The Hollow Beach reviews
44 Great atmosphere, excellent service. Drinks reasonable. Food a little pricey for what you get compared to other venues.
Would of given 5 but for price reason have given 4
Great place, best view of the ocean while sipping a wine or beer and enjoying great food from the better than pub-food menu.
Good venue. Ok food.experience ruined by by Chef that was too busy having an attitude over masks to cook our food.
Waitstaff not interested when I replied to the how was your meal
Sauce on the ribs was burnt should not have left the kitchen
Gnocchi was dry possibly the previous days
I could go on
Table of six, three meals went back with two thirds left
The chef came out but hid behind the bar
Over priced, poorest quality worst meal in Bunbury
Pushed into ordering meal, kitchen closing at seven thirty
Do not waste your money
Perfect location ruined by sub par “food”
If I could give zero I would
Possibly the worst burgers we have ever had. Especially the vegie burger. Bread rolls dry, patty dry, not tasty at all. Hardly any ingredients on the burgers. Didn't taste like much. They had run out of 3 of the tapas on the menu and the fish and chips. Good view. Will go back for a beverage not for food.
Went to the hollow for lunch 40 plus outside 46 inside no discount won't be in a hurry to go back one drink and left
Absolutely no parking. My husband ordered a fillet Mignon and what he got wasn't that. Very average and tough. I have dietary problems and had to change 1 thing in my order which they stuffed up and had to take it back after the girl that took the order was the one that messed up. Our orange juice wasn't cold at all. Food was over priced. Won't be going back.
No music. No live music, no dj, just screens everywhere and footy.
Was dissapointed didn't know my Mums friends sold the joint it was much better before. Sorry.
Also my friend got scammed, they poured three whiskey shots in one glass and charged $30 when he only asked for two I had to pay for it because then his card got blocked and then he had to pay me back.
When I complained the bar staff girl and guy laughed at us, I think this is due to him being from Kenya. Me and him talked about peoples behaviour in the pub. So guys, no offense intended but watch your racism!
Very nice guy from papa new guinea talked to me and my friend as we were leaving, he was friendly and polite. He is a keeper for any bar and made up for the other" mishaps. "
Thanks, hope to visit again with friends and hear live music or nice music on the house speakers at least, because the place itself in nice and it's a gorgeous location.
Had fun playing pool, thank-you for giving us chalk from the bar.
Awesome food and great staff
Went for anniversary and loved the free glass of bubbles
Will definitely be back
Popped up believing it would be good to have a meal based on exterior however Smokers as you walk through front door enclosed patio kind of thing loud no suitable kids I reckon.it appears to a local watering hole.thats no a bad thing just the smoking as you walk in really put me off.
Found hair in both mine and my partners food food. Spoke to a bar attendant and was confronted by another worker. Otherwise food was good.
Overlooking the ocean this is a very nice place for lunch on a sunny afternoon. Be prepared because you won't achieve much after. Menu has something for everyone and very generous portions. The staff are pleasant and bubbly. Parking is a bit tight but I've never had a problem
Tried multiple tapas meals here today the prawns were delicious along with the steak burger. The calamari was nice but could have done with a little more flavor although they were fresh and cooked perfectly. Staff were great and the views of the beach were awesome
Absolutely disappointing.told oysters were like Kirkpatricks but came out raw with a lil sauce (there blend) then order scallops to replace and told they were cooked but were raw.again disappointed.spent $70 on food to share a bowl of chips n garlic bread between 3 people.
I suggest heading to the Parade hotel for a decent feed.
From a unhappy family disappointed in monies spent
We really enjoyed our lunchtime meal & drinks @ The Hollow. Highly recommended.friendly atmosphere and fabulous views!
Amazing food. Just wish they didn't take off the chicken bao buns they were my favourite thing to eat off their menu
Beautiful venue great view. Food was overpriced considering the quality. Not quite the original hungry Hollow!
The best food at reasonable prices. Bit noisy as you might expect in a busy tavern. A cacaphony!
The manager was lovely but a couple of young silly girls were being very noisy and causing attention to themselves. Not cool.
Friendly staff, friendly service, friendly relaxed atmosphere with great food to boot. Who could ask for anything more! My friend and I often go to the Hollow for dinner so that we can sit and watch the beautiful sunset whilst enjoying great company, great service and great atmosphere. Brownie and Anna do a fantastic job organising functions n staff n security n all that tremendously terrific and tasty gourmet food. The Hollow is fast becoming my favourite foodie venue AND being an "oldie" I really do enjoy mixing it with the "youngies". I have even met up with kids I used to teach, many, many moons ago. That's really fun for me; meeting up with kids I used to teach when they were 8 years old are now adults with kids of their own. OMG.shhh.don't tell anyone but I am really showing my age here, hey!
