Dr Riaz did my ACL and meniscus tear surgery 5 months ago. I already feel my knee being fully recovered so can't wait for full 1 year (recommended time) to be in the squash court again.
I found him very professional, caring and skillful. I hope no body ever needs to go through knee surgery but if you have to, then I highly recommend him.

I would like to thank Professor Riaz Khan for a wonderful knee replacement. From beginning to end there was a great display of competence and care. I would highly recommend Riaz and his team to anyone.

I underwent a total knee replacement operation during middle of October 2022 with Prof Riaz Khan. He advised that I would 'hate' him until 3 months after the operation and then appreciate him. You were wrong Prof Khan. I appreciated you 6 weeks after the operation. Prof Khan did a brilliant job.
Now 3 months after the operation I have no pain. I am walking normally without a limb and one can barely see the scar.
Prof Khan and his team have done an excellent job. I highly recommend Prof Khan as your surgeon. His confidence and caring nature put you at ease right from the word go and then he lets his skill do the talking. The entire process was well managed and support was always available. Thank you Prof Khan. I shall be back for my other knee replacement in no time.

I would like to thank all the staff at the joint studio for a wonderful experience, I really enjoyed working with you, I would like to say a big thank you to my fantastic surgeon Riaz khan, not only is a great man he’s a great surgeon, I can’t thank you enough for my experience, after my ACL Reconstruction now I’m moving again, with out any trouble nice job team I would recommend to anyone who is in need.

I saw Dr Khan 4 yrs ago, he did my hip replacement surgery. My life changed for the better since then! He knows what he is doing, Can't thank him enough! Definitely recommend him

Dan is simply the best! I have had very successful hip and knee replacements over the last 5 months, using the least invasive and most advanced methods. Dan is unfailingly caring and compassionate as is his entire team. He treats the whole person, recognising that a successful recovery is as much about confidence and optimism as it is about the procedure. I had three health complications that could have impeded my recovery, but instead of sending me back to my GP Dan referred me to excellent specialists. Follow-up lasts for 3 months, so I have always felt supported. Simply the best!

I just had a hip arthroscopy procedure by Dr Daniel Fick at The Joint Studio and couldn't be happier with my whole experience with them. The whole team that was involved in my care were so kind and caring. They made me feel super comfortable.
Dr Fick even came to see me after surgery to explain how it all went (I have never had this before in the public sector). He is an extremely kind and compassion man, has to be my favourite medical professional I have ever seen (and I have seen A LOT).
I highly recommend The Joint Studio. Everyone I have dealt with there, including reception staff have been a delight.

I had been putting off Double knee replacements for a number of years. Dan's experience and advice prior, during and after made me think "why did it hold off for so long". The daily text messages were so spot on with their advice and tips, it felt like the Joint Studio team were in my space helping me personally. It is a rollercoaster, Dan doesn't sugar coat what he is going to do and it will be a struggle but follow their advice, do the exercises and you will come out the other end better, stronger and able to walk. Dan Fick completed bilateral partial knee replacements for me over a year ago now. I’ve never met a man able to instill more confidence in a patient. I’ve gone from being a able to walk no more then a few hundred metres to no restrictions and running around with the kids.
He’s a miracle worker.
Could not recommend highly enough.

In March 2019 I underwent a left knee replacement operation. By September 2019 it was apparent that the operation was not successful as the pain was worse than before and I could not walk unaided. The surgeon advised after extensive x-rays and imaging that the interval fitted to the new joint was incorrect and it could be corrected with a minor procedure that would involve a hospital stay of 4 days. During the procedure in November 2019 it was discovered that some screws in the joint had become loose so this was also fixed.
The wound then became swollen with a staph infection which took 8 further operations to clean and close up and meant I had to stay in hospital a further 29 days.
I am in constant pain and can only get about with the help of a four wheel walking frame. I have now no independent mobility and the Joint Studio provides no support other than a prescription for pain killers for my constant pain.

