The Lip Lab

Overall it was an OK experience, but I don't feel I got $125 worth of value. The products themselves are very good and the staff were friendly enough. With some small changes to improve flow, communication and noise I would be happy to pay that amount, but as it stands I don't think it's worth it.

I was disappointed with my LipLab experience, for several reasons.
1. I purchased a mix your own gift voucher but there was no way to book online using the voucher, I had to contact the team directly
2. It was very unclear what was included in the voucher ($125per person) and what wasn't. For example, others in the studio at the same time were offered bubbles but we weren't. Additives in lipstick were still extra ($4ea or 3 for $10) I would have thought $125 would cover both additives and Prosecco!
3. We arrived a couple of minutes early for our booking but weren't greeted when we arrived and the room was full. We waited outside for the previous session to finish but when our start time came and went I went inside to "announce" that we were there for a booking and the other party wete moved around to give us space. When we finally got seated there wasn't any acknowledgement of the fact that we were starting late.
4. The noise in the small studio was extreme. We could barely hear the Mixologist giving our instructions when she was sitting across the table from us. I would suggest some baffles need to be installed to reduce the noise, or the team shouldn't book two parties in at the same time. It was not a good experience with a bridal party of 5 or 6 laughing and yelling in the same room.
5. There also wasn't really much discussion of "colour theory" or matching to skin tone, despite the description of the experience online. Essentially we we described colours and were instructed on which pigments to add and how to mix them together. I was expecting to learn a bit more.

We went as a group of ladies, to share an experience and have a fun afternoon of laughs and friendship. We had the best experience. Not only were the staff exceptional in their explanations of all the various applications but they had a great insight into our personal styles and what we were looking for.eg. Day v night, shades, texture. This was my second time at The Lip Lab and I will be back. Absolutely love it.

I really enjoyed with my Lip Lab experience! Gaby was very knowledgable and made me feel comfortable throughout. The whole process was fun and I would definitely re-order the foundation and lipstick we created.

Such an awesome experience. A lot of fun creating our own lipsticks. Thoroughly enjoyed the process of learning about blending colours and then creating our own colours, and then adding finishing touches with shimmer and scent. Lovely staff who wrangled some overly excited girls through the process!

Their website is not up to date as they don't do foundation and concealer workshops at moment. Although I enjoyed the experience of having my custom-made lipstick, I would warn Entertainment Values holders to beware of them requesting for deposit first as they will take off 20%off not from session cost but of second & final payment only. They will not warn you beforehand when you make initial booking and advised your intention to use EV. Best to go there in person, book, pay full cost in advance and show EV to get 20%off any regular service.

We came for the ‘bubbles and nibbles’ package for a friends birthday. The ladies really looked after us and we all loved choosing our lipsticks! They were patient with changes we made and we were all really happy.
My friend mentioned that she wanted her lipstick for that evening, and because you can’t use the lipstick for the first 24 hours after it’s made, they gave her a mini one for her to use that night at her event which she was so happy with thanks so much ladies!

A girlfriend took me to The Lip Lab Mullaloo for my birthday. I had a specific colour and texture in mind and the finished product was better than expected. Such a fun thing to do.

Was such a fun and different experience with some friends! We all created our own individual lipstick color! It was awesome to watch the hole process! Definitely do it create yourself something unique to only you!

Absolutely love my customised foundation, as a mature woman with very pale skin I always found it hard to get the perfect shade which didnt make me look washed out. I now have the most perfect hydrating foundation which I wear everyday and people compliment how fresh I look. Also the ability to just email or call and they remake it perfectly the same is awesome. Thanks girls so much

My daughter and I loved every moment of our MYO! Such a friendly bunch of women, fun and really knowledgeable. The hour went quick but we had so much fun. Loved our lips and glosses! Thank you definitely be back for more!

I came back for a colour correction for one of my lipsticks & one of the girls was really nice & she took her time to really make sure the colour was as close to the original! She literally got it the same colour so I’m stoked about that! Thank you so much!

Had a great time finding a unique lipstick blend! The technician that did mine was really good, very knowledgeable! Would love to come back with a crew for next time, would be so fun!

I created my own lipstick here with Amy and she was amazing. I told her what I wanted and she got the perfect shade in the first go. She did so well explaining everything and made the experience very enjoyable. I will definitely be heading back there in future! I highly recommend booking with Amy. Her expertise and customer service was exceptional.

I surprised my best friend with a trip to liplab for her birthday earlier in the year, the ladies at liplab Perth are gorgeous human beings and really made her day! We also enjoyed bubbles and a delicious platter as part of our package. Very impressed with the experience!

Had my 1st experience at The Lip Lab today having a custom lipstick made and can't wait to go back. The service was Perfect and the outcome is Amazing! Highly recommended:)
