Stop by and take in the beautiful scenery off the water whilst having a beverage or a bite to eat. Great service very popular with the locals. Definitely worth stopping in and checking it out

We had lunch on Thursday and ordered 4 pizzas to share and 8 drinks. The pizza arrived promptly and when asked where the drinks were it was discovered the order had not gone through?
7 drinks were quickly delivered but had to ask for 8th drink. Unfortunately I was the last to settle our portion of the bill and was told the one drink was not paid for. I didn’t mind paying for the drink but when I asked the other couples it turned out we were charged for 9 drinks. The waitress although very pleasant should have noticed the drinks had not arrived when the pizza were delivered and because there was a problem with the drinks should have checked all was correct.

Perfect restaurant to eat, or having a drink of coffee or booze while watching a beach view just in front of you. The food is so good nothing with friendly staff. My favourite is the chicken curry with rice and coconut. For kids noodles 1 serve is good for 2 kids. After paying, please check your receipt just in case you paid something you did not order. They also have outdoor sitting which is so cosy with nice view of the beach. Overall, my family had a wonderful lunch here. You must come here, you never regret. If you have kids, bring a bather the beach is good for the kids.

I’ve never seen my sons leave battered fish uneaten, until we had take away from the Colour Patch! I tried it to see what their complaint was about and it was revolting. The taste of rank oil was overwhelming and the fish was simply a mushy mess. Anchovy pizza and chips were good, but at those prices that didn’t make up for the fish and chips. This is basically low grade pub grub at restaurant prices. Service was good for a pub.

Beautiful outlook
Good parking behind premises and also on street at front.
It was morning so sun shining lots so we sat inside on an inviting corner couch.
Coffee was great. We both drink decaf & like it hot all our wishes were catered for

Lovely muffin a good size of an adult and some over for a child, then a slice of very very nice carrot cake ️

Couldnt wait any longer for table service. Lots of staff but only one seemed to be doing anything.

The Colour Patch at Augusta. A must-go restaurant if you are driving down to Cape Leeuwin. The scampi, squid, and Redgate's dessert wine, Anastasia, are excellent! It's also the last eating house before the Antarctica!

Overpriced menu and average pizza. Tried their happy hour and not impressed by the cocktails. Iced coffee gets 5/5 though

Ok, so some of you are going to totally disagree with my review and some will agree, then there's those sitting on the fence.
This review is based on the opinion of a group of 7 people dining in for lunch - remember, everyone is different!

We went there looking for the old fish and chip shop and found The Colour Patch in it's place. A lovely surprise, and as it was quite a cold day, we opted to dine inside instead of Al fresco, which in warmer months would be a lovely spot to sit.
However, upon viewing the small menu, most of us found it to be quite limited in variety but we eventually managed to find something to order. Whilst everyone more or less enjoyed the meal they ordered, the consensus was that for what we ordered, it was overpriced.
Due to dietary restrictions, one friend could only order the flat bread which certainly was not ideal. Another ordered the Waygu beef hamburger which at $28 seemed excessive but then there appears to be a trend towards overpricing the humble hamburger or steak sandwich these days. Whilst the burger was nice, it certainly would not have been anything to rave about.
This restaurant is very pleasant to be in, there's history of the area displayed all around and they have a very unique bar set up. Yet, whilst our dining experience wasn't awful, it wasn't something we'd return to either.
If you are in the mood for, and actually like a bit of seafood ie; oysters, fish, squid, scampi etc, or you like antipasto - then this is for you. They also have a variety of pizzas but when overall choices are limited, pizza isn't always the answer when you can't pick and choose your toppings.
A fussy group you might say? But we are still paying customers and just like you, we all have opinions.
Don't take my word for it, try it for yourself. It may be the 'go to' place you've been looking for and if so, happy days are ahead

Beautiful location and some of the best squid I’ve tasted. Fish of the day was ok. Chips really average. Salad delicious. The water bottle was growing it’s own collection of creatures on the bottom of it. Disappointed not to receive an apology or a replacement water bottle when we pointed it out. I mean, mistakes happen, but you should say sorry.

Restaurant is in an amazing location and is well set up but…. The food is mediocre and over priced. It’s average pub food at best and other specials were inedible. This venue could be so much more…. The stars are for the location only!

Don’t waste your time. Average food and horrible customer service. We came in and ordered takeaway with the intention of leaving as soon as we got it. We got some of the food and sat down whilst waiting for the rest of our food. Bear in mind the resteraunt was EMPTY. As we were waiting awhile for our food, we decided to start snacking on the food we already had, my partner went up to order some sauce and the lady told him we needed to leave because we ordered takeaway so we were not allowed to sit inside. She was very rude and made us feel very unwelcome and embarrassed. We immediately packed up but had to still wait awkwardly for the rest of our food. This would 100% be understandable if the restaurant was busy and we were taking seats away from those customers, but the restaurant was completely empty and we were all just nibbling on some chips with the intention of leaving to eat by the beach as soon as all the food was ready. Also bear in mind we were a rather large group and had just spent lots of money there. Side note as well, we had just come off a whale tour on which our guide recommended we go to this shop, none of us were rowdy or bad guests as we were all feeling slightly sick from the boat so we were all just sat there silently. Will never visit again and will let all my friends and family know to not visit there either. I cannot believe how rude the lady was, we were all in shock.

Edit to reply to owner:

This is a completely accurate representation of what happened actually. The old lady did tell my partner we needed to leave and the restaurant was completely empty so in accordance with what you said, there really is no reason that we were asked to leave except rudeness. I 100% understand the price difference in take away and eating in, hence why we were planning to leave as soon as we got all of our food. Additionally, we never would have sat down at all if the restaurant was full or if there was anyone waiting for seats etc. So if she had just waited 5 more minutes for us to get the rest of our food, none of this would ever of happened. Just own your mistake and learn from it and hopefully this won’t happen to anyone else. Thank you, wish you well:)

We have ordered a Hawaiana pizza, pork shoulder some kids meal, Wagyu beef and porterhouse steaks.all of the food taste horrible.and the price was Soo expensive. Really disappointed.moreover we were all hungry, and if the food still tasted bad when you're really hungry it says alot about the quality of food. Very disappointed. Will never recommend this to anyone. Really really disappointed.

Pretty view and very friendly staff. Waitress was so helpful and was spot on with her recommendations. If you are in Augusta this place is a must.

Ordered hawaiana pizza and pulled pork and both are way too disappointing. We are not going to come back. Pulled pork wasn't at our liking and the vege are bitter. I could probably understand that this menu might not suit everyone and my liking is different than others. But pizza is the simplest dish. The base is totally burnt, I didn't realise how bitter it is until I tried it myself after all the kids talk about it so I told the staff. The staff told me its stone baked so would have the charred like that normally. If this is their normal standard then definitely a no. I would give 0 rating to the quality of food.

Great location with friendly and efficient staff. Menu could do with being edited and more focused on seafood choices? Fish and chips constituted quality fish with tired batter and chips. Will return after the holidays

Thus place has an amazing seaview. The bar is made in a shape of a real ship. Another feature is the cosy fireplace in the middle of the saloon. The staff is very friendly. The food was excellent.

First time here after the renovations and was not disappointed. Food was great and you could tell all the produce was really fresh. Staff were all very friendly. Came for breakfast but have also been told the pizzas are worth coming back for.
