The Good Pizza

WOW just WOW.just what the neighbourhood needed. Dined at Good Pizza on a balmy night, went next door to the bottle shop and grabbed a beautiful pet nat (chilled red) and ended up staying for a couple hours sharing pizza and laughs with friends. The atmosphere was electric and Gian Luca would have to be one of the most knowledgeable pizza chefs in Australia. Hats off to you Good Pizza. Already salivating at the thought of our next visit.

Came on a busy Friday night with my partner and there was a massive hype queue, the staff were doing great to try and keep up with the demand and were very friendly.we got the Hawaiian pizza (tongue in cheek named as "wrong" pizza) and The Hottest flavour, the top of the pizza ended up being burnt for the Hawaiian and the base ended up soggy and too thin.we appreciated that the base is entirely handmade and the staff were spinning the dough fresh on premises, however the end result is still not quite to our liking with an unsatisfying amount of toppings, especially considering the price ($24 for Wrong and $27 for The Hottest!). Maybe the quality will improve with time, this place is still new.there seem to be good reviews for the lunch items so maybe those are better too.

Unfortunately, this is the worst pizza I’ve ever had. A friend and I ordered two pizzas and could only manage a slice of each before we gave up. Dough was too heavy (felt like it was going to stick in your guts like concrete), toppings were skimpy, and flavour was too dominated by the base sauce (one was tomato, one was garlic). I might have let this slide, had we not paid $63 for 2 pizzas. The area is surrounded by much better joints that deliver better value for money with tastier and more generous pizzas. Wanted to give the new place a shot, but won’t be returning.

Great service, they made the wrong pizza by mistake, but we're happy to offer a new one made up quickly, then gave me both pizzas at no extra cost. Great woodfired taste.

Ordered a lunch time Terrona pizza slice, was cold even though they ‘heated up’ tasted bland, disappointing!

My husband has been getting pizzas here for the last couple of weeks. The pizzas are always amazing and he always describes the staff as very passionate and friendly.:)

Nice pizzas and nice service. Seafood pizza had quality seafood. Pizza dough just needs a slight tweak thicker. Also sells Gusto ice-cream!

Make no mistake, this is one of the best pizza and sandwich shops in the entire country. Tried the vegetarian sandwich, the vegetarian pizza and the Margherita pizza, and I plan on coming back again. And again. And again.

This is real, authentic Italian cooking, made with genuine care, and it shows. I hope the owners are proud of the food, because they should be.

Been here a few times and have enjoyed their pizza quality and friendly service. Today however, I was the only person in the queue and kept getting told that I would be served in a moment. Which was fine as I saw how busy this assistant was. Other customers had arrived after me and the moment we were ready to be served he immediately serves another customer instead of asking "who's next? "
No other choice than for me to just walk out in disappointment. I really like the pizza but I doubt I'd go back.

The words that have exemplified my partner and I's first and second visits to the good pizza. If you're a palmyra local or just on the hunt for italian classics with italian portions like how your nonna makes, this should be a go to.

First visit we had the vegetarian pizza. The young lady had fantastic customer service and even asked the kitchen to delay the order due to my partner running behind on meeting me there. While I waited for him to arrive, I overheard the whole kitchen mingling with a newly arrived polish family.

The team at good pizza were so welcoming and chatted with the family, even opening up beers the family had from adjacent cellar store.

The pizza itself shared the same warmth and love. Beautiful char, a chewy but smooth base, a sweet and slightly acidic sauce - lord give me strength. The most fascinating part was even after 4 slices each, neither my partner or I felt that heavy greasy feeling you get normally get after pizza.

The second visit built on the first. Ever had a sandwich where the bread disintegrated into the fillings? You won't find that here. The bread was once again a star, soft and chewy yet firm enough that the entire sandwich stayed cohesive to the last bite.

Come here, have some great food, follow it up with a drink or some ice cream and spend 10 minutes writing an essay of the majesty of bloody good pizza.

Great new pizza joint. The lovely lady who served us was very pleasant, brought my toddler out stickers and was very quick to serve us. The kid's loved the pizza and the gelato icecream! We will be back for dinner)

Didn't enjoy the pizza. The base lacked guts was too wet. The topping slid off while picking it up. Disappointed.

For the price, would expect them to have something to keep the pizza warm while it waits for pick up. Pizza itself is good. Traditional style.

Great Napoletana style peeza here with my friend Shane on Saturday. Atmosphere in the alfresco was matched only by the 24h fermented dough, which was perfectly woodfired and delivered to our table in rapid time. The restaurant is very new so has yet to unveil its house chilli oil but Shaney boy and I cannot wait to go back to try it. In the meantime, top their margarita with chilli flakes and enjoy the hospitality of “Gunner” and his team!
