Could not be more disappointed with this place. Had a hard time even getting someone's attention for checkin, room was poorly cleaned and not once did anyone we discussed this with actually show appropriate customer service.

I am not usually a vocal person and certainly do my best not to be rude but the real lack of care taken for our issues is just disappointing.

There is no communication if you have an issue they just point to their no refund policy and take your money even if you leave because the room is disgusting. They ignore calls and emails and shove responsibility around like they are politicians.

I really needed a getaway and this added stress was completely unnecessary and I would have appreciated more care taken from staff to make me feel heard. They suggested alternative fixes after the fact which their staff never suggested at the time and were altogether rude.

When you have an issue they will just tell you there is no manager or the owner is away and hope you give up on your issue.

Thanks for nothing

We went here for dinner. I left with mixed feelings, we all had a different dish, some of the food was amazing otter dishes not that good. I had the first which was incredible, but I couldn't eat the vegetables on the plate. Not sure what had been done to it, but it was not my taste.

The vegetarian haloumi dish was not something I'd ever order again either.

The lamb dish was good. Side dishes were okay.

The place looks really nice though.

All up, it was expensive for what you get. It all looks like quality food in the way it's presented, and some things were that level, but lots didn't quite hit the mark.

The 2 bed chalet was fantastic, cosy with the log burner, top facilities for relaxing, great views and a nice walk along the firebreak into Pemberton.
The hosts were welcoming, we only wished we had planned to have stayed more than 2 nights.
Thank you!

The Chalet was really nice with fireplace and kitchen but the fat, sweaty man in the office was very rude and my children were scared of him.

Although the rooms were a bit dated they were large and very comfortable. We had an issue with broken heat lamps in the bathroom and it was dealt with quickly, efficiently and with no fuss.
The wood fire was wonderful to relax to, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. Location was perfect, and the birds and trees and grounds were lovely to wake up to.
We ate a wonderful, generous tasty meal at the restaurant and the local wine is definitely not to be missed. Would stay here again!

Did not stay in the rooms. Heard, overpriced. Front end staff and owners horrid, rude and condescending. Food nothing to write home about, and expensive. Grounds hard to manoeuvre for the elderly and others not steady on their feet.
Lovely setting for a wedding.

Had an amazing stay here during Truffle Kerfuffle Festival. Rooms are clean and I love the vibes. Totally recommend.

Absolutely amazing! It has great views, the people over there are so kind, very comfy beds, it has a restaurant and library, and don’t get me started on the kangaroos Roogenic teas are everywhere, and if you want something extra for more luxury, you can purchase some items from the minibar inside your cabin. Highly recommended!

We stayed two nights as part of a trip around southwest WA and selected because they claimed to have a restaurant which is important when you’re out of town. Arrived at 5.30 to find reception closed and an envelope with a key to our room. Not the room we had booked - there was a note to say something about water problems that were being fixed so assume that was why. Room smelt of damp and bathroom and bathroom was mouldy with in shower bath that was just plain dangerous. Then discovered that if we wanted breakfast we had to request before 5pm and a moot point anyway as the restaurant was closed. Some tips on where to eat in Pemberton would have been useful. Surroundings are beautiful but the resort itself looks tired.

We stayed three nights in one of the lovely two-bedroomed chalets.
Wow! The accommodation was superb, spacious and very comfortable.
Not only did we have a fabulous chalet, we also had a good-sized verandah overlooking the gardens.
The chalet has everything you could want. It was very well stocked with towels, toiletries, kitchen equipment and little extras, like a laundry sink, pegs, and a retractable clothes line in the shower. There were blankets/throws for when it gets a bit chilly, and also a woodburner for use out of the high fire risk season.
Kangaroos are abundant in the early morning and again in the evening.
The resort has a peaceful, calm atmosphere.
You can stroll around the lake, borrow DVDs, or just relax on your verandah and enjoy the peace and quiet.
It's only a short drive into town but there's also a restaurant onsite, serving first class food.
I'd definitely stay here again.

