The Bottle-O - Plantagenet Hotel reviews
43 Good feed, good beers, and a great desserts cabinet.
Only got the coffee order wrong, but otherwise friendly staff.
I just went to the drive through.
I had just got some horrible news, the lady who served me was FANTASTIC, so kind and generous with her time and kind words.
Thank you with all my heart
I called Maria about a function for 130 people at short notice and she was wonderful to work with. The food was top class and having the whole back bar area was a perfect space on a rainy cold day. Thanks Darren and Maria. You were champs!

Lunch- Yummy Hawaiian Burger and beautifully cooked chips. Partners' Steak Sandwich great too. Will definitely come for more meals next time we're passing through.
Delicious fish burger. Fast service. Quiet on a Tuesday. Has a real country rustic vibe to it.
M, 5 star service, ran off her feet still managed a smile and excellent service, well done M
I was accommodated at the hotel by the company I was cotracted to.
Looks great from the outside. Inside its a kittle dated.
I was given a room out the back.
First impression. Youve got to be joking.
Wood panel walls, mustard coloured tiles in the bathroom, a dinosour for an AC unit. Floor mounted reverse cycle. It was freezing so it had to be on as the bar heater didnt work. Its the noise or freeze.
The shower is another story all together.
The drain was rusted. The soap holder had been broken so tape was wrapped aroind what was left of the base to support your soap. It was terrible weather so decided to stay for dinner. The Mt Barker steak was beautiful. So far the only good thing.
My bed was comfortable and warm.
All I need is a hot shower and a good nights sleep.
Well see how long that AC stays on for.
Will I be back. I dont think so, unless I have been accommodated by someone else.
Ordered salt & pepper squid and sticky chicken wings. Unfortunately the wings tasted like they were boiled and the squid was not fresh definitely frozen. Not happy at all. Would not recommend to eat at this place.
Food was normal pub grub and was ok. The service was friendly enough.
The big disappointment was the bed in room number five.
It caused me to have a sleepless night. Sleeping on the ground would have been more comfortable. Totally worn out with springs digging in your back. I have seen better mattresses at the local tip.
Show some respect to your guests and replace the bed.
Ordered Grilled fish n chips. Got given traditional fish chips. Said asked for grilled, they said I would have pay another whole $20 for entire new meal that I originally ordered instead of just the $2 difference between the two. Why should I have to pay for there mistake. Left with empty belly and $18 down for a meal I didn't eat.
This was the worst pub lunch ever. Garlic king prawns and jasmine rice-rice inedible and prawns under cooked. Yuck told the waitress but was not offered a remedy
Went here last Friday for a few drinks, what can I say the atmosphere was incredible and every one was having a great time will definitely be backing in the near future.
Awful, both entrees and mains came together. Ordered fish and chips, no taste to the fish. Few lettuce leaves, a couple of cucumbers and tomatoes, with no salad dressing. It wasn't even busy.worst meal I've had in a long time.
Great pub now it has had a change of management! Staff friendly & helpful, beer cold, food really enjoyable, TAB area rocking & toilets fresh and clean! Well worth the stop in for a coldie if not more!
Quiet pub on the main drag. Friendly local service.
Burgers well done - even down to the chips. We'll salted chips which is an artform. Would be nice if they came with aoilo though.
Wont hesitate to visit again!
Went the other night with friends before the amateur theatre, the food is fantastic and the staff are friendly and happy.
There's a certain old school ambience, and that's very nice.
I will be going again.
I highly recommend it
Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Sitting by the fireside with a glass of local wine. Great place to end the day of walking.
Would not eat here again! The food was awful. Very expensive for what was called Mt Barker steak which was covered in so much thick sauce, frozen vegetables and a so called mash.
Fair prices. Very friendly staff. Fire place inside was warm and cosy to relax after a busy day.
We went in for lunch on the way through Mt Barker. We had a special scotch steak. The steak was alright but the garlic sauce was not pleasant. Hint have your chef make the sauce. Would go again.
