The Miners Rest Motel

I've been a customer here on and off for the past 2 years (due to being FIFO based here) and can wholeheartedly say the Miners Rest has to be some of the best accommodation, as a whole, i've stayed at, in Western Australia.
The food is some of the best tasting, reasonably priced in Kalgoorlie, and is often busy with non-guest customers backing this claim. The kitchen does outstanding work and keeps the food quality to the highest of standards and at a reasonably fast output, consistently.
The location is almost perfect, not too close to the main hannans street strip, yet not too far away either.
Overall, the Miners Rest Motel is an excellent location to rest up, and i would highly recommend it to my friends and family.

Had lunch at the restaurant-Beef satay noodles and a diet coke.

Good portion sizes and reasonably priced.

Absolutely shocking service. Expect cold showers and an even colder reception from the staff. My one-star recommendation is extremely generous.

Had a couple of nights here a while ago and the staff are friendly, the beer is cold and the pub meals are delicious, thank you Miners Rest Motel.

The rooms were clean although the shower/bath could have done with a good scrub. We wore our thongs when we showered.
The staff at the reception desk were very helpful and friendly I just wish I had of been told that breakfast was not an option when I booked as we didn't have a car to travel to the motel down the road.

Basic accommodation and really just minimum viable quality rooms for workers only, not travellers.

Don't cater for smokers as your required to get off the property and stand in an driveway/ alleyway
Other pubs at least offer an outdoor area where you can take your drink and smoke

Great service, Great food and the rooms are clean and we'll maintain, I enjoy my stay here.

An expert restaurant with highly caring staff. We attended on 20th September and enjoyed the quiz night thoroughly. The food presented was not only tasty but well presented.

We also appreciated the high quality of accommodation and hospitality from all staff at The Miners Rest Motel. The beds were very comfortable as well as quiet and well appointed.

I would highly recommend this establishment for both tourists and business people alike.

Had the BBQ Ribs. The ribs were cooked nicely and the sauce was delicious. The cob of corn on the side was cold, barely even warm which was a turn off. The sweet potato chips were decent as they did seem to be a bit undercooked. Had the Sticky date pudding as a desert, and it was delicious, especially the caramel sauce. 4/5 would recommend to friends, but the corn was cold: (

I phone booked a room directly with Miners Rest Motel Kalgoorlie (outside school holidays) and was charged $160 per night. The room was clean and in reasonable repair but old and tired. I was disappointed with the room for the rate charged. Also, that our bed was not made up following our first night. Whilst there I became aware that similar rooms at the motel were being offered from $125 per night (sign on the verge out the front). Reception would not agree to any reduction to my booked rate. I felt cheated and annoyed and will not return to this motel.

The meals prices have gone up a lot, no longer offer veg and mash with steaks unless you pay $15 more.as the name says miners rest (people eat here for majority of year) and your inclusive meals no longer allow for this. Bring back the old menu that was 10 times better and not just salad chips with most meals.

My wife and kids ate here for lunch.for a pub feed we were not impressed at all
overpriced for what you get

the kids menu portion sizes are more aimed at 3-5 year olds
my 10 year old ordered a cheeseburger, and it was absolutely TINY
about the width of a coke can, small piece of meat, and cheese and very small portion of chips
thought he was going to eat the plate it came on he was still hungry

i ordered a pub classic, chicken parmigiana.was absolutely gobsmacked when asked if i wanted to pay an extra $2 for ham.its a pub parmigiana, its always meant to have ham on it
to further infuriate me the ham that came with my parmigiana was 1 single slice of thin ham from a regular packet of ham from woolworths or coles.
$2 for that.the size of the parmigiana was consistent with normal pub feeds
still tasted good

my wife went the chicken burger, and opted to add the $4 avocado.lucky she did, the burger wasn't that good in size or taste, her words were "if there wasn't avocado on this burger id swear that they got it from KFC"

this pub was recommended by friends who said it was great, maybe they had a good day,
we didn't enjoy it

plenty of other places in Kalgoorlie that offer good pub grub at good prices

We ate in the restaurant and were impressed. Large choice, large portions (even the light bites). Pizza was fresh and delicious. Everything had some sort of side salad, even the sides. Friendly service and quick.

Had an overnight stay at Miners Rest - was amazing! Room was clean & bright. Staff were friendly & very helpful. The food was exceptional! Thank you!

This motel is aimed more at accommodation for mining personnel but it is clean and the food in the restaurant is good, the room rate is reasonable, and the staff are very professional, friendly and helpful. If you're passing through or working in Kalgoorlie you could do worse.

Huge meals, all delicious. Kids meals were also generous and not just a choice of fish nchips or nuggets

It is a nice place to stay only been here for a couple hours but feels like home away from home and they do a package where you can have a meal in the restaurant.

A local recommended this place and we only wish we had run into her earlier for this advice.
Service was great, all the staff were friendly and the chef exceeded our expectations.
Oh if you like cheese the fried mozzarella sticks were perfect starter
Wife ordered the grilled Barramundi and I had the steak sandwich. I'll be coming back to try that Barramundi myself.
Prices are very reasonable

Can never fault the service and the food that is served. Staff are wonderful with the help and the served give. Pat on the back to you all.
