The Charles Hotel reviews
49 Good service, bad food. Went there Tuesday evening recently after Covid lockdown. Prompt friendly service, however the lasagna ($24) was a reheated microwave mess which ‘mama’ would definitely not have been proud of.
Used to eat there quite often but they seem to have given up on making decent meals. Just not good enough anymore. Stick to a plain old parmi or go somewhere else.
Reopened since the restrictions been lifted. Meals still good but increased in price. Staff still as pleasant as always. Comfy couches have been removed sadly. Same old clientele. Always liked the place
Perths Best Blues Club.
Talented Local Blues Artists.
Harmonica Evening Showcased The Best of the Best Perth had to Offer.
One of the worst place to visit with current staffs and securities. Be aware specially with rude staffs and security guys. Kindly place a signs that belongs to your premises. And stop bullying foreign customers and don’t be so rude. You guys need to learn manners to speak. Specially teach manners to security guy.
Best place in Perth to go see the live bands, dance and have a fantastic time. The Pub grub is great value and excellent quality, the drinks menu is extensive and caters to all. Heaps of parking and no accessibility problems. If you're going to see a band, recommend you book a table for dinner and priority access into the venue.
Very friendly staff! Unfortunately extremely cold in large bar area where bands play. Great to have live bands but tickets pricey for the tribute singers and bands.
Nice place. Very Quite? Not may staff had to wait a bit to be served. But staff were friendly and helpful.
Meals were good and a great price. Food was quick.
No table service, bar service with a wait.
Ample easy parking and free.
Good food and a great selection of beers on tap. Occasionally they host burlesque performances for some mid-week entertainment which is a pleasant experience. The stage area is cash only though so be sure to cash up before you go in. Often have quiz nights too, so check out their socials for details.
I have been to see a number of bands here. Including The Mental's, and Pseudo Echo. Good venue.
A trip down memory lane to watch Russell Morris & Dave Hole as well as Blue Shaddy. Like me it has a few more wrinkles & kilos than back then but ohhh the memories!
Made a booking during the week for dinner to see the band, now can't find my booking.really poor service.
The ambience is one that'll appeal to most, it's relaxed, it's fun and the crowd is always pleasant. Also the bottleshop is very handy
It is a country pub for perth no air conditioning.sorry some pub in York WA the are more well presented whit air con then this one.table and chairs are old.no good the cutlery and the salt and pepper shaker at out of date.last but no list.f@$#&×k flat beer
Pick a night when you will enjoy the live music and reasonable price beer, or go because it's for a good cause, IE, cystic fibrosis fund raising event. Good fun.
Bouncer wouldn't let me in because of my riding boots that I have worn there heaps of times. I shall be spending my money elsewhere!
Went on Monday evening around 6 pm with my partner to enjoy a couple of pre dinner drinks.
Only one bar was open, catering for punters and outside smokers.
Not impressed.
Left after a 3 minute look around.
It needs a complete re vamp.
Cannot give it any stars.
The Charles is a old-school pub band venue of which there are very few left in Perth now. It's a bit tired in places but does the job. I enjoyed my evening there. It's a good place to experience live entertainment.
The Charles hotel has some great bands.i feel very privileged to have seen tony joe white what a legend he was RIP
Fond memories from living 300m away.hehe. Great pub & venue for comedy gigs & home of Perth Blues Scene
