I don't usually write reviews (well actually never have) but I felt this was so deserved. Thank you Shane and team for not only doing such a great job at repairing a much loved family antique - but also for the fantastic, friendly and warm service received from every member of staff that I dealt with. I cannot recommend them highly enough.

I have just collected my bentwood rocker and am delighted with how it has turned out. The service was friendly and efficient.

We are so pleased we picked the Furniture Doctor to recover an antique chaise and 2 stools, all of which had been in the family for a long time and fallen into a poor state of repair. The service was friendly and helpful - they had a huge selection of fabrics, and gave us great advice in picking the ones that would best suit our new home. We are delighted with the result - it has given each piece a more contemporary look and a new lease of life. We would certainly recommend them.

We asked Shane to repair a dining chair, not expecting it to look like new again. We were delighted with the result and have asked him to renovate our kitchen cupboards.

At the end of last year, we contacted The Furniture Doctor to enquire about updating our wooden lounge/dining set - it was in good shape and good quality wood, but is about 15+ years old and was quite dated.
We were unsure exactly what we wanted and when we could get it done, but Jade and Shane were both so professional and always responded kindly and promptly.
We had the whole set overhauled to make it more like the Hamptons style, and looking at it now, you wouldn’t believe it was old, dated furniture. We would never have been able to buy brand new Hamptons furniture, with the quality our furniture has, for the amazing price that we were charged for the work.
The quality of work was excellent, they were very helpful throughout the whole process, especially in picking the perfect shade of white (surprisingly a difficult decision!), and guided us towards a finished product, making it super easy for us and leaving us with pieces which we absolutely love.
The update to our wooden furniture has completely changed the whole space for the better and we have had so many compliments on how good it looks! We still catch ourselves just staring at it all in awe!

I took my light ash dining table which had a big crack running through it to be restored. The table I collected a few weeks later was like a new table. It had a beautiful finish and the crack had disappeared. Impressed.

The Furniture Doctor did a fantastic job repairing our cabinet. You can barely tell where the damage was, they repaired some extra areas for free and all for a great price. The work was done as promised and they were a pleasure to deal with. I would definitely recommend them!

Not good.
I called to ask if they could re-strap a couch.
The guy's response was "I have no idea. Can you call back next Tuesday and ask. "
I didn't bother calling back.

Not happy. Had a rocking chair "repaired" here for $165 and instead of exchanging the broken footrest, it just had staples put in that don't hold at all, covered up with rattan wrapping. Very upset!

I took one of my broken wooden bed rail to them to replace and they done an excellent job, so good that i couldn't recognise which one was the new one or old one, a job well done and excellent workmanship

We have had some chairs that have been really tricky to repair. The team at The Furniture Doctor have persevered with them despite having to come up with several solutions to fix them. They have been a pleasure to deal with.

Shane and his staff have done a beautiful job of restoring our jarrah dining table top. The old lacquer and stain from another restorer has been stripped away and now the timber grain shines through the immaculate finish. Highly recommend for professional, quality service.

The Furniture Doctor has been my go-to for several years now. Can't recommend highly enough. Antique high chair restoration, broken chair legs, and recently new upholstery have all been completed to a very high standard. Big thank you to Shane and the team!

What an amazing job The Furniture Doctor has done on my club chairs. Both needed full restoration and I wasn't sure one could be rescued however they now both match and are perfect. Thank you to all the team that helped with everything from choosing the fabric, repairing the wood, re- upholstering and getting the chairs back home.
