the vibe and the fairy wrens that hop about.
The food is so delicious, flavoursome and fresh. A lot of love and care put into each dish. We had the Thai pumpkin soup, beef burger and chips and of course the amazing pies are the best! We always love the pies here, never disappoints — humble and honest food.
I recently had the pleasure of stumbling upon Mr Foster's Cafe while exploring an unfamiliar city, and let me tell you, it was an absolute delight. From the moment I stepped inside, the enticing aromas and lively atmosphere captured my heart.
I had the opportunity to try their chicken cheese and salad roll, and oh my, it was a masterpiece. The combination of perfectly grilled chicken, creamy cheese, and fresh salad created a symphony of flavors that left me craving more. It truly showcased the love and passion that went into crafting each dish.
Beyond the incredible food, Mr Foster's Cafe holds a deeper significance. It serves as a bridge between cultures, connecting people through shared culinary experiences. Each bite holds the essence of a community and a glimpse into the stories and traditions of its creators.
The service at the cafe was exceptional, with a friendly staff that made me feel welcome and valued. The coffee was also top-notch, complementing the delectable dishes perfectly.
If you find yourself wandering through unfamiliar streets, let your gut lead you to hidden gems like Mr Foster's Cafe. It's in these moments of culinary exploration that we truly come alive, embracing the thrill of the unknown and savoring every delicious bite of the human experience.
Oh, and did I mention the fairy wrens that hop about? They add an extra touch of magic to an already incredible dining experience. Don't miss out on this fantastic place!

Great food. Amazing service. Staff and owner super friendly. When we arrived in Balingup we couldn't get into our bnb Mr Foster fixed that with a phone call then made us a magnificent late lunch even though kitchen had closed. It was so nice to have a cool place to wait for our bnb. We will be back to Mr Fosters.
We stopped in here for something quick on our way to bunbury and boy are we glad we did. The pies were delicious. We ordered the beef mince, steak and onion and curried chicken pie (my favorite) and they were delicious, the pastry was flaky and the fillings so good. This will now be our regular place to stop when travelling through Balingup!
The Malaysian Beef Curry and Seychelles Fish Curry were excellent, - best ever! Well worth the long drive! And the service was good, - friendly and helpful! Lovely outdoor dining!
Stopped in for lunch on our little get away best pie I have had in for ages amazing pastry and so meaty. Our group also tried the sausage rolls and were impressed with the pastry and fillings. Even though breakfast had finished they made waffles for my son such great service and amazing coffee also
Gluten free section of the cake cabinet with an assortment of cakes. I had the sticky date pudding served with icecream, cream and caramel sauce. Delicious!
I ordered a small nachos.
The flavour of the tomato was bitter.
I wondered if it was out of date.
I needed to buy a drink at a shop to get rid of the taste.
The cheese was barely melted.
I wasn't able to eat much of it.
I recommend you research a better nachos dish or take it off your menu.
My fork was dirty too.
Mr Foster's is a real treat. We had the sharing platter, and it was fantastic - full of local produce and added bits and pieces.
Fantastic little spot for a delicious lunch. If you need a pit stop, do yourself a favour.
We just have the most delicious, amazing, scrumptious meal from Brian, you are a magician, Thankyou sooooo much, Yum, Yum! ️?
Great vibe, great music and great food. They can feel free to rename the “deconstructed minestrone” to “artfully constructed minestrone.
Great coffee too.
