The Drovers Inn reviews
44I had the pleasure of stopping at The Drovers Inn. This place is amazing! Loved the atmosphere. I had the Steak and Guinness Pie, could not fault it, it was hot and delicious and served in a timely manner. My compliments to the chefs and servers! The decor and dining area was amazing and felt like I was back in time. Stay authentic The Drovers Inn.
Had 3 Workers stay within area, for $200+ a night per person the rooms were really poor, Ants throughout two of the rooms and cockroaches all through another including inside the kettle, called office had little to offer other than "oh we will need to spray".
For one of the most expensive places to stay in Moora this is completely unacceptable, will never be booking our guys here again.
We were lucky enough to spend an afternoon and evening at The Drovers Inn. We met the new owners, Peter and Maria you were friendly and extremely hospitable to us. It's a great old building, the service and food excellent with comfortable and clean accommodation. We look forward to visiting again.
Popped in by accident. A very pleasant accident. The 2 new staff members from Ireland were so friendly and helpful. Food was great also. Nice place, actually a fantastic town.
Run down hotel with a new owner, hopefully he can pick up his game. Way overpriced for the quality, but we arrived in town and this was the last room. Don’t recommend.
The new owners have just taken over & we were their first customers! We stayed in the motel rooms & we were warm & comfortable. The owners were sooo hospitable & lovely to us! Very nice people - we will definitely come back to stay again
My wife and I stopped at the hotel for a night in one of the motel rooms, all I can say is that they need to get the plumber in and fix the shower. As for the food, my wife's parmie, the cheese on top was just one slab, and un edible, my ceaser salad was not worth mentioning, the bar man was rude and arrogant.
One positive, the hostess did try to accommodate us to the best of her ability. Will we stop there again, I think not. Once bitten, twice shy.
Almost looked closed from the outside, but inside what a lovely place. After the countryside what a change in the dining room, another world. As for the fairy lights, candles etc.mentioned previously I thought good on them as put some time and effort in changing the scenery. As for the meal, huge! Mash was sieved, Scotch Fillet was perfect and veggies of capsicum, brussels, broccolini etc.perfectly roasted. Didn’t mention just how good the service was either. Friendly mob, and attentive. Excellent work folks.
A grand old country hotel in a lovely country town. The renovation has given the lounge a warm comfortable atmosphere. The decor was fine this is a country hotel not a city restaurant. Dinner for four was 2 steaks one prawn salad and one ceasar salad. All meals very substantial served promptly and very well presented. I am told the steaks were excellent. Wine list not expensive. We will return any time we are in Moora.
Just enjoyed a delicious Pork Belly meal - couldn't fault it.
And the friendly and attentive staff made the meal even more enjoyable.
Dinner only.
Beautiful building, great food, with an unfortunately cheaply dressed dining room.
They had fairy lights, an obnoxiously overpowering candle, and a stand selling homemade soaps which wrecked an otherwise beautiful room and delicious meal.
Steak was succulent and delicious. Recommend the Surf and Turf.
Excellent food, very friendly staff. Without doubt, the best hotel in Moora.
Very clean, with a great atmosphere.
Beautifully clean unit. Good bed, shower and air con.
After a 40plus degree couple of days it was a haven to come back too each day. Then the dinner, served in a luxurious restaurant by happy efficient staff and one of the best meals we have ever eaten.
Thank you
Staying at the Drovers Inn Hotel is not a place I can recommend. I and my travelling companion booked into the accommodation early in December this year. The air-conditioner in my windowless room wasn’t working, and the bar fridge (that had a damaged interior door), wasn’t properly working either. Two hours later, by a mutual agreement, I left with a full refund. My friend however, who did have a functioning air-conditioner chose to stay, even though she couldn’t get any programs on her TV, and the pillows on her bed were uncovered and stained! They did however much later give her pillowcases for them, but the most upsetting part of all occurred when she returned to her unit that night at 9 pm. Her key, which from the beginning had been very difficult to use, and a problem that was immediately reported to the publican, which in turn resulted in him merely oiling the lock, stopped working altogether! But very fortunately, a worker staying at the hotel opposite where the accommodation booking office is located. Eventually came to the rescue, and she replaced the faulty key with a new one that from then on thankfully worked perfectly. Why that didn’t happen from the outset, who knows!
The downstairs accommodation was disgraceful. It was a donga. It needed a complete upgrade. The meals we had there were fabulous. The dining room service very good. Would not stay there again but would love to dine there again

Pretty basic, no-frills motel units at rear of hotel. Clean and comfortable and ok for an overnight stay. Kettle, toaster and microwave provided but strangely enough, no table.
We stopped here for the night. The chef did an excellent seafood special for the night. We had the barramundi and some of us had the pork ribs. Great food. The rooms were old but very clean and functional with aircon, a working tv and clean toilets. Come on over and support our regional WA.
Stopped in for lunch on Saturday, not many in. Ordered the chicken parmi and chips special and a steak sandwich. Food arrived quickly, nicely presented and hot. Great taste and large servings. Very good value. A great hotel. Probably the best hotel/pub we had visited over the previous 4 days in the region.
YUM the staff were very friendly and helpful. Even though the restaurant was fully booked we were offered a table off the bar and were asked to come earlier so we could have our meal before restaurant opened. Customer service above and beyond. Thanks.
Checked the menu on their website before deciding our party would dine there:
Mains - Served With Chips and Salad or Mash and Vegies
Scotch Fillet 34.5
except two mains came without salad - just a steak and chips - and when we asked what happened to the salad, we were brought (Greek) salads. When paying the bill, the Scotch Fillet was 43.50 AND the two salads were there as added costs, $6 each.
Hate it when they offer soemthing but the reality is so different.
[Edit - since I can't rely directly]
Hey owner, read what I wrote. This is not about Covid or Perth or anything else. I was referring to your WEBSITE MENU, which even now (after your reply) still shows what I stated above. Pretty poor when your website is so far removed from the reality of your actual price and offering.
