The Market Place Mt Lawley IGA reviews
19As far as an IGA goes. This is pretty great. I live about half way between the Highgate IGA and Highgate Woolies, and I will openly admit I enjoy going to IGA far more. The quality of veggies is great, the meat is fantastic though this is a much smaller shop. But for what it is I can not fault it
Shopped there for 25 years and they asked to check my bag yesterday. They have no signs at the shop front to advise they may ask to see in your bag. Well done for treating your customers like thieves. Better off going to fresh provisions, they treat their customers with dignity. I WONT BE BACK
The staff are always lovely this is nothing against them and I understand they have no control over any of this.
This place really need to short their produce out. So many things are a day off of being out of date that aren’t marketed down and if they are it’s a 1-3 dollars max. The prices are extremely expensive! The lest that could be done would insure dates where checked regularly.
I love this IGA and especially when Jasmine is at the counter! Jasmine is nothing but sweet and professional! Hands down the best and makes the grocery runs enjoyable!
The store is clean and decent prices
I enjoy going to this IGA as it is nicely layout out; feeling fresh, clean and stylish. Most importantly they have a great range of different products and fresh produce, with some unique items not seen in other IGA stores. Prices are good. Staff are friendly. Paid parking is at back of store, with first hour free. Highly recommend!
I have changed my 3-star rating to 5 now. The new store fit out, their range and the service is top notch!
A nice store but what are with the bread prices in mount lawley, nothing under 3 bucks. Also no half loaves but that's pretty standard unfortuantely. I guess iga doesn't have its own homebrand bread like Coles and Woolies
Great IGA. Just First Class. Am a regular, enjoy doing my food shopping here. Fresh fruit and vegetables. Excellent choice of speciality items as well as all the main items too. Very impressed. Big 10 out of 10.
Whoever that manager was working on Monday night 2nd August is absolutely disgusting, shouting at customers to get out at 8: 58pm at night.
No announcement over the PA to say they will be closing. I was in the aisle with my friend and she yelled at us to get out, not mention customers at the door trying to come in and also other customers inside the store.
I will never got back to this shop.
Whoever this manager is should not be doing this job. There are ways of speaking to customers to let them know when you are closing and this was definitely not it the way.
Great range of products from everyday brands to bouqitue ones. Shelves are well stocked and presented as well
Friendly Staff and a great range of products with free one hour parking, Shop Local recommends shopping at The Market Place IGA Mt Lawley

Despite the recent revamp I would not buy meat from here. Multiple times I’ve taken the meat home to find that it’s past it’s expiry or just off. When I’ve gone back for a refund staff don’t know how to refund back to card and insist on taking cash. My recommendation to the manager is to train your staff better on rotation of perishable stock and to teach them how to comply with consumer law in regard to refund and returns.
Coles and Woolworth's could learn so much from these guys as to how to treat a customer! 10/10 nicest staff ever.
The new renovations have really opened up the store, and it now has a lot more choices. However, there is a unfortunate lack of gluten free options these days.
This is the IGA on Beaufort St opposite "The Flying Scotsman". Half of the reviews are for the IGA on Second Avenue. Please don't be a dill and review the wrong IGA store. This one is a shabby old store with poor product selection. It's not much more than a corner store, but without any charm. The place you shop for bare basics and emergencies only.
Went to this store yesterday and went to the checkout to find the gloves the checkout attendant was wearing a cream pair of latex gloves that seemed that have turned a lovely shade of brown. He stated he needed to change them at some point and was only wearing them for his safety. It's disappointing to see it was obvious that he didn't show great self hygeine and avoiding the spread of germs particularly during a time where a pandemic is fast spreading. Management should probably educate stuff on proper hand washing between each transaction for the sake of vulnerable customers. Won't be back
I think this store requires renovation, I did find nothing special about this particular IGA. The place is not busy but, if more than 6-7 people wait for check out, the other is open so this is nice. I never wait long to be served. Also friendly staff. Meats section is not impressive, it is just kind of store you pop in when you run out of milk for instance.
Great IGA. Great fruit and vegetables. Excellent choice of main shopping items too. Very impressed.
