Great little wine bar with amazing food. I personally would avoid sitting on the bar stool tables as they are really high and the foot rest is really low. Ended up with a pretty crook back as a result, but could not fault the service, food or wine! (Just try get a normal seat!)

Went for the Archie's popup plus some cocktails, it's a decent venue and will have to go again to try their own menu.

Food was good overall but then what was a let down was the fact that we ordered the normal chef's menu and yet they gave us the vegetarian menu. We asked where the chicken wings were towards the end of the night and they brought them without acknowledging their mistake. And the worse part was that they had another booking after, so we got quite pressured to finish our meal even though they were the one at fault.

Lovely place, but very poor service and options. We were quite surprised about the wine menu, as it had very limited options for being a “Wine Store” place. They don’t let you try the wines prior to ordering or spend time explaining you or giving recommendations.got a sour cocktail that was very nice, but also very expensive for the quality. It might be different for the dinner experience, but I wouldn’t go back for drinks only.

Very cool wine bar restaurant, super busy tonight, Friday. Good selection of tasting plates with a good selection of wines and beers to compliment the food choices. Staff were excellent considering how busy it was, prices about normal for Perth

My go to for great wine and delicious food. Unpretentious, knowledgable staff make me feel welcomed and at home everytime I visit.
Enomatic wine dispenser makes it easy to try gorgeous top shelf wines without breaking the bank!
Somm is friendly and full of wine wisdom.
The ever changing wine list and food menu is always fresh and inspiring, and keeps me coming back for more!
Don't change North Bird, or should I say, keep changing!

Great little venue to grab a wine and some dinner. Friends had fun doing tastings in the wine store. Love that non-alcoholic options were also available such as heaps normal beer. Will be back!

I do not recommend this place, especially if you are planning to come with a group of more than 4 people. Both food and service were below average.

In regards to the service, we booked two tables - one for 4 people and another for 2. We called in advance to check if we could join the tables. The staff confirmed that this was possible over the phone. However, this was not arranged when we got there and some of the staff were unaware of our call. While I understand that this change could've been difficult to manage, the staff did a poor job at communicating with us, and it felt like we were being blamed for the fact that we had to change our reservation.

There were many issues with the kitchen as well. We specified that some of us were only having entrees so it wasn't necessary that these came out first, but they completely disregarded this. By the time we got to the mains, we had already waited 2 hours. We also ordered bread while waiting for that mains. This took 30 mins and we had to remind the waitress about it.

The staff used the excuse that "this is just how the kitchen works and can't have that many dishes come out at the same time". If this was the case, it should've been communicated from the start.

Regarding the food, I had the pesto gnocchi which was extremely bland and the panzotti which was very salty.

Although in the end they took out some of the drinks from the bill, we ended up spending close to 3 hours at this place, which disrupted the plans that we had for the night. It also felt like the staff was making excuses instead of legitimately listening to our concerns and acknowledging that having people wait for 2 hours to get any food is too long.

Drinks and food are both good, but staff need serious customer service training. Apparently not allowed to stand up on a Friday night. The staff member involved knows who he is, 10/10 joker that needs to relax. Not a pleasant experience with that awkward bloke hanging around.

Edit - am reading the other reviews of this place and seems to be a very common theme - bad staff. Owners / management, if you read this, I seriously suggest you do a ‘stocktake’ on staff working Friday 19 Feb:)

We called before hand regarding the table. Upon arrival there's apparently a mix up and the table were not available and we had to wait for the table. That's for an 8pm booking, we were expecting to come in, order and eat. Not drinking on empty stomach. After we were seated we all ordered our food, some of us wanted to order multiple entries, and we specifically said that we want everything to come out together. However, a couple of entries came out, whereas the people that already ordered main watched while starving, one was on the verge of passing out from low blood sugar. After multiple complaints, the food finally start arriving. Quality was very disappointing, even those that's starving struggled to enjoy it. Around 10: 30, some of the dishes are still not out, after checking, the dishes conveniently disappeared from our order. Now we are speaking to the manager, and it's been a disgusting display of trying to shift the blame. Saying a table of 7 is too big for their kitchen, even though the restaurant were pretty empty by that point, and they could have told us and we would've happily go elsewhere. They did cancel some drinks from the bill though. This is my first time there, and it will be the only time.

Lovely food. Very poor service. We had to wait 20 minutes to be seated for a reservation, they didn’t bring one of our drinks orders for 20 minutes and then forgot. In the end they took so long to bring out the desert we asked for it in take away and they left out part of it. It’s a bit tough when you’re on a 3 hour window with a baby sitter.

Hard to recommend when a wine bar forgets your wines. Nice octopus though.

A really great experience which we couldn't fault. Wonderful food, wine and service at a very reasonable price. Also a great vibe reflecting the atmosphere of Nortbridge. I would've left a tip but this option wasn't offered and I had no cash. My only concern is that with a limited menu I hope it's changed regularly to get me to go back again soon. Overall, a definite 5 stars from me. Congratulations!

2 female servers friendly, especially the girl in bottle shop area. Unfortunately that's the only highlight to a venue that's ridiculous on its pricing of OTT charging, $118 for 2 from a set mediocre tapas menu of just 6 dishes that includes toast and sprouts and then surcharge for the only dessert option. Unable to have any nibbles with our wine, nothing to share. Local wines at $17 glass served from the end of an open bottle from the previous days trading stopped us from wanting another. First and last time patrons who went onto bar standard that signifies everything a wine bar and vibrant dining venue should be.

The wine selection is amazing. Very knowledgeable staff who pointed me in many wonderful directions. Great list of natural and low interventional wine. We didn't eat much food but what we did eat was wonderful. Definitely check it out. Very hip little joint. One of my recent faves.

At the recommendation of the waiter we started with the Bress Shiraz. An excellent wine, even it it was more reminiscent of a Pinot Noir.

We then shared 3 dishes, the fish, the seared broccoli, and the smoked potatoes, prior to dessert.

Of the 3 main courses, the broccoli was our least favourite. The accompanying eschalots were truly exceptional, but the broccoli itself, while seared, and with well cooked florets, suffered from a slightly undercooked stem.

The fish was perfectly cooked, and the accompanying vegetables were a great match for it.

The standout, for me, however, was the smoked potatoes. A seemingly simple dish, with a great depth of flavour, and done to perfection.

We finished our night off with the chocolate and hazelnut tart, that was really well matched with coconut ice cream.

Given the quality of the food, and the excellent bottle of wine, the bill was much lower than I'd have been happy to pay.

All in a great night.

I struggled to decide whether to give five stars or four.in the end it was four. Staff were excellent, food was great, decor was perfect, the only let down was the price; $9 for a schooner (WTF!) and a little pricey on the tapas. Wouldn't go out of my way to dine here, but for a casual lunch or catch up, its perfect.

Great new small plate and booze focused haunt. Dark and moody with great service and good prices

I wish my experience was as good as all these reviews. Ordered three dishes as the portions were minute.food was disgusting had obviously been microwaved, was still frozen in the middle some items tasted like they came straight out of a can. I was pretty shocked by the poor quality considering the ridiculous price we paid. The interior and mood was lovely would be fine for a couple of drinks however.

Funky spot to hang with great service. Awesome
Share plates but a bit skeptic that 3 pieces of pork belly is considered a 'share' plate because I at the lot myself awesome bar and great wine selection with decent prices

The food is not bad, but is bland and nothing special. The drinks range is good but sizes are small. The service was polite, but un-attentive when we first arrived. Overall, for the price, there are better options nearby.
