The CareSide

The company has gone from bad to worse over the last 6 months, we are on our 3rd or 4th care manager in that period.

They'll tell you what you want to hear if you complain, lots of false promises, always fail to deliver on them.

A lot of shift cancelations due to staff sickness, frustrating call centre to deal with based outside of Australia.

No ones seems to really know what's going on. There are a few great good carers that are a credit to themselves and the company, but they never seem to stick around long.

If they keep going like this I'm not sure they'll be around much longer.

We will be looking to switch care providers in the new year, fair to say we have had enough.

Not to my experience, They treat NDIS patients as "CASH COWS" They had expressly stated that, "there will be no markup on third party Invoices" it was and is not true. One month on, I am still waiting for a referral for speech therapist.

Excellent organisation! The entire team is nice, professional, and compassionate. They provide very flexible services and are very easy to work with.

Careside are currently charged with caring for my brother who has (now) advanced MND and have been for over 12 months now.
My brothers condition could only be described as difficult to care for.
In my opinion, Careside are currently doing a very good job, given the little amount of overall funding allocated for the all important task at hand, which in turn limits the amount of hours care can be provided.
Care company’s are severely limited to provide care within the sphere of allocated funding. This in turn presents with the challenge of providing a level of care that’s both prudent (within the funding sphere) and to a standard that is acceptable toward the patient & their siblings.
We have had some areas of difficulty throughout my brothers care journey with Careside, but can say when those difficulties were made known, Careside came out & sat with us in order to resolve those difficulties.
I/we were very happy with the results from that sit down as Careside administrators actioned our concerns on those difficulties immediately.
So overall my brother and us (the family) are happy with the level and quality of care that has been and still is being provided by Careside at this point in time.
It may well be worth mentioning that a carer called Elio is a wonderful career for my brother when he is at the home.
Elio is hard working and displays professionalism & empathy as he goes about his difficult task when caring for my brother.

When my usual carer went on holidays, The Careside provided me with a carer who’s name is kiarra. She fulfilled all my duties and expectations to a level that was above and beyond what I expected. I would recommend this service to people I know as it employs carers who have my best interest at heart and supports my needs when it comes to the level of care that I require

This company needs to be avoided They talk the talk at sign up then do not do their jobs They are incompetent uncaring and irresponsible My mums care is in jeopardy because of their behaviour Refusing to pay mums bills for her personal care yet still pay themselves using mums funds. They are a disgrace! NEVER AGAIN

The service and care that we receive from The Careside is wonderful. The carers that come and care for my husband Andy are lovely nothing is too much for them. Always on time.
Administration are great always answer any queries we have. I have no hesitation to promote The Careside.

My husband and I switched to Careside this year after becoming disatissfied with our previous Provider. We have never looked back.
We are extremely happy with all the staff, from Management to Carers.
From the very first day when Janina came out to see us we felt very comfortable with changing over. Everything was explained to us in such an easy manner that one needs when going through this type of situation. We were also informed about things we hadn't even known about previously. Fast forward and everything running very smoothly. They are always available to communicate and help out with any issue that may arise.
My husband has the most wonderful carer now and both he and myself feel blessed to have her.
One other aspect regarding the Fees. Careside are far more reasonable than the majority, and that alone is something to consider very seriously when choosing your Provider.

Dont trust this company by any means! Poor communication, if any at times, poor service and care, withholding funding for over 70 days from a previous client even though she has now got a new care provider, the list goes on!
Futhermore I discovered that "all" of the 5 star reviews on the "The Careside" company Facebook page are actually personal facebook friends of Emily Gillett who is the owner/operator of The Careside.

Please dont make the same mistake my family did when choosing The Careside as a caring provider for a family member.

I have been using CareSide now for 6 months and have found that the service is always happy to help in any way. The ladies that come to my home to help on a regular basis are always prompt and always the same person comes, except if she if unwell. They carry out their duties cheerfully which makes it a pleasure to have them in my home. I fully recommend CareSide to others considering using a care giver.

All dealings with The Careside have been top class: a professional company with courteous, caring staff.

I would like to thank everyone at The CareSide for the great way they looked after Mum during her home care. We would especially like to thank Rebecca who first signed us up to be with The CareSide and continued to help us out above and beyond with anything we asked of her. We also especially want to thank Jody in the way she cared for Mum, Jody is straight up a most wonderful soul and we are so grateful Mum had Jody as her carer.

I was hesitant to change from the previous care company, worrying about how messy and long it would take. That was a year ago, and I cannot say how happy I am now that I made the call to The CareSide and spoke with Emily. Done in a few days, handled everything, understood what was needed from day one & nothing has changed it has only got better.
My mother is cared for by wonderful, caring, experienced people. The office staff behind them are efficient, contactable and caring. They even call me to check in. I cannot recommend this company to care for your elderly relatives more highly. Make the change, make the call its not hard.
I moved from a religious based care company who cared about nothing else but the account and what they could charge for, (feel familiar?), their staff were treated in an uncaring manner, the office staff never knew what was going on. Again I am so happy that I don't have to worry about my mother, and she has never been more content. THANKYOU The CareSide & Emily for taking my call.

Michelle is absolutely lovely and we are so grateful that she looks after Mum so well. We changed from another provider to the CareSide and we are so glad we did. Michelle always turns up at exactly the same time each week so Mum is relaxed and can plan her week. Having Mum relaxed and happy makes my life so much easier too! Thankyou Michelle and CareSide.

We looked around for the best value provider home care provider and were very pleasantly surprised at their prices. Their fees are much lower than everybody else that we interviewed and their customer service is very responsive.

The Carers at The CareSide are very sweet. They have always arrived on time for us and done all the things that we have asked them, even cleaning the oven! They have made staying at home possible for my parents in their 90s, which is amazing because we thought they would have had to move into a nursing home by now. We have been able to have more care than we expected because the package management fees are so low compared to other providers. They are reliable and very responsive.

Emily and her team are amazing. They are the best value provider in Perth by far. We looked at several providers before choosing The CareSide, and they were able to give 4 more hours of care per week than anyone else. They are very responsive and the carers are wonderful. Our family highly recommends them. Nanna has been able to stay at home and she could not be happier.

We chose The CareSide because they only have a 10% admin fee and no case management fees. We transferred from our old provider because they were charging 25% admin and 15% case management fees, and their service was still terrible! Emily and her team are so responsive to our requests. Whatever we need, they get it for us straight away and we get to chose the carers we want at the times we want. We get more hours of care and better service.