We stayed for 2 nights and loved the place. The price was very reasonable, the grounds are well maintained, the unit was amazingly well appointed and the bedrooms were spacious, had very comfortable beds and nice views out the front and back (to watch the many kangaroos). In addition, Forest Lodge is owned and run by Ingo Maass, a world acclaimed chef, so the restaurant served up some amazing food. I also want to acknowledge Rebecca, our dinner waitress, who has a lovely personality and provided excellent service on the 2 nights we dined there.
We thoroughly recommend Forest Lodge.

We spent 6 nights in this beautiful and peaceful place, good for kids with a new play area and kangaroo just outside your chalet.
Good BBQ area and the chalet are well organised.
However the room services has not been the best.
They also have restaurant for lunch and/or dinner but we couldn’t try it.
I would recommend it.

The chalets are lovely and cosy with plenty of little touches, set in beautiful grounds. Plenty of games and DVDs to use free of charge. The restaurant decor is beautifully done, however the attitude of the restaurant staff was appalling. Initially the front of house staff member went out of their way to accommodate us including table decorations as it was my sons birthday. I ordered the Marron Chowder which states on the menu includes chunks of Marron, of which there was not one piece, just a few prawns and frozen shrimp in a tasteless liquid. When the front of house staff collected our plates I stated I was not happy with my meal, my exact words were 'I was disappointed with my meal as there was not any Marron' and they replied 'it states on the menu its cooked in Marron broth and we've never had complaints before. ' (This is incorrect as I have since read the reviews) Then took our plates away. My daughter then overheard the front of house staff and the chef talking about us in the kitchen which I will not repeat as the language was disgraceful. When paying for our meal my daughter in-law confronted them about about this to which she was told we were disappointing customers. My family and I have worked in customer service for many years so I am always careful my feedback is provided in a respectful manner and I can honestly say I have never been treated this way by restaurant staff. It's a lovely place to stay however I would recommend eating elsewhere. If it wasn't for this particular incident I would have given it a five star review.

Customer service from the receptionist was amazing, very welcoming and helpful.

A few downsides,
Shower is poorly placed over the bath, water flooded the floor of the bathroom. Little screen on the side of the bed wouldn't turn off all night and had an exceptionally bright light all night. Made it difficult to sleep. Bed was really hard and pillows uncomfortable. Didn't sleep very well over the 1 night we stayed.

Great quiet location close to Pemberton township. Woke this morning with a Kangaroo looking at me through the bedroom window! Food good and friendly staff.

Very disappointed with the attitude of this place. We booked for 3 nights and then our daughter came down with Covid and we had to isolate and gave them notice to cancel our booking as we did not want to risk taking any Covid germs there. They refused to give us a refund as it was within the 14 day cancellation period. We were being considerate and not risking them closing down because of us and get punished for it.

My wife and I have stayed here at The Forest Lodge Resort in Pemberton for 10 days and enjoyed every minute of our time here. We've stayed in an exceptionally beautiful 2b/r villa that has everything a couple or family needs for a short or long stay. It has a well set out kitchen and lounge room, a big main bedroom and 2nd bedroom, and a lovely bathroom. The resort is very serene among the forest trees and so close to Pemberton. The owner Ingo has been very helpful to us during our stay, and Juliana at reception and all the cleaning staff are lovely and helpful people. We loved it here so much we're planning to come again for a long stay later this year. There's so much to see around Pemberton and nearby. It's central to many beautiful places.

My partner and I had an amazing stay at the resort, we spent time enjoying the natural atmosphere at the gazebo overlooking the lake with the rabbits, geese and waterbirds walking around freely. From the greeting at reception to the mains on offer and cooked supperb it was an amazing night away. We will definitely be visiting again.

We ate at the restaurant for our anniversary. I am vegan so I called up beforehand & spoke to the Chef/Owner to see what he could do & he was very lovely & accommodating! Our meals were absolutely delicious & he even put together a vegan dessert for me! The restaurant & grounds are stunning & our waitress was a delight. We had a lovely night & can highly recommend this place!
