The Boatshed Cafe

Was not informed on set meal pricing when I called to make reservation. It’s my first visit and did not know on set dinner for Saturdays.
Overall food was not worth $75 per person.
The atmosphere is nice facing the river- but that’s about it.
Will not be returning.

We had our wedding at the Boatshed restaurant on the 28th of December 2023 and from the point of first contact with Graham to picking up all our belongings the day after the wedding, everything was perfect. We had the ceremony on the banks of the river and then we all entered for the reception. Thank you for the delicious food and attention to detail. All the guests loved the food and you were able to cater to everyone's dietary requirements. The view is absolutely gorgeous at any time of year but that is not the only thing that makes this venue amazing. We only needed minimal decorations to enhance a beautiful restaurant. My father is a hard man to please but he was so happy with everything. Thank you for making our day so perfect! Love sash and shashi

Went for a bday dinner and couldn’t of asked for better service, very accommodating with two young children, made for a great night.

Breakfast was not good, poached eggs were hard boiled when requested super soft and toast, bacon, sausage were all overcooked. Service was pretty average - no please or thank you and we had to keep asking for basic things that should be the norm.

Beautiful location.

Food was lovely and large sizes.

Wow we had mums 80 th birthday there today, from the moment I walk into this place I couldn’t fault it. Graham and his impeccable team were wonderful. The food was absolutely beautiful the staff were so attentive the view was amazing.

Beware the bill. GST is included in the price of each meal. The bill shows the GST as a line item and add it again. The bottom line is not the correct price. We did not dine on a day when a surcharge applied. Will not return.

Today we celebrated my little wedding luncheon here and it was absolutely fantastic. From my initial booking with the lovely Jade and her giving us the best table.to the actual day. Service, food, ambience were all superb.
Graeme, was also lovely to meet you too, you have a fabulous establishment.great staff and we look forward to dining again here soon. Thank you so much.

The menu isn’t anything to get overly excited about but the food itself was nice enough. The staff are incredible and the view is very hard to beat. A staple of Perth dining that just reliable and enjoyable.

Bistro and restaurant. Lovely staff.wonderful view. Neat and clean dining and playground area for the kids.hot food is 6.7/10.dessert 7.5/10.the date pudding was delightful! However, I think it may only be ordered at the restaurant or may have omitted it from the menu.

Third time coming with international visitors. They food and cocktails was delicious we couldn't fault the flavour or presentation. Service was great and friendly helpful staff. One of our musts for food service and views to dine with guests. Thanks guys.

Service was extremely slow. The size of the breakfast was impressive but unfortunately the quality did not match.

Breakfast was horrible. We could not taste anything but oil. The bacon was definitely not freshly cooked it was like it had been sitting aside in a bowl of oil.
Over priced for the quality of the food.

We hired out the function room and were very impressed with the service. Our meals and drinks were top class and on time. The view of the city lights were amazing! Will recommend to my friends?

Such Delightful scenery with full view of the city.and the food was tasty aF from the cisp arancini with aoli entree n double dipped chips to my main seaood linguine with fresh oysters mussels prawns.taken to the next level with the addition of freshly cut chilli. 5* feed with 5* service.def returning

Our Red Hat group went for Christmas dinner/get together in December last year and because the service, the food and atmosphere was so good we are returning again on December 8th.
Looking forward to it.

Disappointing food especially for the price;, fish overcooked, steak overcooked, pasta sauce tasted like it was from a can. Service and view were great.

Went for my sons Birthday. We were not disappointed. The service was 1st class. The menu choices were limited. I had the snapper which was great, big serve and well cooked. Some strange combinations like beetroot ice cream. Tasted good though. All in all a good night out

My 12yo daughter has told me to write a 5 star review on how delicious the kids spaghetti Bolognese is. I wholeheartedly agree this place is worthy of a great review. The restaurant was shut on Monday which means the cafe seating stretches across the restaurant and you can sit right next to the waterfront which made our visit even more special. In fact we liked it so much and since we had another appointment in South Perth in a couple of days, we went back! Sadly the restaurant was open and we only wanted cafe food so we had to sit on the cafe side, seats aren't quite as lovely and the view isn't quite as good but it's still a remarkable location and if you have young ones there's a cute little play area you can pop them in while you enjoy a delicious coffee. My meal was enjoyed with a generous glass of the Moscato and I'd happily go back for this. My only complaint would be the cheese on the crossiant was on the bland side and could use a nice little salad to make it feel more like a all round meal but otherwise this will be our go-to place in South Perth to bring family or those out of town guests to give them a nice little Perth experience. Oh and if you're there long enough you're bound to see a cheeky Willy wagtail come and visit and the majestic black Swan enjoying the Swan River.

Exceptional food and service every single time. Fabulous for romantic evenings and groups.
Our steak the other night was the best we have ever had. Everyone in our group felt the same. Great views for an amazing experience. Enjoy