I have not been offered any remedial assistance such as physiotherapy or hydrotherapy to improve my handicap and the Joint Studio has been allowed to destroy what were to have been my golden years in retirement to that of one of a pathetic, hobbling cripple, for which there appear to be little or non medical malpractice consequence. The strain that the failed medical procedure has put on my marital relationship is beyond description.

As reviews are intended to assist and provide advice to prospective users of a service, it is important to be aware of the ramifications of posting an unfavorable review following surgery involving 'devastating complications'. I have been abandoned by the Joint Studio as a result of my truthful and factual account of my experiences and at a time, when I most needed their care and assistance, I have been pushed under a bus and told that the Joint Studio will not be continuing any further care for me. I post the additional pictorial story to show that time does not heal an invasive, disastrous, surgical procedure.

The rear view photos show part of the left leg calf muscle that was hacked off without consent to replace the infected tissue that was removed from the knee.

As a former professional athlete and Olympian, I have consulted with many orthopedic surgeons over the years about my knee injuries until I came across Dr. Fick. He provided me with an unprecedented option which I never knew existed. Dr. Fick explained what a “knee resurfacing” was and why I would be a great candidate for such a procedure.

With a knee model in hand and my knee scan on the computer monitor, Dr. Fick demonstrated how my procedure would take place and what the likely result will yield (many more years of pain free knees, being able to play basketball again with my boys and friends socially, being able to Latin dance all I want as long as I stay away from long distance running such marathons). He also noted, since the inserts are modular, tune-up will be easy if needed but he does not anticipated such a likelihood.

To my pleasant surprise, Dr. Fick had a whole team of other medical professionals on board to provide me with the best pre-op and post-op care.

I was out of hospital 5 days after my surgery. Another 7 days later I was moving around without crutches. Any instructions and information I received from Dr. Fick pre and post-op, were as effective and helpful as intended.

Dr. Fick’s Nurse Penny followed up with me after my wound dressing to ensure that all is well and that my new medications are aiding with my recovery. Joanna at the front desk recognises my voice over the phone when I ring with my queries. It feels as though I was interacting with my teammates.

Now 6 weeks into my recovery, I’m driving myself to my physio sessions, helping my son with his Taekwondo patterns. The result of my improvement to date stems from the care, guidance and support of my Physio Therapist Kristen. She is as knowledgeable as they come. Her guidance and support – simply priceless. Thank you Dr. Fick for matching me with the right Physio Therapist.

The most encouraging aspect of my recovery is receiving those daily text messages from Dr. Fick. Those messages make me feels as though as I was in his room every morning going over my milestones to date, what to expect going forward and how best to approach my next mile.

I can't thank you enough Dr Fick. Almost 7 years of countless scans, numerous doctor diagnosis, and depression but no solutions. I almost gave up! You made everything possible! I can finally start my life again.

A very disappointed customer who could not get a simple response after several phone calls and emails. After a $5,000 bill. I would have thought it would be easy enough to get a simple initial on a modified form I needed for my employer during post op recovery. After 8 days waiting I had to get another doctor to complete the simple form. Very disappointed after such a huge expense.

Checked out of hospital after 1.5 days. Full hip replacement by riaz khan. Pain free within hours. Nearly 3 years down the track not one problem. These guys are the best anywhere. In the words of Molly meldrum do yourself a favour and call here first.

I had my left hip resurfaced 2 years ago and started running again after 3 months, I have now completed 4 marathons without any problems. I have just had surgery on my right knee and am hoping to be able to run the Singapore marathon in December.

I would recommend professor Khan to anyone who needs a brilliant surgeon who understood what I wanted from my surgery and did the best he could to make it happen.

My surgeon, Daniel Fick, personally guided me through the entire process, including the preoperative measures to alleviate the joint pain and strengthen the muscles, the surgical and hospitalisation processes and the post surgical rehabilitation.

After only six weeks after surgery, the results have exceeded my highest expectations. I am walking comfortable with no pain in either knee.

The Joint Studio have an amazing team and an extensive support network and I would unconditionally recommend them to anyone in need of orthopedic treatment.
