The Morley Local

Came here for a birthday dinner for my father.
It's been many years since we came here for a meal, but on first impressions i have to say it did not disappoint.
The general ambience is good and caters to various needs, whether it's watching sport, or having a yarn with good company.
After ordering our meals, I was blown away by the warmth and hospitality shown to us.
On three separate occasions over a period of time eating our meals, waitresses and possibly someone who appeared to be a manager all came up and asked us how our meals were and to let us know if there's anything else we need.
Having worked in customer service before, I felt this was wonderful as you felt valued as a customer and not just a name and a number.

I would highly recommend this local pub if your ever around the Morley area. We all enjoyed the meals and service and thankyou to the management team for a well run venue and top notch customer service.

Took ma out for lunch, fish and chips and salad and a chicken parmi chips and salad and a few beers with your ma, great way to spend a bit time doing things I love to do.eat.
Great looking menu try something new next time.

Our. Family is very happy with the Morley local. I once managed the blockbuster next door and it was my local. The upgrades that they have done are perfect and now has life in the pub like it used to. All the children ate well and had a ball in the playground. And we loved the ribs and parmi.
It has a great atmosphere now and the staff are fantastic friendly and happy. Good vibes great night. Thank you

Sadly at $32 the steak sandwich was terrible …. We did not let you know in Venue as per your reply as staff were not available

Food was ok not impressed with the bar staff not very welcoming and they can't even make a lemon lime and bitters properly comes out a post mix, and also bad fire engine drinks for the kids, legit the basic non alcoholic drinks for a pub you expect better,
It was on mother's day and the person at the bar who did our drinks was female and I said don't you make them from scratch and she said no.i literally asked her to make me 1 lemon lime and bitters properly and she said no,

Took my 85 yo Mum for Mothers Day lunch. Met at the entry which was excellent and, as usual, lovely food and service. Probably my 4th or 5th visit. Well worth a look.

We feel at home and amongst family whenever we come here. We are always given the best service by Ryan, Jacob and the team. Food is great and I love the half size options. Such a vibing place to go with family or friends!

Was looking forward to dining here but we left very disappointed. Staff were friendly but unfortunately the food was underwhelming and not good.

I love this place! The inside is so clean and modern. The food is amazing
- big portions, good prices and always delicious. The service is always above and beyond expectations. Love the outdoor kids play area too. They really cater for all ages. Will happily come here time and time again.

Good place to watch the UFC but got charged 17$ a pint of ginger beer. I can see why they're not as busy as the other. Dammmmn $17 was expensive

I have eaten here now 5 times. The first time was great. Must have been close to the opening. Service was good. Now service is not what I expect from a pricy $$$ pub meal. I could pay a little more and good food and service just around the corner. However, the last 4 times there has been a decline in food quality. It appears they might have apprentice cooks with no chef in the kitchen over seeing things. Why send out sub standard food? Don't they taste what they cook? Crispy over cooked parma's, tough chewy steak and battered fish not done well. I could go on. I won't be back.

I used to frequent the Ale House years ago. The new renovations are top notch, lots of space and great service

Loved it. Great meal, steaks cooked to perfection. Great service from all the staff and I swear our meal came out freshly cooked before I even got back to the table. In fact, I’m writing this review while still in the restaurant because I feel I need to reciprocate the good service. Much like the terminator, I’ll be back.

Edit: Three weeks later, I said I’d be back, asta la vista here I am. The Morley Local? More like ‘a really nice restaurant with reasonable prices and brilliant service’. Hats off to this fine establishment. Much like customers of Apu Nahasapeemapetilon, I feel inclined to come again.

Edit: You know what time it is. Im back baby. Chicken schnitty this time, we’re talking golden brown, we’re talking delicious chips, we’re talking meal came out fresh and hot in about 10 minutes. I’m waiting for the day this place slips up, but baby they just keep swingin’. Morley Local? More like really good restaurant that has won over my patronage. Much like the King in the third Lord of the Rings movie, I will return.

Convenient venue with good choices of food available. We found the service not quite as caring as we like it, and orders have to be placed at the bar. But we would go back again.

Just went there for the Melbourne cup. It was good with the food and drinks. They did apologise about the food coming late, cuz of over ording, but I think everyone was more interesting on the race, but after all that was good.

Thank you thank you lovely atmosphere, lovely food, great seating, AWESOME staff, the lovely manager is doing a great job. All The staff were SIMPLY DELIGHTFUL. We will for sure be going back.

Booked for 30 people for my birthday.
Asked to have the area near the roller door as numbers could have been more and asked for 2 long low tables and 2 high tables confirmed via email as numbers had grown. Arrived and 2 other tables had been booked in that area and they wanted us to move our table of to the side so we would be kinda split up.plus had only allocated one low table which wasn't suitable staff helped moved the other bookings but still endeded up having to use an additional low table as older people couldn't get on the high tables which is why we requested 2 low tables food was great everyone had a ball and will be back. Might just need some work around ure bookings and a little work around clearing glassware and plates off tables as ours didnt get cleared. Service was friendly, fast and efficient.
All round a good experience and will definitely come back! Great steak BTW

Fair pricing. The chicken burger lacked a bit of flavour but the surf and turf was really good. Kids meal was ok too. Best part is u cannsit outside near a heater and dine while the kids play at the play area.overall good for a pub meal.
